I was looking up Jim Bowie for history project. Due to similar last names, I stumbled upon the Glamorous David Bowie himself. I looked up some of his music, and starting listening. Instantly hooked I tell you. This was back in the the late 90's for me. To this day, I still love him to death! X3

I was about 5 when I first saw Labyrinth. I saw it at a friends house. I don't remember her name or anything about her, but I remember that day cause it changed my life. I was raised on Jim Henson work, Sesame Street, etc.. So it's no wonder that this one also quickly became my favorite! I watched it hundreds of times as I grew into my teens... and I became curious about the lovely goblin king and his music. The rest is history. The more I listen to his music, the more his music means to me.
20 years of Bowie love and going strong!

Demyx Time! I love Kingdom Hearts and so I saw the Demyx Time show on YouTube and I fell in love with it. One of the aspects of the series (which is almost over now) is that Demyx worships the "Lord God David Bowie". So, that, combined with my girlfriend at them time yelling at me to watch Labyrinth, made me a fan.

um... when i was 16 i was going through a pretty rough patch in life. then i found a copied cd of "earthling".
so i listened to it, and when i did it was like somebody finally understood why i was so confused and upset with life all the time. which was weird, because even i didn't fully understand myself what was was wrong with me.
even now, whenever i feel down i listen to it. i liked it so much that even though i had a copy, i bought the album.
david bowie's music is better than anti-depressants or counsellors.

Thanks so much for sharing. I watch Labyrinth when I'm depressed and it always makes me smile. It's a wholesome, sweet, wonderful part of my otherwise tumoultous life and it takes me back to a safe place. I 2003-2005 I was having a really bad time. My life was falling apart at the seams, I felt lonely, depressed, isolated, worthless, and even more that I really don't even want to repeat. I was listening to a lot of Bowie then. I was trying to expand my catalog... the more I listened, the more I felt a bit better about my life and a bit more whole... It may sound silly to 99% of the world, but I feel like he saved me from junping off a train platform...

Well, I would put you in that 1% then. You don't know how much I got teased by friends and schoolmates growing up because I love him the way I do. During that time period I was deeply depressed and his music picked me up - I got a tattoo to tribute him and what his music gave me. I wear it proudly, no matter what anyone thinks. I'll post up a pic.

BASH has something to say! When I was about 3 or so we rented Labyrinth. I remembered faintly liking it, but it wasn't life changing. Then, I went to a friend's house at age 5 or 6, and we watched Labyrinth. I don't remember her at all, where we were in the country, or even what she looked like. But I do remember that she was a pathological liar. She lied about everything... And then I forgot about David Bowie for awhile until I saw him in that Spongebob movie. Haha. That will be all.
