Dentrin looks sideways at the child walking with himself and his love. The little things is practically running to keep up with his long legged strides. If she would but let him pick her up and carry her, she needn't tire herself in such a way. She acts negatively to his presence, however. He can't even look at her without the girl cowering. At this rate, people are going to think he stole the child. Raine's feet hurt and her leg muscles are sore. They've been walking along this dirt road through this thick forest all night. The sun set hours ago. She's tired and thirsty and hungry. She can barely keep up and has to keep ducking away every time the vampire prince tries to grab her.

The blonde violet eyed dressmaker was tired and chilled to the bone, easily done with a man his small of a size. He yawned, grabbing the child with ease and care, holding her close as he looked to Dentrin, stopping to breathe. They had no need to travel this way, to travel as if they were running away. The Queen and King had given them their blessing, giving them papers that would give them passage to wherever. "It is late," he said softly, looking lovingly at his lover's eyes. "We are all tired. Let's find some clearing to sleep on or find an inn, alright?"

]color=red]His violet eyes look to the child. He can tell she's shivering now that she isn't exerpting herself. With a soft sight, Dentrin nods. "Yes, I suppose we should stop." He looks down the road silently, testing the air. "We are almost to an inn. It would be better for her. Warmer." She had laid her head upon Erst's shoulder. At the mention of warmth, Raine lifts her head hopefully. She isn't used to being cold. Things in this world are still quite new to her.

Erst readjusted the girl so that she was under his cloak and he smiled to Dentrin, knowing he was probably still getting used to such simplistic human ways, needs and... desires. A slight glint sparkled in his violet eyes that could even be seen in the dark forestry. "Much more comfortable, yes?" he breathed, licking his lips slightly.

He watches that one movement hungrily. "Incredibly so." With a promising smile, he starts walking again at a pace that will be comfortable for Erst. Those violet eyes glance at the child again. Why does he get the feeling they will run into trouble soon? Raine snuggles in against Erst. She's tired and feels ravenous. She must be about to go through another growth spurt. She always feels this way right before she grows a lot. She catches the vampire looking at her and tries to cringe away.

The blonde smoothed down Raine's hair, feeling her tension. He carefully fished out a piece of candy from a pocket, offering it to her as he followed after his lover. His walk was a bit stiffer as he had heated his own blood with the though of Dentrin over him, their mixed sweat and heated breaths... He shivered with the thoughts, wincing slightly.

A happy sound passes her lips and she takes the candy quite happily. After popping it into her mouth she smiles rather cutely up at Erst. She likes him very much and he always makes her feel more comfortable. Will this be what it is like when they have a child of their own? Will their child react to him the way this one does? It is a disheartening thought indeed. Heartbreaking. The inn is in site now. "We're almost there..."

He steps up so that he is matching Dentrin's pace, grabbing the vampire's hand with his free one. He gave him a private smile, a smile he only shared with him, his lover, his beloved, his prince. "We... should have enough for two rooms," Erst said quietly, hinting slightly at what his groin was aching for. The dressmaker needed to find a way to both satisfy their needs and to reassure what doubts he saw in those violet eyes.

"Indeed, we do." He knows they have enough. More than enough. He gives Erst a smile. His love always seems to know what he needs. This will be good for them though he isn't sure how the girl will take it. He'll have to make sure the rooms are connected. Raine becomes very uncomfortable. They're quite close to the vampire now. Quite close indeed. The candy and Erst were almost enough to distract her from the closeness. Almost.

Erst sighed quietly, hating how the relationship between the vampire and the god child had turned out over such a short period of time. It had been no longer than a month that they had received permission to leave the Dragon kingdom castle of Emslebeth and Geon. It had been no longer than a couple of weeks since they had actually been away, and now this?
He pressed gentle kisses along Raine's face, her cheeks, her nose, her eyelids, silently beckoning her to sleep as he knew it was already pulling her towards. He squeezed Dentrin's hand, slipping him heated glances as they came to the small village's walls.

Raine's eyes slowly drift shut. In her uneasieness, soft dragonic noises escape her while she sleeps in Erst's arms. Dentrin looks to the small village. He isn't sure how his presence will be handled. If it is anything like the last one, they will be welcomed because the girl has dragon blood flowing through her veins. Hard to believe that the little thing is a child of gods. What are they to do with her? When will she be taken from them? He sighs, not knowing.

The blonde made a worried sound as he looked at Dentrin. "We are getting further away from Emslebeth's people, love," he whispered so as not to wake the child. "And we are getting closer to your kind." He reached behind the prince and pulled his hood up as a precaution. His long fingers ran down the vampire's pale cheeks before cupping his face softly, wanting to kiss him and more, the child keeping him from doing so at this moment.

His face is well hidden in the shadow of his hood. He kisses Erst's hand. "This will be the last of the dragon villages that we encounter." He hadn't really noticed until now how fast a pace he had been keeping. Dentrin doesn't tire as easily. They're lucky the child hasn't grown ill or callapsed.

Erst was surprised that the vampire had not noticed how tired he was, having only exercised at the castle with intense bed play. He smiled though, hoping that with the closer they were to Dentrin's homeland that his mood would lighten up and that he could start mending the relationship between the vampire and child. "Why don't we spend some time here before moving on?" he asked, violet eyes searching for any sign of an inn. "We are in no rush and to sleep in sounds marvelous." The blonde hugged the prince's arm close, leaning against his shoulder.

Dentrin can feel the eyes of the villagers upon them. It doesn't matter to him though. Turning his head, he lays a kiss upon Erst. A light kiss, but a kiss just the same. "Perhaps that would be a good idea. You are tired and need the rest. The child certainly will sleep in once in a warm bed." And he didn't want to reach his lands yet. Not really. Just a little delay. He aims them for the inn as they walk along.
