Has anyone ever just given up on questing for an item? I want golden laurels but it seems like I'll never get 2mil + gold. I did have a quest thread and an art shop but since I have a life (college and all) I couldn't maintain the threads properly. I made quite a bit of gold vending MC's before Gaia changed the MP and added EI's and cash shop items. Is it worth it to vend EI's?

Yes, it is. But you need to know your prices and know your timing.

For evolving items, I suggest checking tektek for their prediction. Usually the day before an item is predicted to evolve, it will go up in price (so hoard already 3 to 4 days in advance). If you want to be safe, better sell it during the spike in price right before it evolves. You could also choose to sell it after it evolves but it's much more riskier since the evolution could turn out crappy and you could lose money... but if the evolution is good, then your profits will be higher.

If you are going to play it, yes, buy now and sell then.
However, I've found that the Tektek predictions are not as accurate as they used to be - items don't always evolve every two weeks. For a lot, it's three. So if you buy in, be prepared to sit on it for at least another week.

I'm sorry to keep asking so many noob questions. sweatdrop I've not been paying attention to Classlike so much so I'm not sure if the price has already gone up or not yet. Although judging from previous experience, I don't think you should hoard the day before it evolves, because the price will usually be on the high side already. Maybe try buying 3 to 4 days in advance. I think it's also important to add that cash shop item prices are kind of crazy recently because of the Angelic Halo raffle. So be extra careful when buying cash shop items because their prices may continue to drop. Lol I don't think they're noob questions at all xd Edit: If you're planning to sell after the evolution, then I guess you could buy now. But like what purplewiz said, it might not actually evolve tomorrow so you might have to wait till next week if that happens. I'm personally not comfortable with the week-long wait since a lot of gaians are rich with cash right now... so yeah, cash shop item prices might go down...

As for myself, I was questing something a while back for this avi, but I really don't remember anymore. I got frustrated after getting so close and then there was a market spike and it went from maybe 270-300k to about 600-700k.

I've never really given up on a quest, I usually go for something I know I can reach. Sometimes I give up on a quest if I find a cheaper and better substitute.

My quest has become harder with all the new RIGged item rares. emo
I tend to blow my quest gold on stuff from them and STILL end up with new stuff to put on my quest list. sweatdrop

I've given up on Winged Anklets, Golden Laurels, Horns of the Demon, and OMG. I started questing those when I was more of a newbie so I didn't really know how to get gold from anything other than bumping. Now I am an exchanger, so its easier for me to make gold and I am a more experienced Gaian so I go for things more in my reach.
But I WILL get those items I mentioned before. scream

... I do it often; I simply don't have the time, nor the drive. I have a bunch of items in my wish list, I could get them most, but I simply don't have that drive. For those super expansive ones, one day I work for the gold, and the next four days I do nuthin! I've given up on Golden Laurels, and a bunch of other things- so much that I remember nothing else.
Someday though, I'll be motivated again.

I never got enough momentum to quest for anything. I'm too much of a pack-rat.
