This is a side drill and is not mandatory for members.
This is, however, available for anyone willing to participate.
“Create your own visual style... let it be unique for yourself and yet identifiable for others.” - Orson Welles
Everyone has their own style in art. Even when they are all within the manga genre, you can always tell the difference between artwork from Tite Kubo's Bleach from Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto. Those who do have artwork similar are often persecuted for "copying" or "tracing" but what people don't know is the benefits of learning other artist's styles in order to better their own. And I do not mean to steal other people's styles entirely, but get inspired and take a part of another artist that you really admired and emulate that into your own artwork!
We will do this and more in the Side Drill:
Style.
Now this is going to be the procedure for basically all of the style drills that we will be doing from now on.

Part o1: Reading - take a look at your given artist's work and see what makes their style unique. More often then not, we will be discussing how their artwork is different and possible ways to replicate that style. Things to look for are eye shape/size, realism/cartoonish, body sizes, typical age group, etc. etc.
Part o2: Copying - this is where we directly copy another artist's piece to get a "feel" for their artwork. Please do not take their artwork as your own and always give credit! A word of advice, if you can't draw it free hand then don't be ashamed to trace the drawing. But if you do decided to trace, please start trying the same drawing freehand.
Part o3: Replicate - try doing some characters from that artist without looking at the pictures. This is going to take honesty to please don't lie! This is not a competition of whether or not you're the best at recreating characters from scratch since we are all here to learn and grow.
Part o4: Emulate - this is where you draw your own characters again. It's okay if there is not difference in your artwork... maybe that artist's influence is already in there, or maybe you just like your style and you want to stick with it. And if there is a bit of difference, great! (if possible, please also upload a before picture to show the difference in artwork during part o4).

((For the time being, I am unsure of how much time I should give you guys, so I'll leave the time for each section blank for now.))
