Far beneath the waves lies a submerged city constructed of four giant globes -each facing a point on the compass- that are connected by long metal tubes. The tubes also connect in the center of the four globes, and the effect is rather like a compass, hence the city's name of Compass City.

The connector tubes are also known as the subways, for within them there operate pods as a means of transportation to the different city sections.

The technology of Compass City varies according to the city section. North Point is the cleanest, richest, and most streamline part of the city. West point is less refined, yet homey and pleasant all the same, also having a medium level of technology. East point is more impoverished than the first two sections and has more rustic technology as well. South point is currently in ruins, and is flooded in several places.

Compass City is known for it's commerce and commuting. It also has many high class hotels and casinos in North Point, and criminal underworld in South Point. Bounty hunters and mercenaries tend to accumulate in Compass City as well. In this city their are many ponds and lakes as well as trees and parks. This is to accommodate multiple races.

In the center of Compass City is a docking station. This is where the submarines dock to drop off and pick up travelers.
