Aethyr arrived at the base of the mountains and looked up at them. She couldn't see the tops of the mountain for they were covered by clouds. She looked around and walked around the base til she found a small path and began to follow it up into the mountains til it led her to a much used pass. Not wanting to be seen by any who travel the pass she kept to the side in the shadows and traveled the pass that way. She traveled a long way til she came to a mountain that she could climb up its side where then she found a fairly good sized ledge. She stepped out on this ledge that overlooked what seemed like a piecefull valley beyond. She saw what looked like a small village in the middle of the valley and it seemed the only way to get to the other side was to pass through the village. Not wishing to do that she shifted to her pegasus form, looked out again, moved back to the wall of the mountain, and took a running start til she jumped of the edge and beat her wings causing her to go higher and higher into the air. But only high enough so that she would look like a bird to the people below. She then began to fly over the valley towards the other side.

As they arrived at the cave that led out into the mountains they dimounted their horses and led them to the exit and to the left where there was a trail and went down the trail that led down to a lush valley. When they arrived to a small stream they let the horses drink. Sharra turned to Cadoc, "The elder one told me of a couple places we can go to look for clues. I thought that since the second place she told me of was closer than the first we would go there first." She stopped her horse from drinking too much and mounted again.
Cadoc mounted as well, "And where is this place?"
"The place of the Dragon Elders." She turned to look at him, "Dragonfang."
He looked at her and thought that if this was the closest of her two destinations he wondered how far the other was. "That is still a long journey and we do not have enough provisions to last us the entire way." He patted his horse on his neck. "And we will either need to make many stops along they way to rest the horses...Or change mounts."
Sitting on her mount she thought about this for a few moments. "If I remember correctly," And she hoped she did, "There is a village along the way that could help speed us on our way." She paused for a long while, "If it is still there."
Cadoc nodded, then paused a moment as that sank in. "What do you mean if its still there?"
She looked at him, "The village itself...." She paused to find the best way to describe it. "Has the tendency to randomly disappear for a few years. It would seem as though the village and the people were never there." She looked away and gave the sign to start moving, "I had heard many years ago that the village had disappeared, and I believe it had been four years since that day, so the village should be there now."
"And how long does the village remain there?"
There were long moments when she did not speak, "The last times it was there for....four years."
Four years. He shook his head and followed behind his companion.

For many hours they traveled til they reached a rise and looked down on a village that was, as she had hoped, very much there. "Finally."
"Sharra I didn't want to say anything, but I keep having the feeling that something is watching us."
Sharra turned to look at him, "The entire journey?" When he nodded she thought a moment and just shrugged, "It may be nothing if there was danger I would have sensed it." She turned and kicked her horse into a trot and to the village.
He sighed to himself, That's what you said before those bandits attacked us on the way to the City of Light. He shook his head and ready himself for an attack.
