Dharivell is a world located on and in and under the seas of Aster. It is one of the few places where uninfected beings can survive. Although it is home to many other perils, such as sea monsters, typhoons, and occasional raids of Enraged sea creatures, there are many times of peace and stillness.
Beings who dwell in Dharivell are generally called by their race name with the word "sea" tagged on the beginning. Common races that can be found in Dharivell cities are as follows:
Sea elves
Sea men (sea dwelling humans)
Sea dwarves
Sea gnomes
Mer-folk
Water Pixies
Were-whales (believe it or not)
Sea Centaurs
Sea Satyrs
Sea Fauns
Cities of Dharivell come in Five types: Floating, Submersed, Aquatic, Ship-bound, and Air Pockets.
Floating cities remain in one place, usually anchored down. They range from being built on coral reefs (which are more rare finds) to being made up of a giant wooden raft. Some cities are made up of floating docks that serve as streets, whilst the buildings are boats that can be moved around. Floating cities are favoured by Sea men and many Sea dwarves.
Submersed cities also remain in one place, but they are, as their class suggests, submersed beneath the water. They can be made of steel, multi-glass, or a strange sort of magic wall that holds in air and keeps water out. Then again there are also the magic cities that, once you enter through their iridescent borders, you can breath the water, almost as though it was changed to a sort of liquid air. Submersed cities are favoured by Sea elves, and Water pixies.
Aquatic cities are built on the ocean floor and thus remain in one place. They can be made of coral or stone, and are generally uninhabitable to air breathing races. Aquatic cities are favoured by Mermaids and Sea Nagas.
Ship-bound cities are moving (unless anchored) and are generally giant ships. Hundreds of people are able to live on these ships, which are usually either made of wood or metal. These cities vary in size and shape, some ships having the city above deck, others having the city below deck. Others, still, have the city on several levels. Ship-bound cities are favoured by Sea-men and Were-whales.
Air-pocket cities are the most rare and strange of all. How the inhabitants found these air pockets is a mystery, but these people live in the air filled caves far below the surface of the ocean. The cities are carved from rock and you are usually able to hear the sounds that come from a forge. Sea dwarves and Sea gnomes primarily inhabit these cities.
Although each race as a whole has their own preference, representatives from each can be found in any of the cities.
