History: Hikari’s fate was decided long before she was born. Her family used to be Angels, belonging to the Heavens with minimal ties to the Earth. Her grandparents were in the hierarchy of the Angel society, and at the time, it would seem that the entire family would stay that way. Their life was going well, and they soon had a daughter, Hikari Yamamoto’s mother.
This was where their family’s angelic legacy ended. Her mother, named Alena , was one of the few Angels that had an increased interest in the human world down on Earth’s surface, more than most Angels usually had. Her interest showed in a young age, and her parents immediately became wary. They knew the consequences of being too attached and involved in the human world were extreme, and as their daughter continued to grow in her addiction to humans, they began to take action. They forbade her to look out on Earth, contained her to the Heavens, and tried to get her mind away from Earth’s surface. The increased prevention methods inacted by her parents only pushed Alena to look into the human world farther, and against her parent’s orders, she snuck down to the Earth’s surface more often. She took things even farther when she hid her wings and actually began walking around in the crowds, observing people as she masqueraded as one of them. She also knew the consequences of her actions if she were to be caught. To Alena’s mistake, she felt as though she would never be caught. With that confidence embedded into her brain, she began interacting even more with the humans, eventually gaining the eye of a Japanese man named Daisuke Yamamoto. They began falling in love with each other, and that was when Alena started losing her guard. She began infatuated with Daisuke, and her parents noticed, as did other Angels. Unknown to Alena, the other Angels began monitoring her every move, and soon she was caught in the act of being in love with a mortal. Her punishment, as Alena knew, was severe. She was banished from the Heavens, never to return again.
Luckily for her, Daisuke took her in, and they lived happily on Earth together, eventually having a girl who they named Hikari. She was obviously, a halfblood between Angel and Human. Her birth is an extremely rare case, since cases of exiled Angels are extremely low. Her parents decided to name their daughter Hikari, because the word is the Japanese translation of ‘light’.
Hikari gained her wings when she was born. Though she had her mother’s angelic traits, her physical aspects were dominated by her father’s Japanese heritage, giving her the black hair and eyes. When she was seven, she began flying, and she gained her magical abilities shortly after. She attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry when she was eleven, and had a few years of nice, plain studying. She always kept her wings hidden at school, afraid of what the other students might say because she was different. That went well for the majority of her years at Hogwarts, though one specific incident changed everything.
In the middle of Hikari’s seventh and final year of school at Hogwarts, she was observing a mock Quidditch match between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. Everything seemed to be going well, except for the turn of events that was caused by a bludger deciding to switch its target rider, instead aiming for the Hufflepuff Keeper, catching him unawares. The resulting impact shot the Keeper off of his broom, sending him plummeting down towards the ground. In a split second decision, Hikari leapt off the stands, summoned her wings, and caught the boy midair. As she lowered them both to the ground, her stomach was filled with dread. What were her housemates going to think? What was the school going to think? As her feet touched the ground, she refused to look at the boy she had just saved, bracing herself for ridicule and scorn because she was half angel, half human, or that she was partially a fallen angel. Instead, she was met with acceptance and awe. She was so confused and overwhelmed at being accepted that she broke down crying, happy that her peers had accepted her.
She went out into the Wizarding World as an adult freshly graduated from Hogwarts, confident that she would be able to secure a job and live a happy life as a half breed. There was a mixture of responses to her applications. Some jobs were offered to her. Jobs she applied for were often met with scorn and laughter because she was a half breed. After the attitudes that she had received, she decided that she would return to the only place that she had truly felt accepted…at Hogwarts. She applied for a position as a teacher for Astronomy, and also to lead the new studies of Performance of Magical Arts, since the second was an extra curricular. (Not sure if I can apply for both, since one is an extra curricular and not an actual class. I can change it if necessary) She hopes that this new opportunity will help her to fit in more and for her to gain more friends.
Personality: Hikari is a sweet, kind, and caring person. She never hesitates to help anyone in need. She is determined, and although she shows a happy, cheerful face to most people, she is often sad and confused. She pushes through everything that is thrown at her, though not without emotional damage. She has accepted that not everyone will accept her being the halfblood that she is. However, the remarks about her ancestry from present and past commentators still hurts her, and she is still afraid of being rejected or scorned. To hide her fear, she pretends to have no care in the world.
Pet: A pure black cat with yellow eyes named Yami, which is Japanese for ‘Dark’.
Position: Professor of Astronomy
Other: She wishes that she could play Quidditch, though she has never done so because she was afraid that people would attack her and say her wings were an unfair advantage.

History: Katherine was born into a wealthy pureblood family. Both her parents are former Death Eaters, though not many knew about that. Her family was never really associated with Voldermort. They were kind of like Peter Pettigrew; they helped without being recognized by the public. Any person that might have known for sure that they were a Death Eater would have been killed by either one of Katherine’s parents. After Voldermort’s death, her parents pretended like they had nothing to do with Voldermort, and the only reason that they had all been in Slytherin was because of their wealth and Pureblood status. It’s not like they had a choice. It was either change or be caught and thrown into prison, and they didn’t want to be thrown into Azkaban. Katherine was raised with some Death Eater influence, but she realized after a while that it didn’t matter.
She graduated from Hogwarts last year. However, after Professor Aries had to take sudden leave, the Herbology class was in need of a teacher. The headmaster had immediately suggested the spot to the couple of Rein Violet and herself, and they immediately took the spot, despite their age. They were exceptionally gifteed in Herbology and needed a job, so it was logical.
Personality: She was originally cold towards everyone but Slytherins, believing that only Purebloods wre deemed worthy of being talked to, and only those who were in Slytherin mattered. However, she eventually learned that being Slytherin really didn’t matter, and who her friends were who she wanted them to be. She slowly became more caring and kind, and eventually associated with everyone, not just Slytherins.

History: Isabella or Bella was born to two parents who were both Death Eaters. However, from birth, she had never had a bad bone in her body. At first her parents thought it was just a phase and they let it go. However, as she began growing older and more caring, they begun to worry and started pushing her towards their ways. She struggled and refused, and that was when they began isolating her. It slowly escalated towards abuse, and they tried their hardest to turn her. In reaction, she began being a lot quieter and locking in her emotions and her personality, just refusing to react.
Personality: Bella often shows a quiet, uncaring demeanor to people she doesn’t know. However, that’s begun to change as she’s gone to Hogwarts. Mainly, James has been the one to break her uncaring façade. She is quite the caring person and she loves to help people and loves to just talk and have fun.

History: Nathaniel was born to a wizard father and muggle mother. However, Nathaniel’s father had never told his mother that he knew magic and was able to use it. He felt that he would have lost her love if he had, and so he kept it a secret from her from when they met till….Nathaniel’s letter to Hogwarts.
When Nathaniel got his letter, his mother was confused. A school of magic? The idea was absurd. However, Nathaniel’s father soon told her the truth. Devastated, Nathaniel’s mother left them…Nathaniel started off his first year resenting magic and not wanting to go. He hated that it drove his mother away and he quickly became the class clown, joking in class and blowing off classwork.
However, his mother eventually got over the shock and returned to the family four years later…While Nathaniel was hesitant to accept her back into his life, his father was more than happy to bring her back. It took him a while to get used to her again, but he soon did and eventually began caring about his schoolwork again.
During his sixth year, Nathaniel finally got the courage to ask out the person that he had a crush on for forever, Angel Yelsah. They’ve been going strong ever since.
Now that he has graduated from Hogwarts he is looking for a job and hopes to be able to intern as a student professor. He is now a student teacher for Daniel Blackthorn, the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor.
Personality: Nathaniel’s a joker still but he will settle down when he needs to.
He’s kind and caring to everyone he cares about and he loves to flirt with the one he loves.

History: Alexander never knew his mother and would grow to resent his father in the future. His mother died giving birth to him and his father, devastated, blamed his son for her death. However, he never took out his frustrations in a physical way, but rather an emotional way. He would always shun his son and just ignore him, providing for only the basic necessities to survive. Alexander soon began to resent himself and believed that he should have been the one to have died in order to save the mother he never knew, but at the same time he believed that he should also live life to its fullest in order to make her proud.
Since his father really didn’t care where he attended school, Alexander was sent to a small private wizarding school in the Ukraine near where they lived. He attended for five years until the summer before his sixth year.
Alexander turned seventeen in the spring during his fifth year. However, when he returned home for the summer at the end of term, he found his father outside with all of Alexander’s belongings packed away in a few trunks. It was then that his father told him that he wasn’t to come back anymore. Since the legal wizarding age to become an adult was seventeen, Alexander left and never looked back. He arranged for himself to attend Hogwarts through discussions with the headmaster, then began to try to find work so that he could survive on his own. It was hard. The age that he had started school was a year later then Hogwarts, so consequently, he was far behind in his classes and knowledge. Within a few weeks, he was behind payments in a tiny apartment and struggling to make ends meet. He was walking down a street, heading for an interview with a local photographer, camera in hand and his portfolio in the other before he saw a woman with angel wings run down the drive of a condo. He didn’t hesitate and took the shot, only realizing after the fact that he had something that could get him out of the current predicament he was in. As much as he hated what he did, he needed it and so he sold the pictures to the tabloids and got rich quick from the picture, or at least as rich as a seventeen year old thought was well off. Ready to go, he couldn’t wait to start his first year at Hogwarts…
Personality: Despite what he’s been through, Alexander is a charismatic person with a lot of charm. He loves talking to people, though he never really talks to people about his own private life as if he’s scared to share that part of him, afraid people would shun him. He’s highly intelligent despite being behind a year, and he strives to make sure that his academics don’t falter during his transition into the new school.
Pet: A pure white owl named Eria.
