So, I've been taking Alesse since March this year. No problems with it what so ever. I've been having sex with my boyfriend since November last year.
Now, here's the thing: It's Wednesday in my 28-day cycle. I'm taking sugar pills. So far, I've taken 3 out of the 7 sugar pills. My boobies don't hurt at all, I don't think my areolas are any darker than usual. I haven't had my period yet, but I have had slight bits of random cramps. Actually, on Sunday morning of this week the cramps were the worst. I was sure I was going to get my period within the next two days.
The thing is, there hasn't been any sort of bleeding what so ever. I'm getting a bit paranoid, but I'm waiting until Saturday to take a birth control test just because I do get random cramps here and there.
I've been at work for two weeks, but the last two weeks have been really, really stressful. I looked it up on google and apparently you can miss a cycle while you're stressed out, even while on Birth control. I still have 4 more sugar pills to take before I go back to taking regular hormonal anti-baby pills.
Should I be worrying? We use a condom (but rarely), my birth control pill (Alesse) has worked incredibly well since now, so I really do think it's just stress at this point.
Also, if I'm taking Birth Control Pills - will that mess up the Pregnancy Test? This is something I've never completely understood so I'd like someone to explain this part to gain a better understanding. I know you're only supposed to take a Preggers' test after your missed period to verify, but if I'm on Anti-baby pills, how do I know it's not going to trick the preggers test? @_@; [/Terribly worded Question]

A lot of issues will overlap in terms of what subforum they could go in. So just pick one that seems most appropriate. That's usually better than having two of the same topic running. A person's best guess in terms of the best subofurm is usually fine, and if Niko really thinks it's out of place she can move it anyway. For this topic I would say pregnancy, menstruation, or birth control subforums would all be appropriate.
Here's what I said in the pregnancy subforum:
If you take your pills exactly as directed then it's possible that you're pregnant, but it's very unlikely. If you sometimes take pills late or skip pills altogether, then your chance of getting pregnant will go up.
Stress certainly can make you miss a period. So the only way to know for sure is to take a pregnancy test. You can test accurately even if you are on birth control. If your test is negative you try testing again a week or two later to double check since testing too soon is a common issue.

Pregnancy tests work by measuring a specific pregnancy-related hormone — human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) — in your blood or urine. The active ingredients in birth control pills don't affect how a pregnancy test measures the level of HCG in your system."
