how do u get the summons for ff8 all of them

normally, i would just shun you away to gamefaqs as well...but...summons are what i do in FF, other than the music of course (Uematsu is GOD!!!)...neway, so im gonna help you...lessee if i can member all of em eek

Yes the great dark GF is trapped inside a lamb. A fluffy little lamb. Oh the bittersweet irony.

You also forgot Odin. 3nodding Odin a boss you have to defeat in the tower where you eventually get the Tonberry King/GF. I believe there is a timelimit if you choose to take him on. He doesnt work like the others, he shows up randomly at the start of a battle, and instantly kills one of the enemies (unless of course they are a boss or something). Once you fight Seifer on the whats-it-floating-block-of-doom, Odin will show up at the beggining of the battle and get killed. (T__T) After he dies, later in the battle Giglamesh shows up, who works in the same fashion as Odin did. (noted non of this happens unless you had Odin before the battle) Except with Giglamesh, he'll either use one of four swords. One which does a little damage to one enemy, I think another does medium damage to the enemy group, and then a third that does a lot of damage. The fourth is of course, Odin's sword, which does exactly what you think it would. Instantly kills your enemies.

(I actually can't remember if Odin kills the entire group of enemies or just one. confused )

And there's also Phoenix (combine 3 Mega Phoenix's to get a Phoenix Pinnion, use in battle), Chocobo (Gysahl Greens Item) and Momba (Japan Exclusive! sucks to be european)

oh and just to clear something up a friend of mine believed: you CAN beat Seifer without Odin, there's no real difference in the battle, not even in the amount of damage you have to do.

if you sacrifice one of the Brothers card, getting The Lionheart and such aint that hard on disc one

elnoyle cards turn into Energy Crystals, and T-rexsaruses drop Dragon Fangs - takes a while though - and i want that cheat disc *cries* XD

ok, couple things: Diablos is in a magic lantern that Cid gives you. You can either talk to him to receive it, or when you leave, he'll give it to you. You get it whether you like it or not!

And I believe you all forgot about Alexander. You draw it from Edea on disc 2 when you fight her in Galbadia Garden. You fight her twice inside, so I don't remember which fight it is, but try both battles just in case.

You can beat Seifer no problem without Odin, but you have to have him before the fight in order to get Gilgamesh. I've only seen this happen in the battle in the Lunatic Pandora (End of disc 3), but I've heard if you get Odin before the galbadia garden fight, it happens the same way, but as I said, I'm not positive about that.

Odin begins the battle, but obviously is killed by Seifer and later comes Gilgamesh before they go poof in the end of the battle. biggrin

When attempting to aquire Bahamut, and you enter the deep sea research center thingy (which you need the Ragnarok for, Balamb Garden won't get you there), DON'T WALK INTO THE LIGHT!!! GWAHAHAHA!! ..
If you walk when the light is on, you will encounter a battle. If you walk between light flashes, which can be difficult at times, without moving when the light flashes, then you'll be safe. you gotta get to the front and center and bahamut speaks to you in a creepy fashion. You have to say the right things to him in order to fight him. You have to fight a ruby dragon once or twice, but if you say the wrong thing, you'll have to fight another ruby dragon for every time you speak wrongly. That's just a warning, I don't remember the selections or anything, FAQ's and walkthroughs have em.

Oh, and, in a normal non-Seifer battle, Odin kills all enemies when he appears.

Though it's ironic. When you defeat him, he says to call him when you need his sword, but there's no way to call him, he just shows up whenever he pleases!

Some of the GFs can only be drawn from certain bosses. I learned that the hard way... sweatdrop
