This is the residence of the Shadowbane clan. Like the others, this area contains the main village and the surrounding forest. The village is very dark, and is only rarely lit. The woods are similar. And so are most of the people.

Seth Reached up her hand to brush stray hairs from her eyes. It was getting long. She glanced down at the sharp edge of her arrow and considered it for a moment, but thought better and continued to the edge of the swirling dark waters. The current was strong now and the water level had raised from so much of the Spring's rain, but she went on, stepping gingerly into the waters as it rushed about her forelegs threatening to drag her under. Seth stole a quick look at the overcast sky and then returned to the river hoping no one would notice her. One day you will get me killed my friends. She had strode unawares onto Scoria lands, lost in the stars of the murky night sky. Once safely back on Shadowbane soil she trodded along the steep decline into the village and came to a noisy stop pacing on the well used cobblestones. It was beginning to get late and Seth needed to eat something, she had been gone most of the night and the sun was beginning to pry its glowing red fingers over the ridge of the hills. (I didn't read anywhere in the rules we weren't allowed to post- I could possibly have missed it, tho sweatdrop - and my profile hasn't been added yet tho I did sent it in as per the directions, but I'm rather impatient myself, since most of the centaur guilds i'm in have become non-active. *sighs*)
Gin lay on her back, just outside of her hut. She had spent the majority of the day sleeping off a hangover and arranging her hut to her liking. Which basically meant she shoved all of her crap into whatever corner it would fit in. She looked unarmed, but given her occupation of selling illegal goods on the black market, she had several poisoned daggers secreted on her.
Fairly far from the hut, a small, spindly-legged white foal chased after a green butterfly. Toshi was the same color as Gin, and could easily be mistaken for her natural daughter. the butterfly arced high over her head; she reared on her hindlegs, stretching to catch it and her fingertips just brushed the tips of its wings.
"Hey! Get back here!" Toshi called out to the bug, leaping into the air. She lost her balance and squealed rather shrilly as she fell in a tumble of hooves and hands.
Gin winced. "Oi, Tosh, shut up."
Struggling up and pouting, Toshi glared at the mare she called mother. "Make me, butthead." If she had been human and wore shoes, she would have taken one off and thrown it at Gin.
