Mark and I just got our apartment over in Korea and I should be going out there sometime in the next two months after he comes home for R&R. I was wondering if anyone else was also, a. living in Korea as a non-command sponsored spouse or SO and b. if anyone else was doing it in any other countries. I've been doing all my research online about it and I'm currently getting my visa, but I was hoping for some tips that any other SO's might have for me. XD
I'm so excited and the apartment is beautiful!

Well, I'm in Alaska, but no visa required for that one.
Though, I don't have command sponsorship.
I do have my passport, you are supposed to have one if you go OCONUS. *coughcupcakecough* The army even does the passport for free.

To be honest I was surprised about how easy it was for me to get my passport. I got it a few months ago and it made me wonder why I hadn't gotten it earlier. XD I'm not a "world traveler" so I never needed one until I married Mark.
I wish I could go to Alaska, I've heard it's beautiful there! Plus the flight would be slightly easier on me! 15 hours on a plane is going to be very rough. >.>

yeah.... It's still 15 hours travel time at least to get here, depending where you are coming from.
Passports are really easy to get, Visa's can be harder to get I'm told.
