DAERIL'S GROWINGS Introduction Welcome to my Growings Thread! Here, you may request growths for your wolves and Helpers and also send me reminders to grow your pet if I forget. Please read the rules before doing anything else, though. (I know there's a lot of information here, but please read everything. It's there for a reason.)
Status: Busy Status Information: • Active: It means I'm... well, active. xD My days are free and growing your pet shouldn't take too long unless it has a complicated design. • Busy: Still active but busy. Most likely with homework. I can still grow pets, they'll just take a while longer. • Hiatus: I'm away from Gaia or cannot grow any pets for some reason. (My Photoshop may be broken, I may be stuck with a computer without any coloring programs, etc.)
Rules __________1. Do not request a growing here unless I (Daeril-sama) was the one to color the pet or one of the Staff specifically tells you to post here. __________2. Do not post here unless it's to request a growing or you want to add edits to your pet (post for the latter only if it has already been roleplayed out). If you have any questions, please direct them to the Questions and Suggestions Thread or wait for the colorist to show up in the main thread.
Please note that I have the right to refuse to grow your pet if its roleplay(s) show that it's not fit for the desired rank. (Ex: I won't grow your wolf into an Alpha if he or she is easily submissive.) If your request was accepted, then your post will be edited stating so. Once the pet has been completed and dropped off, your post will be striked off. *stolen from Ryu XD

Growth Requirements Average Growth Times: • Wolves: • • Whelp to Pup: One to Two Weeks (1-2 Weeks) • • Pup to Adolescent: Three to Four Weeks (3-4 Weeks) • • Adolescent to Adult: Four to Six Weeks (4-6 Weeks) • • Adult to Adult (Rank Change): Varies per Colorist • Helpers: • • Infant to Adult: Three to Four Weeks (3-4 Weeks)
Remember, the times listed above are just the average times. Sometimes they grow a bit earlier, sometimes a bit later. Keep in mind that colorists do have lives outside of Gaia, and we check every provided roleplay before starting on any growth, so please be patient when waiting for growths.
Roleplay Requirements: • Balkar Alpha/Dragga/Drappa: Before your wolf can aim to be a Balkar Alpha, he or she must already be an Alpha or a Balkar member. • • If your wolf is an Alpha, he or she just needs one completed roleplay showing him or her being accepted into a Balkar pack (by most, if not all, of the current members of the pack). • • If your wolf is a Balkar member, he or she needs five completed roleplays showing leadership qualities. After those are completed, your wolf needs to have one completed roleplay with Bogdan, the leader of the Balkar Packs. (And yes, it is possible for him to deny your wolf's request to be the Alpha of one of his packs, even after the other requirements have been fulfilled. There will only be, at most, six Balkar Alphas at one time, so the position won’t be as easy to obtain.) • Alpha/Dragga/Drappa: Five completed roleplays. At least three of those roleplays must show other wolves joining the future Alpha's pack (not required if your wolf becomes an Alpha by defeating the previous Alpha of a well-established pack). These roleplays must show the wolf has what it takes to be an Alpha and how your wolf raised in rank. • Balkar Beta: Before your wolf can aim to be a Balkar Beta, he or she must already be a Beta or a Balkar member. • • If your wolf is a Beta, he or she just needs one completed roleplay showing him or her being accepted into a Balkar pack. • • If your wolf is a Balkar member, he or she needs three completed roleplays showing your wolf has what it takes to be a Beta. After those are completed, your wolf needs to have one completed roleplay with the Alpha(s) of its Balkar pack. (It's possible the Alpha(s) will deny your wolf's request to be a Beta in their pack, even after the other requirements have been fulfilled. Each Balkar pack is limited to one Beta, so there will only be a maximum of six Balkar Betas at one time.) • Beta: Three completed roleplays. At least one must show the future Beta in the pack he or she was born in/joined, and these roleplays must show the wolf has what it takes to be a Beta and how your wolf raised in rank. • Balkar: One completed roleplay showing the wolf being accepted into the Balkar ranks. Remember that, originally, Balkar were chosen for their strength and exceptionally strong night vision. (This means that it is preferred that your wolves have these qualities, but because the packs are more open (so long as members can prove their worth), it is not required.) • Gamma: None • Tamed Adults: None (Note: A Tamed Adult lives in a human settlement or travels with a human companion. Your wolf cannot grow into a Tamed Adult if he or she lives in the wild.) • Sikla/Omega: None • * Speaker: A Speaker is randomly chosen, similar to Seers. However, a wolf can grow to be a Speaker, with enough dedication. Eight completed roleplays are needed for this. The roleplays must show that both you and your wolf are capable of using the powers of a Speaker responsibly. If it doesn't, colorists have the right to refuse to grow your wolf or decline raising the level of your wolf's Speaker abilities. For more information on Speakers and their powers, please go here. • • Level 1 to 2: Five completed roleplays. • • Decreasing Levels: Your Speaker's abilities will weaken or disappear completely if you abuse your Speaker's powers, get Gray Listed, or get Black Listed. • * Seer: None. A Seer and the level of its power is randomly chosen and the rank cannot be gained through roleplay although its powers may strengthen with roleplay. The roleplays must show that both you and your wolf are capable of using the powers of a Seer responsibly. If it doesn't, colorists have the right to decline raising the level of your Seer. For more information on Seers and their powers, please go here. • • Level 1 to 2: Two completed roleplays. • • Level 2 to 3: Four completed roleplays. • • Level 3 to 4: Six completed roleplays. • • Decreasing Levels: Your Seer's abilities will weaken or disappear completely if you abuse your Seer's powers, get Gray Listed, or get Black Listed. • * Storyteller: One complete roleplay in the Storytelling subforum. The wolf must have been an adult of a different rank for at least one month. • Kerl/Lone/Vagabond: None (Note: A Lone/Vagabond wolf cannot be in a pack.) • * Searcher: Ten completed roleplays of your wolf alive. After that, one completed roleplay showing how your wolf died is required, which means eleven completed roleplays total. Remember that this rank is permanent, so don't go for it if you want your wolf to grow into something else later on. If you would like more information on Searchers, please go here. (Note: Searchers do not have their own unique lines. When your wolf becomes a Searcher, he or she gets more transparent and his or her eyes turn red.)
• Type Change: Type changes involve growing your wolf from a Wild to Tamed or a Lone Wolf to a Pack Wolf and vice versa. These all require one completed roleplay (or a started roleplay, at least, for the (Wild) Gamma and Sikla rank) showing how your wolf changed. • De-Rank: De-Rank is when your wolf lowers in rank in a pack. All de-rankings will need one completed roleplay showing how your wolf lowered in rank.
Additional Information Regarding Wild/Tamed and Speakers/Seers: • All ranks marked with asterisks (*) are available for both Wild and Tamed wolves. • Overlapping roleplays for Speakers and Seers is allowed. However, to do so, you must meet the requirements for both. For example, if you'd like to raise the level of a Seer and grow him or her into an Alpha, as well, but you don't want to make five extra roleplays, the roleplays must show that your wolf is responsible with his or her powers and that he or she is capable of being an Alpha. • You must fill out a Growth Request form to raise the level of Speakers and Seers. • If your wolf is a Speaker or Seer, it's possible for you to grow him or her to a different rank. Whether the lineart is changed or not is up to you (Ex: If you have an Alpha who's also a Seer, you may have him or her in either the Alpha lineart or Seer lineart.), seeing as all of the information will be located on the cert.
Adding/Requesting Edits: • You may add edits to your Varg and Helper (such as scars, a torn limb, modified facial expression, etc., but nothing like hair or full body clothes) if you provide completed roleplays showing how your pet got the edit(s). (For the expression edits, roleplays or a detailed journal entry that show that the edit you want matches your pet's personality will be sufficient.) Accessories such as bandannas and collars may be added, as well. It is preferred that the roleplay have the full description of the edits/accessories (if not, colorists may request a more detailed description if your request is accepted), and they will only be added if the roleplay(s) show how and why the pet got it. (For example, a wolf won't put on a necklace to look pretty. They'd most likely consider another wolf's coat prettier than having a random string of colorful rocks on their neck. You need to provide a reasonable explanation for why the wolf decided to wear it. A human is also most likely to kill a wolf than decorate it with scarves and the like.) If the colorist decides the roleplay is ample proof, he or she will start working on the edit. (Note: The colorist who originally colored your pet doesn’t necessarily have to be the one to add the edits. If you plan to get the edits from a different colorist, however, please make sure to ask the colorist beforehand if it’s okay.) Please note that there's a possibility the colorist will deem your roleplay unacceptable if the only purpose of it was to get an item (at least let your pet meet someone else, let there be some character development, or something), lacked in description (what the item looks like, how the pet got it on in the first place, why the pet wore it, etc.), or some other reason. If this is the case, then sorry, no edit. You're free to try again, however, with another roleplay. If you'd like to make sure you've provided as much detail as possible, try and have these questions answered in the roleplay (if they apply): • • How did your pet get the edit? • • How did your pet manage to put it on? • • If the edit is removable, why does your pet choose to keep it? • • If the edit is an accessory, what color(s) is/are it? What does it look like? (This may not be required because colorists can PM you if they want a more detailed description, but some may be too busy to ask, so making sure the description is in the roleplay is preferable.) Where on the pet is it? • Certain edits for wolves such as blindness (the highlights will be removed from the eyes) and aging (the muzzle will be more gray/white) may be added at any time. Just put in a request in the "Additional Notes" section of the form. The only exception is that the blindness edit can't be added on whelps (because you can't see their eyes) and only wolves who have been an adult for a month or longer may get the gray/white streaks on their muzzle. Only the colorist who colored your wolf may add these edits. • Please note that we won't be giving out major edits willy nilly. If you'd like a major edit added onto your pet, there must be a good reason and, more likely than not, more than one roleplay relating to it. (It would help greatly if a plot or two were involved.) • Edits that aren’t possible naturally are not allowed. (Ex: You can't roleplay your wolf to suddenly grow wings, or for him or her to get a mutation he or she wasn't born with.) Of course, we're not too strict on this (we do have wolves with earrings and such running around, after all), but we're not going to be lenient about it.
Miscellaneous: • Your wolf doesn't need to be a Beta to change to an Alpha. It's also possible for your wolf to de-rank from an Alpha to an Omega. Just show how it happened in your roleplays. • For the ranks that do not require roleplay, you must still show some proof that your wolf can grow into that rank. For example, if you'd like to grow your wolf into a Gamma, give us the link to the pack your wolf belongs to with your wolf's name listed under the Members section or provide the link to a roleplay (doesn't have to be completed) showing your wolf in/joining that pack. • Don't know who or what the Balkar are? Read about them here! • Balkar packs only consist of normal Balkar members, Balkar Betas, and Balkar Alphas (along with the occasional Seer and Speaker). No Gammas, Siklas, etc., so if you request you Balkar to be grown into a different rank, it will be assumed that your wolf is no longer a member of the Balkar.
All wolves grow automatically from whelp/pup to adult. Adults are usually Tamed Adults, Gammas, or Kerls, depending on the wolf. If you would like another rank, please fill out the form with the required roleplay(s). All Helpers grow to their normal adult lines.
Colorists are busy with real life duties so sometimes, things fall through the cracks. If your wolf or Helper has yet to grow, even after you filled out a form, and the colorist is not on Hiatus, please wait two months before posting another form. If your pet still doesn't grow within a month and there's been no notice from the colorist, please send the mule a polite PM with another form (provided below).

Forms To have your wolf (or Helper, I suppose, if it's a late growing) grow, just fill out the form below and post it here. (: Username: Date of Arrival/Birth: Pet Image: Desired Stage/Rank: Roleplay(s):
Additional Notes: Quote: Username: Your Username. Date of Arrival/Birth: When did you receive your pet? Pet Image: Image of your pet. Uncert or Certed, it doesn't matter. You may provide more than one image (of your pet's different stages) if you'd like. The image may be provided as a URL, Text Link, or IMG. Desired Stage/Rank: What stage or Rank would you like your pet to grow into? Roleplay(s): Please provide Text Links to your wolf's roleplay(s) (not needed for Helpers), showing that your pet deserves to grow to the Rank you've requested. Please note that when changing Ranks, you may not re-use roleplay samples you've previously given. (Does not apply to Speaker/Seer/Searcher Ranks.) If one or more of the provided roleplay(s) shows how your pet recieved an edit, please mark the link with an asterisk. Please make sure a complete description of the desired edit is in the roleplay, or the colorist will either decline your edit request or ask you for a more detailed description.
Additional Notes: Any additional notes you may have goes here. (Ex: If you plan to grow your wolf into a Speaker, please state how you want the bird near the Speaker to be colored. Just a general idea, please, this bird isn't a custom. Asking for the bird to be colored after an existing bird (that can be seen in Transylvania) is okay, though, but edits aren't guaranteed.)
