Oh yes, I know you all have chosen your side.
I, personally have to go with Star Trek. Mostly Kirk, Bucard and Janeway's series'.
The new movie blew me away. Totally siiick.

Yeah, I like star wars too but if I'm a trekkie at heart.

So how about you?

lol, you mean Captain Picard n_n
I love Star Trek! Search for Spock was my favourite movie with the first Star Trek. I love the Borg, and TNG is my favourite series. DSN wasnt bad but I dont remember it because that series didnt last long, but Voyager was awesome! I do like Captain Katherine Janeway.

I could marathon TNG for days and hours!!! I did on christmas day!!!!

Oh! and the movie was awesome!!! I saw it three times!

However, I never cared for the series: Enterprise. It was good for the time period it was set in, but that's about it.

Star Wars, hands down, no competition.

Star Trek is one of those shows that I like, but not enough to warrant any real desire to watch it on a regular basis. If there's nothing else on, then I'll definitely watch it, but other than that, I don't much care for it. I liked Next Generation and....Deep Space 9 I think(whichever one had Quark, the Fereingi. Quark was my hero of the Star Trek universe). My mother is a series Trekkie.

But Star Wars will always be my absolute favorite. The world of Star Wars is so much more vast and in-depth than Star Trek in my opinion, and the stories outside the movies are so much more varied(for christs sake, there's a novel that explains the backgrounds of almost every character seen in the Mos Eisley Cantina and Jaba's palace). As far as I know, most, if not all of the Star Trek novels and such are specifically about the various exploits of the Federation and those involved with it.

And no ship in any series ever made can outmatch the Millenium Falcon.

Keep in mind that my entire post is merely due to my extreme bias towards Star Wars. I don't mean to step on anybody's toes.

I love them both so much, but in the end.... I pick star wars.

This is essentially why I love star wars more as well. The whole mythology behind everything in it.

That's a very good reason.
I love Star Trek probably because I was raised on it, and I love all the cool alien costumes

I know enough about either to dislike them both. Star Wars kind of gave away the plot too soon, plus ******** Muppets, and Star Trek was a lot of fan-fiction that just never stopped. Ever.

Now, if we're talking Zardoz vs. Manos, THERE'S a fight to the death!

Star Wars has the deepeet lore I have ever seen. There are so many races, so many planets, so many stories, so much depth. It's immersive.

Star Wars forever.

Well my own preference is Trek, especially Janeway and Picard (can never remember is the series is Voyager, Deep Space 9, Enterprise ect...)
Anyway, I love Star Trek but I must say, despite Star ars cant keep my attention span and I fall asleep(sorry guys), I think it is better. i mean the races, the languages (lawl my friend KiKi can speak 3 of their languages xD), and damn for that time period teh effects are ******** jawesome~
I just like Star Trek better xP It keeps my attention span....

I would like to say its like saying Harry Potter vs LotR and I'd pick LotR but.... Its not exactly the same ><;;;; At least Trek & Wars are in the same genre >_>;;;;

and plus I've have been given teh name William Shatner, cuz I tend to talk like him and emphasize random words when I'm not paying attention... and I make epic hand movement that are so unecessary xD

PRICELINE NEGOTIATOR!

OHMAIGAWD I love Data~ >w<
Android > Borg

Perfectly worded my dear sir. I could not have put it better myself. I agree 100% Although I must say I did like the new Star Trek movie.... it still didn't even make a tiny dent in my love for Star Wars. The Star Wars universe adds so much more creativity and possibility and diversity to the glaxies it features in its plot. <3

Star Trek all the way. I am definitely a trekkie...I have a phaser, communicator, two Tunic shirts, and a spork all from The Original Series.

But...I just started watching Battlestar Galactica... and my inner geek has taken over and BSG is by far the greatest show I've ever seen...I still love TOS, but Battlestar Galactica...it's so beautiful.
