Yuki searched the plains for more monsters. He was not, however, looking down. He stepped on something. Again. He jumped with a shrill squawk and his dagger was out and slashing down before his legs kicked in and carried him away.

The rat was also surprised. It was just minding its business when something big and heavy stepped on it. It didn't even have time to bite before the pressure was lifted and the rat saw something running away. It chased after.

Yuki came to a quivering stop finally. He looked at his clean dagger and put it away before getting out his sling. Well, he found a monster. He selected a likely rock before loading it and setting the sling twirling. He turned to face the monster and was shocked to see a rat coming after him. He aimed towards the rat as the sling whirled faster and soon the rock was sent hurling its way.

The rat dodged the inbound rock and steadily continued on to teach the big meanie a lesson in learning to watch where you step!

Yuki slowly backed away from the enraged rat. He scanned the ground for likely rocks and finally picked one up. He loaded it into his sling as he continued backwards and started his sling spinning. He finally stopped some distance away and started his sling really moving as he watched the rat. After deciding he knew where it would be next, he sent the rock flying towards the rat.

The rock smacked the rat and stopped it dead in its tracks. Literally. Yuki came forward and examined the dead rodent before searching the area for goodies. He then continued onwards. He needed another cat for the one quest after all.
