Setting
About fifty years in the future from the present time (2009). The story starts out in New York City, a major center for all species and events. Since it is the future, there are technological advances, but please, don't push it.

Species
-Humans
I hope you already know what this is. Nothing special, plain ol' humans.
-Vampires
Okay, there's a lot of differences about this species, so I will make everything clear. Vampires are pale skinned, extraordinarily strong, smart, beautiful, enhanced senses, et cetera. They can go out in the sunlight, their skin burns very quickly, but it wont immediately make them burst into flames. Garlic and silver has no effect on them unless blessed. Vampires can eat human food, but it does nothing for them, their meals are blood, and if they go for a while without it they get weaker. The only way to kill a vampire is with a one of the special vampire hunting weapons, burning their entire body to ashes (if not completely burned, they can regenerate themselves), prolonged (like a month or more) of sun exposure WHILE not having any meals of blood, or being drained of all the blood in their body. Vampires can have some powers, such as elemental control and healing abilities, but only experienced vampires and vampires with very pure (less human) blood can have multiple abilities. Yes, vampires can reproduce, no they don't use the bathroom.
-Hunters
These are basically humans with certain enhanced abilities. They are faster, stronger and better fighters than regular humans, but they are not physically equal to vampires. They are raised to be hunters, and it's usually like a family tradition.
-Werewolves
Seemingly normal humans who forcibly turn into a wolfish monster on every full moon. They can partially transform when it isn't a full moon, as in claws and teeth and some characteristics of a wolf, but they can only fully transform on the full moon. Only very very skilled werewolves can actually control their thoughts and actions while transformed, most of them just become savage and beast-like.
-Shapeshifters
Much like werewolves, but they are forced transform into the last animal they transformed into at the full moon. They cannot have partial characteristics of animals like werewolves, but they can transform without it being the full moon, they're also just forced to change at the full moon.
-Other
I was hoping to keep the species just down to these few species, but if you have another species in mind, put Other - (name of other species) in your character skeleton when you send it for approval.

Vampire Hunter Weapons
I'd just like to make a few comments about this.
First, anyone can have them, it's like buying a gun IRL. Get a license and buy one.
Second, any weapon which is a vampire hunting weapon is obviously labeled with a seal/symbol which represents that it is a danger to vampires. So no sneaky business!
Third, please don't be too outrageous with your weapon, but you DO get a lot of leeway on creativity for the weapons.
