Yuki was still wandering the plains, hoping to catch sight of just one more cat to kill. One more, and he'd get a reward from some farmer's wife. Ah well, a reward was a reward, right? He scanned the grass for signs of life as he moved, looking for signs of life to throw rocks at.

The cat prowled its piece of the landscape, making sure it wasn't about to become part of some bigger cat's lunch. It sniffed at a nearby bush before marking it and continuing onwards.

Yuki continued to move, picking up a rock at random and examining it before tossing it back and picking up another random rock. After a while of this, he found a nice, smooth rock and got his sling out. He settled the rock into its new home and started to spin his sling lazily, giving it just enough speed to keep to rock in, but not enough to fling it at anything... yet.

Yuki thought he heard movement out on the plains and the sling at his side started to whirl faster and faster until it was a blur. Only once he was close enough did he see that cat through gaps in the grass. With an abrupt, practiced movement, he sent the rock flying towards the cat.

The cat yowled as something struck it, and it promptly spun around in a complete circle, claws at the ready to hit whatever smacked it. Only a rock was there to greet the claws. The cat hissed and spied something new through the grass. Intruder! It launched itself towards this foe.

Yuki stayed where he was and looked around for another good rock. He picked up the smoothest he could find and placed it into his sling. A quick whirl or three, and the rock was soon a blur heading towards the incoming cat.

Down went the cat. It stayed down. Yuki waited a moment before putting his sling away and moving forward to check out the cat. That done, he proceeded to search the area for any treasure that might be lying around, either on the ground or a bit under it. At last! His third cat! He could turn the quest in and go back to the forest now. Once he was done searching, he turned to head back towards town.
