Bands that fit the bill on alternative rock would be SOME of those put under nu metal such as Linkin Park or Papa Roach and SOME Grunge bands such as Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Hard Rock bands that fit the bill would be SOME nu metal bands like Limp Bizkit or Ill Niño and SOME Grunge bands such as Alice in Chains or Soundgarden. And even bands placed as both such as Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace. It all fits in here for discussion.
