AYA JANE FULTON

Appearance Dark eyed and dark haired, Aya has hooves, doe like ears and the cutest little tail in the world. So those with tail fetishes, watch out! If James sees you even standing near Aya the wrong way, he's going to kill you. Pale skin with slightly furred hands and markings on her back, she has three marks on her face. Thats the physicailities, literally. Quiet and usually curled up in a little ball, James normally dresses the tiny girl in shifts and pale colored dresses. Her short hair is usually worn loose, with the occasional ornamental pin.
Personality A quiet, solemn little girl who does not make too much noise, there is something about her that is skittish, but not fearful. Amused and sweet, but not very... mature. Rather like a gigantic pet furball that just wants to sleep and gaze at you all day. A little bit disconcerting, Aya does have the tendency to coo and touch-- in fact, for a deer based persona she is incredibly touchy feely with people she feels attachment to.
Usually neat and quite pristine, Aya doesn't seem to mind strangers in a detached sort of way, but she has picked up James' tendency of removing himself from the action and the noise.
Growth Form General changes in clothing style: James is a little bit of a traditional man, so he's stocked up her closet with dresses and skirt combos, but not many t shirts nor shirts/pants. And in soft, pastel shades as well, with a couple of strong dominants, but no black. She's got an eccentric, extravagant aunt who likes to spoil her with unusual gifts. Little vintage oddities, really. For example, she's received a bright pink silk rose brooch she sometimes wears pinned to her dress, or tied in her hair with ribbons. And a hair band with fake ivory pearls in two rows across the length. Finally, Kelly. The fashion student does like to have the little girl model example of clothing, or material combinations. (She's got the most adorable pink taffetta tutu skirt edges of white lace in her closet...) So certain to say, Aya is an experiment for three different people, who have somewhat clashing tastes. Usually James wins, but... well. You know women. They scare him. General changes in hair length/style: James hasn't cut Aya's hair drastically. One of the reasons being he's too scared to take her to a hair dressers. What if they try to trim her ears? D8 So it's getting longer, although he does sometimes trim it himself at home. (... which is usually majorly traumatic) Nothing special to note, really. Aya sometimes wears it down with a hair band, but thats really decoration and it doesn't push back her fringe at all. Or in two low pig tails, which Julia thinks is a little bit sadistic on Jame's part. General outward display: Aya is quiet, and very sweet. She is a little bit shy when it comes to strangers but obedient enough that when family tells her to be 'make nice and be friends' she usually does try. With grownups and people in positions of authority (such as aunts, baby sitters, sales people) she is somewhat submissive. But it might be the whole size thing: they are clearly bigger, and thus you need to listen to them. Aya has had very, very few interactions with children her size however, so it is still somewhat of a mystery as to her social skills. She is somewhat touchy and feely though when she interacts. Who knows? That might be due to her lack of verbal communication skills. .][03/15][.

Aya as a toddler. She can walk by herself now, but I still like to carry her around most of the time. She's not a baby any more, and certainly more self sufficient... not sure how I feel about that.

Occupation Owner of fusion restaurant “Zuma”
Appearance Tall, lanky and perhaps a little bit unprofessinal looing most of the time, James is pale skinned with shrotly cropped dark brown hair and dreamy gray eyes. Outsde of work he is a dreamy, quiet man who spends most of his time doodlingon pieces of paper and dreaming about Zuma.
However, once he is in the restaurant It is a different story. Life, drive enters those normally placid gray eyes and he is filled with much more drive and passion. With a deep, steady voice and enough charisma to warrant the makings of a restaurant owner.
Normally dressed in a sharp, clean cut clothes, James is never too far away from his handphone and wears the symbol of St. John around his neck.
Personality Professional, well bred. James is quiet and private, somewhat uncomfortable with human interaction and while he does have several sisters and a well connected network of professional friends, it does not mean he knows how to handle most of them yet.
He finds it uncomfortable to spend too much time with other people, and is usually unopinionated and submissive until itcomes to his restaurant, or now, Aya.

A lovely boy who is my first real friend like me. We've decided that every roof top is our secret place. Incredibly charming, and somewhat sweet. Good at taking care of me.
A sweet boy who I trust Aya with. I'm not sure I'll continue trusting him when he gets older though...
GUARDIANS
KAITHALIA PAK
The brains behind the facebook group and the mother of a wolf boy. I don't know her very well yet, but she seems extremely innovative and on top of things to have created such a group so quickly. I haven't met her and haven't seen much of the wolf boy but I suppose we are still in the early stages of a relationship. Quite funny although I don't know if she means to be, or if it is just me finding humor in her situation and words. It would be nice to speak with her one day, and see if her words carry quite the same inflections. The most... how do you, rumbustious of the group, I suppose. She runs a bookstore or something, and seems a little bit lost when it comes to parenthood. Well, I suppose we all are, so cheers to that!
ELISSA DECHAUD
The mother of a bear boy. I haven't talked to her much, but she seems very collected, in my eyes. One of the first people I've come across on the facebook group, I suppose I associate myself with her quite a bit because of the nature of her child. A bear is closer to a deer than a wolf, I suppose. I've seen her profile, and she seems awfully mature for someone so young. Or maybe I am immature for my age... it will be interesting to meet her, and see how much of her personality is carried through the words. Quite frustrating, this facebook business. I hope to see her around a little bit more on facebook.
HUI MIN YING
She is very unusual to me because she is the first parent I meet whose orb is not animal based, but actual song based. I am very, very curious to see the child when it arrives. How much will a song affect it? Physically, and psychologically? I must hunt down this song and listen to it myself. She is very eloquent, and surprisingly wise from what I've seen of her on facebook. I suppose many of us use it as a outlet to rant and question, but she actually seems to defend and argue, giving me (at least) something concrete to work with. Hui seems a little bit... well, tentative as well. Nervous, maybe. But perhaps thats just the way she writes. Honestly, I must meet these people!
JACK CALICO
A pirate who goes by the name of Jack Calico, I have not spoken to him myself. No, Antoine has been the one in communication with him. He seems like a very nice man, and owns a clothing store that will now start producing wares for Rethe Phonne's kids. A good venture I think, considering the fact that those with children with extra... appendages do find it difficult to buy clothing that fit. He is a very gentle sounding man, and lives in Chicago. Antoine seems to like him alot, and wants to take my little call all the way there to meet him and his son. Funny, I don't think it's such a bad idea. He has Aya modeling the clothes on the website for the toddler way: it is a pretty sweet deal! I hope no one sick gets the wrong idea with my baby...

ANTOINE
Antoine is James' second in command at Zuma. Tall, large and incredibly loud, he is probably the one person Aya seems almost all the time. A surrogate mother (in a sense), Antoine is a much respected, well liked assistant manager who is both James' friend and brother of arms.
AyaAya is incredibly comfortable around the older man, seeing him as the loud version of her own Papa. Comfortable with him, while Antoine is still single he does seem to have a way with children.
James This man is my brother, my friend, my assistant manager. He knows everything about my life and more. If not for him, I might never have had the courage to create Zuma and without him, I would probably be just as lost with Aya as well.
KELLY
Kelly is a bright eyed bubbly college student who lives in the same apartment complex as James. She is also Aya's occasional baby sitter when James is too busy. Living across the hall, she is very sweet, if a little bit too quick to speak.
Aya Aya sees in her an older sister, or something much more glamorous as well. Kelly is a fashion student and thus is always bumbling around the home with sketchbooks and half finished creations. Much respected by the Aya.
James A real sweet soul, I trust Aya with her all the time. Although sometimes I do worry for her (living alone?) she does seem to be fully capable of taking care of herself. However, I wish she'd stop trying to set me up with her college professors...
JULIA
James' sister. Although she doesn't live near him, as the closest source of female intuition and inspiration, she is the one James runs to when he needs help with Aya. Younger than him by half a decade, she doesn't like being called an Aunt. Older sister is easier to handle.
Aya A strange, sweet and eccentric woman who keeps trying to feed and coddle Aya. Julia is really taking advantage of the crazy older sister role.
James Not the easiest person to get along with: we've been compared as Moon and Sun, me being the former. Still, she does seem to know a lot more about children than I do. And I'll take all the help I can get.

THE APARTMENT
James lives in a three bedroom apartment not quite in the residential district. Although it had originally consisted of his own room, a study and a guest room, the guest room has now been converted to Aya's own quarters.
Tastefully decorated in muted tones of brown and cream, it is a little bit sterile and cold: however James has never noticed it, and really-- it is quite pretty.
The only exception would probably be the kitchen which has since been installed with state of the art equipment simply because James has bought his work into his home- he lives and eats and breathes his own creations, and those of his chefs.
There is a small abandoned verandah leading out from the living room that James has the plants of converting into a private garden- however, so far it consists of cold slabs of concrete and a single chair.
THE RESTAURANT
ZUMA is a beautiful restaurant located down town that serves an asian european fusion type of cuisine. Open for lunch as well as for dinner, it is now still very young but quite successful.
It is an important space to note as James usually spends his time in the restaurant, and doesn't think twice about bringing Aya with him.

It wasn’t his imagination that she was getting a little bit larger and a little bit heavier. Her hair came down well below her shoulders now, and she had taken her first steps more than a couple of days ago. There was a streak of independence that was carefully hidden when James was watching, because the man seemed to enjoy coddling her so. Still. It was amusing to those at Zuma to see that his little baby girl wasn’t a baby any more. Well, not exactly.
“ames?” a shy little voice chirped in the early morning, and James peered into the room to find his little girl watching him from her bed. He smiled, and she smiled back at him: Aya had slipped into the same schedule as her father, keeping to early mornings without complaint.
“Good morning.” He reached out and picked her up, setting her on the ground easily. “Did you sleep well?”
Her smile was serene. She wasn’t one to talk too much, and in fact James wasn’t sure if she actually had a wide vocabulary. Her words were usually very simple and sweet, and while she did have a tendency of nodding at everything people said, well… that might only be due to the fact that she wanted to please them.
