We were never your slaves....
We were your equals...
But in your vanity you created the beloved race...
Gorging yourself on power..
You grew...and over powered us...
We wouldn't bend to your will...
So you cast us from our home and into oblivion...
But we will come back...
And sacrifice you unto flames.. Many millennia ago, there lived perhaps an even more ancient race of creatures. They lived together in a place that was neither here nor there, the Astral. They had amazing powers, their beauty was almost frightening, they were what some might call Gods or Goddesses. They did not know those words yet, they had not been created and uttered. For quite some time they lived in Harmony, that is until one amongst them whose powers were slightly grander than some became dissatisfied with his position amongst the fold. They had no leader, no mother or father, they simply were and had never known how or why. This being, Daga, became incredibly discontent with his life and used his power to leave the Astral. He created a world of his own making, though nowhere near as beautiful or strong. He gave it everything it needed to survive, but still unsatisfied with it all, he created small and incredibly weak (as compared to the Astral Beings) to inhabit it. Humans.
He began spending his time drifting between his home and the world he created, bragging about his strength and power. He fed off his creation, increasing his strength and influence as time passed. With the meaningless passing of time, for time was most certainly meaningless in the Astral, he decided that the Astral Being needed a ruler and it would be him.
He convinced some by mere speech to join him, others who were nowhere near as strong joined his side out of fear. Soon there was a disturbing rift between the Astral Beings, and war soon ensued. On the side against Daga, they were championed by Apolon. Apolon gathered those who would not submit to Daga and created an army to fight against him and destroy him. Soon Daga found himself being challenged by an Army, led by Apolon, which must meant Apolon was a usurper and wanted Daga's place of honor. This was not the case, Apolon and the Astral Beings who followed him simply wanted things to go back to the way they were. The creations of Daga would later on name the opposing sides, Daga and his Keraphim, and Apolon on the Saerphim.
Fat with power gained from his followers and creations Daga managed to quell the uprising. Daga cast Apolon on the Saerphim from the Astral, caring not what happened to them afterwords, for they would never be able to get back to the Astral Home. Apolon was not completely defeated, and the Saerphim created their own parody of the Astral to live in. In order to do so, Apolon slighted Daga by stealing power from his created world to fashion the home they were now exiled to. In this though, he found that though they didn't have access to the Astral anymore, they had formed a way to venture into Daga's 'Earth'. Apolon and the other fallen decided to wait, however patiently they could, to summon the strength, power, and allies necessary to get back to the Astral and put things back to the way they once were.

.:The Two Sides:.
There are two sides to this war, as always. There is the side of the Keraphim, and their leader Daga, the outcasts and rebels are called the Saerphim, led by Apolon.
Daga's followers are like him in most ways, arrogant, selfish, cruel, but not all of them perhaps.
Apolon and his group are rag tag by every sense of the phrase. Some of them are angry volatile types, others are kind or caring, but too independent to be dominated by Daga.

Note: Apolon and Daga are open characters. I will not be taking either of them unless it becomes necessary. My character however is Apolon's second in command. So if you would like to play Apolon, message me first for details.

.:: My puppetmaster ::. Butterfly_Falling .:: Character Name ::. Anael (Pronounced An-ay-el) .:: Race ::. Saerphim .:: Age ::. Appears 19 or 20 .:: Gender ::. Female .:: Sexuality ::. Bisexual .:: Personality ::. Anael is almost literally two beings in one. On one hand she is a very calm, and very kind. Friendly, and rather motherly. Those that she loves are very lucky, as she would sacrifice everything for their protection. Then, her other personality is quite the contrary. She can be angry, a bit cruel and violent. Somehow, when she is this way, often times she retains enough control that she will place herself somewhere where she cannot hurt anyone with her rages. .:: Love Interest ::. It is something she tries not to think about often. .:: Appearance ::. Toxic Beauty.:: Job ::. Second in command to Apolon. .:: Background/Bio ::. She was a good friend to Apolon since the beginning of their existences. For a time they were lovers, but they were volatile as lovers and fought often, mostly out of jealousy. Eventually they decided to remain friends but refrain from being anything more than that. Even with their past, she valued and admired Apolon more than anyone else. When things went sour, she remained by Apolon the whole time, and helped him in assembling their army. As it was, Daga did not wish to cast her out, he valued her and her skills, among other things, but Anael chose to face exile with Apolon. .:: Theme Song ::. Monsoon - Tokio Hotel

Anael had not seen Apolon in a very long time, at least as far as humans were concerned. There had been a skirmish against the Keraphim about fifty years previous, they managed to escape unharmed, but she was separated from Apolon. In fact, many of their kind had scattered and were searching the earth for each other constantly since the episode. Anael, known to humans as Anna Cassiel, and worked at a small hole in the wall bookstore beneath her apartment. Her apartment was large, and actually had three bedrooms and two full bathrooms! Her natural abilities as what most humans would refer to as a deity, had gained her everything she needed to pass as a human. She had false legal documents that could pass any government test, a drivers license, even a birth certificate. Anael ran a hand through her hair, a tell tale sign that she was agitated and sad.
She missed him and the others, and part of her was a bit afraid that the Keraphim might find her while she was all alone and take advantage of her solitude. With another deep breath she retreated from the small balcony at the back of her building and ventured back into the store so she could open it up. it was very early in the morning, in fact, dawn had not even come yet. The sky was a lovely shade of indigo, it's purplish blue hues slowly changing into warmer tones of violet. It was lovely, to be sure, she wasn't even positive anymore if the sunsets and rises of Astral had been as wondrous.
"Anna" unlocked the front door and began meandering around the store, making sure things were in order and ready fro display. She had one or two people who worked for her, they would be in later to help out. Anael glanced at a book depicting what humans named Angel and bit her lip, it looked a lot like Apolon in many ways. "Where are you..where are my brothers and sisters..?", She questioned the nothingness around her.

Erra had transferred schools; again.
She had an obsession with earth and all of the knowledge that the humans had obtained. Though there was much beyond earth that the human's didn't know, the things they did know were seemingly infinite, and the stories they created for what they didn't know were scrupulously abstract. She had a passion for all things human, and was surprisingly happy as an exile. Life seemed to have purpose now.
So, she had made it her job to be a permanent student. In the fifty years of hiding on Earth she had obtained three different doctorates. She had one in Anthropology, Quantum Physics, and Philosophy. However, because of the age that she looked, none could be applied to her life on Earth. By the time she recieved a doctorate, those around her started to notice how young she still looked. That was when she moved on. The constant moving didn't bother her. She lived a student's life, pretending to be another incoming freshmen at another school, with a job at a local food or retail store, like she had done before. She tried to move to a variety of places, for the people she met were as different from each other as they were from she.
Under a new name, Erin Steed, she was browsing for jobs near the college she was about to attend. She nearly passed up a bookstore, almost concealed among the bright colors of the other stores. She doubted there would be a job for her there, but perhaps she could find another book to add to her collection. She went inside.

Anael was almost too lost in her reverie to notice the bell above the door ringing. Though she was not lost enough not to feel the thrilling tingling sensation buzzing on her flesh, making her a bit giddy. Not quite sure what it was about, Anael made her way back to the front of the store to see who had entered. Something about the woman was so strikingly familiar, it made Anael want to pounce on the girl and drag out the answers right then and there. "Hello, I'm Anna, is there anything specific you've been looking for?", Anael asked. she phrased her greeting carefully. It had been so long since she'd come across another Saerphim, but this girl felt like she might be one. The memory of what another celestial's presence felt like wasn't completely lost to her, but for all she knew it could be a Keraphim. Anael readied herself mentally just in case she had to react and attack. part of her couldn't and wouldn't let herself believe she'd found one of her own, since she'd been looking so long, it couldn't be that easy, could it?

Erra sensed a sort of hostility when she entered the bookstore. The woman who called herself Anna spoke friendly enough, but something about her seemed tense. There was an electricity between them, and she wasn't sure if it was good or bad. Erra stepped closer, but avoided direct contact with the woman.
"Hi. I'm Erra. I'm new in town and I've been browsing for employment...I was just going to have a look around your store." She did so, taking in the homely bookstore with wooden stairs that led to a roped off area. She assumed that it was an apartment, as many of the other buildings on the street were styled the same.
Although there was an apartment above, the room itself was large, with high ceilings. There was a rolling ladder for customers to reach the books on the highest shelves, which were about ten feet high. Many of the books were new, but some were definitely older. There was a locked glass case in the corner that had some of the more valuable antique book collections. Erra immediately gravitated toward this case. Inside there were volumes of degraded hardbacks, some whose bindings were so faded she could not make out the titles. Her hands were itching to run across the volumes.
"Are these for sale, or just to look at?" She asked, pointing to the glass case.

Anael eased a bit and stood next to Erra by the glass bookcase. Her hand rested on the clear cool case as she smiled gently at the woman. "Well that depends, these books a very special some of them are not in languages any speak in this age", Anael began, her voice almost wistful. Anael thought she might offer the girl employment, but first she needed to spend some more time with this interview the girl was unaware she was in. "I speak several dead tongues, latin, and gaelic being my favorites. Half of these I translated by hand, I have the hand written copies upstairs to give to the ones who were compatible with their sources", she explained further. "I love books, they are my life, do you hold the same affections?", She asked, her voice light and friendly this time. Yes, this was definitely an old soul if not one of her kind. But Erra was either very good at playing coy, or she had become so disconnected from the celestial beings that she could no longer recognize the feel of one. It was the direction Anael felt she was going.
"You're eyes were glittering when you saw them, perhaps you have all ready answered my question?", She prompted.
