No, you cannot play Wifi on dial up.
If you buy the wireless USB attatchment, you can only play through a broadband connection such as DSL or cable.

In order to use the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB connector, you will need: * PC (The Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector is not Mac compatible) * Windows XP * A high-speed internet connection (such as DSL or cable) * A Wi-Fi compatible Nintendo DS game * and, of course, a Nintendo DS

bealfeal thank you anthoer qusteion though? can i just walk in mc danolds and play right then on my ds with mario kart? bamestop said i could....... confused yeah, I did that today. no more having to buy for a code. just select nintendo wfc, go to connection settings, go to connections, then your DS will search for connections. wait for a while, and if the place does have wifi, it should say wayport. click on that and then it will start saving, and it will tell you that you can't play Mario Kart online with anyone's DS execpt yours. EDIT: Just go to www.nintendowifi.com to check the area around you to see if the local McDonalds has wifi.
