Hello, everyone! biggrin

Welcome to The Battle Grounds! blaugh

A very simple, fighting game for us to have fun and win some gold blaugh

Now the fighting is much shorter and easier than before... so it's very easy to win some gold *cough* or lose it *cough* *ahem*

So, how do we play?... simple =)

To begin:

- Challenge any mamber of the guild to a fight (and by "any", I mean anyone at all. You can even challenge the captain and/or crew if you want)

- If your challenge is accepted, then you must both agree on a Bet. That is, how much gold you'll be putting into the game (minimum is 500g up to a maximum of 5,000g) >> However, if you agree with your opponent on a bigger amount, it is up to you.

- You must both send a trade with the gold to me (since I will be over-looking the fights, it's easier to do this through me... it simply sucks having to go from one account to another mule account, so please bear with me. I am not here to steal any gold, or earn any for that matter, unless I win a fight, I do not keep any of the gold, what both players put in the pot is what the winner gets. However if you guys don't feel comfortable with me handling the gold on my personal account, then just say so, and I'll bear using a mule account for you guys, as much as it pains me xD) The trade must have the tittle "Bet: Fight against *your opponents name here*

-After both trades have been accepted, I will create a topic (in this sub-forum, of course) with the fighters names (*username* vs *username*), and on the first post whether it's a 2 out of 3 or 3 out of 5 match and how much is the bet.

And the game starts... the winner, gets the gold!! =D

Note: You can do all this process yourselves if you and your opponent trust each other with bets (do it through me otherwise)... or if you just wanna play for fun, you can go ahead and start one by yourselves, no strings attached. =)

Well, have fun, everyone... and earn goldz!!! *cough* or lose it *cough*

How To fight:

Ok, so after I start a topic with your and your opponent's name...

Example: Bokuden vs. Desibuu

... post your names and fighting styles and begin with the following process ^_^

- Each fighter will use the post action "roll dice" and post using one 10 sided die... whoever gets a higher number wins.

- This is done three times (2 out of 3) or five times (3 out of 5)

- Whoever wins 2 rounds out of 3 is the winner of the match.
If you win 2 in a row, then there's no need for a third round, you're the winner (yes, I realize how obvious that is, but just in case). Unless you wanna go ahead with the third one just for the heck of it.

- Now you can also agree with your opponent to go on a 3 out 5 match, but you must agree on that before you start the match (nobody likes a sore loser that goes "ah, no fair let's go 3 out 5") << if you decided to do this, then on the first post just write 3 out 5.

- If you both get the same number there's no point.

Simple and fast enough, eh? =)

You may use the topic "Bokuden vs. LeonAkiha" as an example =)

You could even add sprite animations as I did on "Bokuden vs. Riion Akiha" =D

It's a game of chance!... *doing Clint Eastwood's voice* so, think you're lucky?... huh, punk? xD

Rules

1. Be sure to read and familiarize yourself with the "How to Fight" section.

2. You cannot start a fight until you've gone through the trading process and I have started a topic for you! (that is if a bet is involved)

3. Aside from the fighters, no else can post in a fight until it is over.

4. Be sure to take turns... don't jump ahead of your opponent. You must wait for your opponent to post.

5. Although it isn't necessary, try to start a fight while you're both online... that way you won't have to wait hours or even days just to finish the fight.

6. DO NOT delete a post and post again if you're not happy with the numbers you get... Be fair.

7. No whining if you lose, be respectful.

8. No gloating and/or rubbing it in your opponents face if you win, be respectful.

If a change or addition to the rules occurs, you'll be notified through the guild's announcement system.

How to use the Roll Dice option

- When you click "reply", there's an option called "Post Action" on the right side, right above the box where you write... there, you'll click "Roll Dice" and you'll see two different options: "Select Dice" and "Number of dice"

- On "Select Dice", you'll choose the 10 sided die.

- On "Number of Dice" you'll always use just one.

- After that is done, you just click "Submit" like you would normaly do to post and the number will appear on the post.

So, I was wondering; will fighters have to match bets or can both people wager different amounts?

Well, the fair thing would be for both fighters to agree on equal amounts, don't you think?, that way no-one loses more than the other.

They can agree on any equal amount from 500g to 5,000g. =)

If your challenger wishes to bet 5,000g, but you only have 4,000g, then you can tell your challenger to please bet less, as you do not have the full amount he/she wishes to bet and agree on something from there. =)
