Hevlaska is said to be the "Guardian of the Cube" and has been part of the Black Order since its establishment. She is able to probe inside an Exorcists body through tentacles to touch an Innocence and determine its synchronization rate or hidden potential. While this process is used mostly on newcomers it is also used to inspect innocence that have been showing signs of odd or unusual behavior.

with komui leading again they moved swiftly downwards on the elevator. even from a distance magnus could sense hevlaska's power, as he could with anyone who had power ever since he recieved his tome. when they finally stopped descending komui gave the ghostly figure a small nod. out of nowhere magnus was constricted by pale tentacles, the sudden manoeuvre catching him off guard. he was petrified. thrashing wildly, he started to shout and his tome flung itself open displaying its strange caligraphy.his mind screamed "Let GO!" but komui heard differently. Magnus' lips moved with unnatural speed, not with words that komui or even hevlaska could recognize but with a language so alien it was frightning.
emanating from his hands a small orb of crystal materialised. small at first but it quickly enveloped his body forming a large sphere around him, freeing him from hevlaska's tentacles. landing on the elavator, lips moving uncontrollably, he prepared to fight the strange being. "STOP" komui shouted as he dashed in between the two Magnus, seemingly snapping out of the tomes spell, looked incredibly puzzled
"huh... i should have told you about the procedure earlier, i'm sorry, but most of the time it is easier to suprise them. alot of new exorcist dont like the idea of their innocence being examined so... thoroughly.this is hevlaska. her innocence allows her to determine the sync rate of an innocence fragment. please, allow her to do so. it will not do you or your innocence any harm" after processing the thought and without saying a word Magnus cautiously stepped forward, this time allowing himself to be wrapped by her tentacles. the examination felt strange, his tome seemed to quiver under hevlaska's power. after mere minutes it was over and he was placed safely on the elevator. "synchronization rate 79%, promising"
Magnus was filled with questions. how could she determine that so easily? how accurate were her predictions? was her innocence constantly envoked? exhaustion finally catching up with him he collapsed. he muttered weakly "i... think i need some rest..." and on that note they retreated back up...

The brown-haired girl has returned from another mission. Thankfully, it was a sucess. Above her head, a crimson golem fluttered carelessly. A small smile graced her soft features; masking the dull-ness in her mis-matched hues. As she walked into the halls, she was greeted by the Order's other workers. All in which, she greeted in return. The brown-haired Exorcist went up to Komui's office immedietly only to be told that he was bringing a newbie down to Hevlaska's chamber. With a disgruntled sigh, she made her way back down the many winding stairs and to the elevator that would take her there. She was told to just take the Innocence Fragement there.
It did not take her much longer to reach such a place. She now stood infront of the elevator doors, waiting patiently. Her eyes were casted downward, her toe tapping restlessly. Honestly, she just wanted to eat her fill with Jerry's cooking and go to sleep. It was a long mission for her. A hard one as that being she went solo like usual. Komui insisted that Kanda tagged along, but of course she refused. She did so for two reasons: One, she did not feel the need to be baby-sat. And two.. She felt as if she was too much of a trouble for Kanda in the first place. When she first started out here, he was the one who taught her the basics of combat. Unlike the others, Etna was the only one Kanda seemed to be soft-spoken to.
Suddenly, a high ding interupted her thoughts and her eyes lifted up as as the elevator doors opened. Her mis-matched hues blinked in wonder, glancing at the new Exorcist for a second or so before her eyes shifted to Komui. Her eyes were rather unique; to say the most. Her right eye was green, the left gold. A curse caused such a malfuction. Shaking herself mentally to keep herself in the present, she shot Komui a timmid smile. "Ah, Komui-san. I have returned from my mission. I dropped by your office a while back, but you were at an absence. So, I was informed to bring the Innocence fragment over to Hevlaska myself." Etna bowed her head in respect before standing upward once more.
Her kind, forced smile turned to the other. Her smile quirked up a little more before going back to its former state. She bowed her head once more. "You're new here, I assume? Welcome to the Order." she greeted with a nod of her head. "I am Etna. It is a pleasure to meet you." she introduced herself, holding out a hand. Right when she did so, the crimson snitch fluttered and landed on her shoulder. Looking at Kay, she rolled her eyes playfully. "And this is my golem, Kay." she giggled lightly, petting the golem's head with her other hand.

something made him uneasy now, the tome, the tome had reacted slightly but not enough to force its activation *what is this feeling? an akuma precense maybe? no, its more complex than that...*
Magnus was exhausted but he still had his manners. he did his best to reach out his hand in response but all he could manadge was to stumble forward and stay lurched in that position. "my apologies..."

Etna rose a brow as the other lurched forward. The hand that was reached out for his hand lifted to rest on his shoulder; suppoting him. "Need not worry, my friend. Probably was a long day for you, huh? ... Komui-san, why don't you go ahead and allow him to go to the dorms? He needs his rest. I know how tiering it can be to undergo Hevlaska's exammination." she glanced at Komui, her hand still on the other's shoulder unknowingly. Etna was someone who always kept to herself, but she was also kind-hearted when she is in the mood. That mood is only from a mission's return.
"Ah, Etna-chan. Why don't you take him to the dorms. I will handle the Innocence Fragment." Komui stated behind a cough. Etna finally dropped her arm and shrugged. Either way, it really did not bother her much. She brought her eyes to Kay, and she held out her hand to him, palms up. "Kay, cough it up." At that, the red golem coughed out the Innocence cube. Holding the special item to Komui, she dropped it into his palms.
Komui nodded and went down the elevator again, leaving the two Exorcists alone at the moment. Etna stood there for a while, watching the elevator creep down slowly. Than, when the elevator sounded a way's off underground, Etna turned to the boy. "So, shall we go to the dorms. I don't.. Believe I caught your name..." she muttered non-chantly before starting to walk off slowly; her hands shoved in her pockets.

walking sluggishly alongside trying to keep up he examined her with suspicious eyes *this feeling, is it coming from her? no, thats ludicrous. she is a member of the order after all* "yeah a bed to sleep in sounds nice, my name is Magnus. pleased to meet you. if you dont mind me asking... the symbol on your coat is different to the others i've seen. are you a head of a department? or a supervisor from another branch maybe?"

Etna smirked, glancing back at Magnus. So.. He noticed the difference in her coat. She shook her head from side to side, chuckling lightly. "Haii, a great pleasure indeed. And as for my.. ranking.. I am General. But please, I am not very fond of tittles." she rose a hand in a peace gesture. There was a slight grimace to her lips now. Honestly, she did not understand in why people made such a big fuss about her ranking. Yeah, she is currently the youngest, but that does not really mean anything. Tittles were nothing to her. Actually, she found herself as an equal to the other Exorcists. She was, after all, no better than they are. They're all working at the same goal. The only reason she became General is because the sychranazation[sp?] level she has with her Innocence is past 100 percent.
They walked on and her pace slowed so that he would not have to strain too much to keep up. The General stared ahead of her, her strides long and graceful,

still walking slowly but with more controll now "ah a general, of course, i should have remembered from komui's briefing. i'm sorry, i didnt mean any offence. i just didnt want to sound rude to any my superiors. thanks for showing me the way to my room uum.. (mutters) komui mentioned it before..ah, ms Etna" he clutched the tome closer to his side *this feeling is probably because of her own power, she is a general . she must be incredibly strong to be a general so young. yes that must be it...* after walking for what seemed like hours *just how big is this place?!* they stopped at what he assumed would be his room. he hesitated. "huh, nothing like my room back home..." he said out loud accidentally "thanks again for showing me my room, you are very kind. i hope to see you again sometime, maybe even on a mission." he had immense respect for her *being a general musnt be easy...* muttering again accidentally "i wonder where she finds the courage"

They came upon the dorm area and stopped there. She noticed that his room was only a few doors down from hers. Placing that side-note somewhere at the back of her head, she smiled at him with a nod. "Don't mention it. Anything for a fellow Exorcist of mine. See you around." she smiled once more and turned to head to the cafeteria when she heard his muttered response. She froze and started to ponder over his words. After coming up with an answer, she turned on her heels half-way to face him. "I find the courage.. By believing in my friends.. The Order. Being a General is no picnic. But I only manage by because I want to save and protect the people I love.." she answered. As she spoke, there was something in her bell-like voice. It was passion, determination. It was clear in her eyes that she meant what she said. "I want to protect everyone here the best I can.. You included. I hope you don't mind me asking.. But who's wing are you under? Who is your General?" she asked, smiling softly at him.

"to protect the ones you love huh..." he smiled but his voice was gilded with sorrow "i guess i'll have to find new things to love then" not wanting to pick on fresh wounds he changed the subject as quickly as he could "as for my general..?" he thought hard now, in his state even thinking was incredibly taxing "i dont think i've been assigned to one yet, i've only been told that i am to train under one. i've signed up for a mission already but because i havn't had any training with my tome i doubt they would let me do anything other than observation or support but if it'll help me get better even just alittle quicker then..."

Her eyes softed as she noticed the hurt in his hues. She smiled lightly now; more comforting. So thus comes another member of the Order.. With another saddened past. They were too often around here. She sighed to herself, raking her fingers through her hair. Etna was a polite one, so she did not pry any further. If he wanted her to know, than he would tell her. She would not try and make him. At the thought of painful pasts, she glanced down. Her bright, odd hues dulled suddenly but brightened once more with a mask of happiness.
Sadly, she was good at that. Masking her emotions. She was so good, there were times she fooled even herself.
Her head bobbed up and down, rubbing her chin lightly. "Of course. You need some proper training before being sent on missions on your own. The Order doesn't want any one to get hurt if they can do something about it." Etna answered as she shoved her hands in her pockets again. Her eyes scanned the other and instantly noticed how tired he appeared to be. "Anyways, you should go get your sleep. Who know.. Maybe you'd be put under my care." she winked at him before continuing her path to the cafeteria.

remembering how tired he was he immediately slumped. " heh yeah, i'd like that" * how could i have ever been wary of someone like her* he whispered softly, his tome slightly open with a smile he entered his room, and collapsed.

She walked into the noisy cafeterias and looked around. Everyone was sitting and eating. Talking across the tables. Like usual, the Finders were secluded in their own little group. Of course, Kanda was sitting on his own. With a happy smile, she waltzed to the ordering window expectantly. She just loved Jerry's cooking. More than anything. After the person in front of her ordered, she stepped up. When she did, Jerry smiled at her. "Ah, Welsome back, Etna-chan. The usual?" he asked with an expecting sring. Etna laughed once and nodded her head. The amazing, Indian cook went to work immedietly. When he was done, he slid two trays of food across the counter. "Order up!" he called out. Etna took the two trays and bowed her head. "Arigato, Jerry-san." she took her trays of food and sat next to Kanda. He glanced at her rather annoyed and sighed deeply before continuing to eat his soba.
