What kind of music you listen to? What bands do you listen to? What songs are special to you and do you have a favorite genre? These are things that can be discussed here. If you don't have a favorite(s) for all, then just the ones you can relate to.

Music: I like to listen to all kinds.
Band: I have some many I can't list all. But I like Nightwish, Ace Of Base, No Doubt, Within Temptation, The Cruxshadows, Nickelback, Three Days Grace, ThouShaltNot, My Chemical Romance... Those are all I can think of off the top of my head.
Song: I have many of these. My current obsession is the soundtrack from Repo The Genetic Opera.
Genre: I would have to say Gothic.

Bands/Artists: I have more than one favorite and they would be Metallica, Christian Kane (KANE), Dream Theater, Nightwish, Pantera, FLOW, Creed, Darling Violetta, Maná, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Nickelback, Slipknot, Barry Manilow, Nightmare, Andy Hallett, Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Journey, Shoko Nakagawa, Queen, Linkin Park, Iron Maiden, Bad Religion, Sum 41, Armin van Buuren, Scooter, and Asian Kung-Fu Generation. The major artists I listen to the most.

Band/Artist: I do have more then 1 favorite band, which follow as; Disturbed, Sonic Syndicate, Dream Theater, Pantera, Creed, Bullet For My Valentine, Slipknot, Skillet, Rammstein, Black Label Society, Black Sabbath, Lamb of God, 30 Seconds To Mars, Dir En Grey, Drowning Pool, Dropping Daylight,, and Papa Roach. *Please keep in mind, that these bands I just listed are not in order*
I could sit here and list my favorite songs from them bands, but I'd think that's page stretching from typing too much. Lol
Even so...
Genre: I mostly consider Techno: Industrial, Trance, Electronica, and House. Heavy Metal, Alternative/Hard Rock, Gothic Rock, some J-Rock is considerable and so on..
I do not like the Genres Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, and anything that would be a disgrace to music. I do not mind funny songs, but they'd have to be funny enough for me to actually consider them.

In general I'm a Prog Rock fan first and foremost, but I do dabble in Progressive Metal, though not as much as I used to. I'm also known to listen to the occasional Death Metal album, but other than that I'm into Blues and a bit of Jazz.

It's rare to meet another Mr. Sirius fan. Not many people I know even know they exist, let alone love 'em.
I've been trying to dive into the Japanese Progressive Rock scene for a while now; I never would have guessed they had such a strong presence in the Prog Rock world in the 80's and 90's.

Yeah, I wouldn't have guessed either. Japan has been a dream to go since I discovered the music scene there. The funny thing is that Japanese Pop, to me, utilizes the guitar alot, like those of Prog Rock or Prog Metal bands. I don't know if you heard Ichirin no Hana by High and Mighty Color but the guitar work reminds me alot of Jason Becker or Marty Friedman (he was why I wanted to be in Japan for its music scene) Another reason is the anime whee

I like a little bit of everything, but my favorite bands are: Rise Against, Paramore, Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, Lady Gaga, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Goo Goo Dolls, Theory of a Deadman, P.O.D, Puddle of Mudd, Our Lady Peace, Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Nightwish, Eminem (I know not really a band lol), D12, The All-American Rejects, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Nickleback, Rasputina, Evanescence and that's all that comes to mind right now.
