I'm quite fond of symphonic metal and classical redone as metal, as well as things, though my knowledge of music in general is unfortunately very limited.

However, I don't care much for speed or power metal. Most of what I've heard of those types seem to be much the same, and seem to quickly dissolve into just noise. confused

That's my opinion, obviously, but, meh. There it is.
