Okay, I have had a few dreams that are like rituals kinda.
And they are all realistic, as if they could be real in a society. And I am always partaking in them.
For example, I had a dream where the ritual was involving taking my virginity. sweatdrop And it was very specific: My family chose the man (I did not know him, he was a lot older, perhaps in 30's. I wasn't supposed to marry him or anything), and I did small tasks like hand him notes, and they all gathered to watch around a special window overlooking a circular, brightly lit white room. I chose at the last minute not to do it, and I remember my family reassuring me it was okay. (I had a feeling I was supposed to be embarrassed, as it was some right of passage, but I was scared).
A few nights ago I was participating in a procession dealing with fertility. I was in a group with two other women, and we were in a single line, filing through a large, dark building lit with torches. Runes/writing lined the walls. I place my right hand over a mini statue of a women, with her legs apart and a large hole with a fetus. A woman's voice directed us to imagine our baby. After that we sat in a circle and celebrated with gifts. There were 3 gifts per woman, and I remember asking what was up because I only had 2 gifts. One of the gifts was a stuffed animal, another a child's spoon and bowl.
Weird, I know. sweatdrop Any ideas what these are? Just another random dream? Or windows into a parallel universe of sorts?

It could be either, or perhaps it's just an amalgamation of themes than you're experiencing throughout your daily life - I've noticed mine tend to run that way, and they usually involve people, objects, themes or ideas that I've been thinking about either very much, or things I've thought about for a few seconds before disregarding and forgetting about them (which, if I can venture my unprofessional opinion, means they don't get processed the right way, and end up getting shoved into my "Things to Dream About" list. For comparison, I had a dream a while ago of looking for an artifact pertaining to Voodoo, and being helped in this by a man who looked startlingly similar to an ex of mine: the amalgamation of both me practising more Voodoo in my day to day life, as well as talking to and thinking about this ex.

Ah, that could make sense, but I haven't been thinking about fertility. I mean, the most I thought about the issue was, "I never want kids." sweatdrop Maybe it is subconscious frustations or desires I don't know about??? Hmm.... Now I am getting all psychoanalytic on myself. lol
And your dream reminded me of a similar one I had. lol I was on an artifact hunt too, and I remember finding this amazing piece. However, this professor guy told me it was cursed, and the only remedy was to chop off my left hand. It wasn't pleasant feeling. gonk confused

The guy helping me (who was apparently a Chinese Buddhist Monk working in an African Curios store o_O) handed me something, and I took it: I looked down at it, and saw that it was a (hopefully fake) baby's head fused into some kind of log or stone. The most terrifying thing about it was that the head felt warm, and I ended up dropping it and freaking the ******** out. D:
