Ano...This is my new story. It's a Yu Yu Hakusho X OC (original character) one. Ano...I hope you like it. Please tell me how I'm doing so far... I'm only gonna be showing it little by little...



A young woman with long purple/black hair and garnet eyes was sitting silently in her room. She got up as she prepared to head out. She wore a long kimono that was white, gold, and a slight of pink. Over it was a kimono like jacket. It was purple and gold. On her ears were long gold earrings that had feathers at the end. A gold crown was on her head and attached to the crown were gold embroidered braids with feathers. Her shoes were flat and black and as she walked, they made no noise. As she stepped into the lit corridor, she looked around. Fire torches lined the halls brightening it. The young girl sighed as she walked towards the window. Placing her hand on it, she looked outside. Outside was a world the young woman hadn’t been too. There were flowers and plants and various animals. The only outside the young woman knew of was the imperial gardens and the dragon corral that her family had behind the house. Her house was the imperial palace of the Kusanagi clan and she was the princess of the Mystic Realm. It was her home and her world and yet... She hadn’t seen any of it outside the palace walls. She wanted the things other girls had. Friends, a family that wasn’t dead, love. Most of all, she wanted freedom.

“Ariko dear. Wake up sleepy head.” The young girl opened her eyes and sat up. “Ohayo.” She greeted the maid. She got up and headed for a shower and then changed into her clothes. “Mi lady, someone is here to see you.” Ariko tilted her head in confusion. “To see me?” She was confused. She wasn’t used to getting visitors. “Hai. Shall I lead you there?” The maid asked. “Oh. It’s ok. I’m sure I can find the front hall.” Ariko said. They shared a smile before the maid left and Ariko slipped on her shoes, ready to head to the front hall.
Meanwhile, in the front hall were four young men and two young women. The tallest had orange hair and black eyes. He was dressed in a blue school uniform. The second tallest had long red hair and beautiful emerald green eyes. He was dressed in red. The third one had slicked back black hair and mahogany eyes. He was dressed in a green school uniform. The shortest one had spiky black hair with a white starburst in the center and his eyes were a deep crimson. He was dressed completely in black except for his scarf and the bandage around his forehead which were white. The tallest of the young girls had long silver hair and blue eyes. She was dressed in black jeans and a black long-sleeved shirt. The other young girl had short blond/brown hair and brown eyes. She wore a sleeve-less pink top and a pair of dark blue jeans.
“What’s taking her so long?” The orange haired one said. “Kuwabara stop yelling!” The brown haired girl said waking him on the head. “Ow! What the hell was that for Kairi?” He asked. “She just felt like hitting you.” The silver haired girl replied. “You’re evil Ayashi.” He said. She stuck her tongue out at him. “Will you guys just shut up?” The short guy asked. “Why don’t you Hiei?” Kairi spouted back. Hiei glared evilly and Kairi hid behind the guy in green. “Yusuke! Hiei’s gonna kill me!” She said. “Looks like she’s here.” The red head said. “Who’s here Kurama?” Yusuke and Kairi both asked simultaneously. They turned to see a young girl in front of the staircase.

“A... Ano...” Ariko said unsure of what she was supposed to say. Quickly she bowed. “Konichiwa desu. I’m Ariko Kusanagi.” “Konichiwa! I’m Kairi!” A hyper brown haired girl said jumping up and down. “Wanna be friends? Huh? Huh?” She asked. Ariko nodded silently and a bit freaked out. As introductions went around, Ariko couldn’t help but feel out of place. She wasn’t used to having people come and see her. “So why are you here?” She asked. “Well Pacifier Breath told us to come and make you a Rekai Tantei. He said that you would be a very valuable asset to the team.” Yusuke said. “I see. Well okay then.” She agreed. She flinched when Kuwabara put his arm around her shoulder. “Besides you must hate having to stay here all alone with your family always gone.” He said with a big stupid grin. “My family is dead. All I have left is my brother.” She said quietly. “Oh. Gomenasai. I didn’t mean to bring anything bad up.” He apologized. She stayed silent but then she smiled softly and turned to the others. “So how does this work? Being a Rekai Tantei I mean.” She said with a nervous laugh. “We just mainly go on missions and tournaments and all that other stuff. Basically it’s just what Pacifier Breath tells us.” Yusuke explained. They headed out the door. “Coming?” They turned to her. She nodded. “I’m actually gonna be able to see the outside world!” She thought excited.

After entering Rekai, Ariko soon learned that ‘Pacifier Breath’ was actually Koenma, the ruler of Rekai. After that, she was to share rooms with Hiei until they could get another room for her. Of course Hiei wasn’t too happy about this.
“Why does the onna have to stay in my room?” He demanded. “Well... Ariko may be an excellent martial artist and fighter but she’s still a princess. She could be kidnapped if left alone. So you are to be her bodyguard.” Koenma explained. Ariko had shrunk into a corner. “Why does it matter though?” She asked. “My family is dead so there is no reason for worry if I get kidnapped. As long as I still have my dragons, brother, and weapons, if the fortune and money is stolen, it doesn’t matter to me since I have no reason for it. But besides my brother is king so he should be worried about being kidnapped. Not me.” She explained. “True but still.” Koenma grinned. “Every princess needs a bodyguard. Who knows...” He leaned close to her. “...Your bodyguard might end up being your prince.” He whispered in her ear. She turned red. “Koenma-Sama!” She said making him laugh. In the background, Hiei was really mad since his question and his presence were being ignored.
