((The world itself is called Gaia, and there will be different places from the FF world that will appear here and many made up. We'll try to keep this simple for now, and allow the RP places to grow biggrin )) [[Keep in mind that this is just a beta RP to see what goes on, but all of you are more than welcomed to join!]]
Avalone Chapter:
The nation of Avalone... the city of Magic and Arts, home to many mages, Bards and Sorcerers. The kingdom is well balanced in the fighting arts as well. The ruler of Avalone kingdom is His Royal Highness, Ignis Valorinth, a blood descendant of the previous Sages that ruled before him. Also the nation which carries one of the powerful crystals (Water) of the four Nations in the Tressia continent . The city is quite the sight; the streets are bustling with magic-wielding citizens, Bards telling tales of heroics and students walking toward their academies/schools for a new day of learning. Most of the kingdom of Avalone is fortified with soft stone-- Marble of different shades of colors, but Avalone Castle is what makes the kingdom stand out! The whole castle is completely pure white marble! From the interior and out!
Hidden inside the deepest corridors of the castle lies the Water crystal, guarded by not only the most loyal knights, but even by the Merfolk whom are rarely seen...
Currently, the king and queen are setting up a wedding/crowning ceremony for Princess Aurora and Prince Stephan II. Many crowds form around the castle entrance, where the Ceremony will be held in less than three hours!

The streets were filled with people as they gathered around a huge decorated stage for the crowning ceremony and wedding of Aurora and Stephan.
"Seems to be pretty full today... Plenty of festivities as well." A woman dressed in mostly red was strolling by as crowds gathered. She didn't seem all that interested in royal weddings.
"The magic shoppes should be open still...I should buy some supplies." The woman headed towards a row of merchants and buildings where all goods were sold. She would have a better time looking for something interesting there than watching the boring ceremony/wedding.

Three hours have passed rather quickly... The ceremony now began, and the whole city fell silent as an old Sage spoke to the people: "Greetings, Citizens of Avalon! We are here to not only celebrate Her Majesty's coming of age, but to bring you a new Queen! Our beloved Princess Aurora will soon be betrothed to Prince Stephan from our neighboring country of Ceylan!"The Sage continued to speak until a knight had quickly stepped in and whispered into the Sage's ear. The old man gasped and flailed. He ran toward the king and queen to relay the message...their expressions were twice the amount of emotion shown compared to the sage and knight. The other two scattered while the Queen quickly stepped up to the podium and began to talk in a rather nervous tone. Her countenance was a mixture of anxiety and despair, "A-ah, dear citizens of Avalon...We are currently having a bit of difficulties with the-- ah- ceremony! I-in the mean time...Let the festivities begin...!!..." The inhabitants were rather confused, many whispering and questioning the 'technical difficulties' they are having... But all of their confusing and curiosity was dispelled as clowns, minstrels, performers and dancers burst out of a small airship above the stage! Confetti was everywhere, and everyone was in awe to see how spectacular the entertainment was. "How odd...I wonder what the Queen was so stressed about..." The woman strode through the alleyways, passed a few guards talking to their general. She overheard the general of the group say, "Look for her! She couldn't of gone far! If we can't find the princess, then our heads will be on silver platters tonight! MOVE!!" The soldiers scattered about and began their mission. "...What? The princess has fled her ceremony? How peculiar... This should be interesting. How much would they pay for the return of the princess...?" Should she go directly to the king and bring her back to them, a certain hefty amount of gil will be rewarded to her. "Wonderful...! Time to search for a spoiled brat." So the woman began her search for the princess.... [BGM: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZtuPeUVciM ] [Music to go with the atmosphere...]

The citizens caught up to the news that spread, "The princess is missing?!" "Where could she be??" "Was she kidnapped? Maybe some bandits have her for ransom!" Some citizens attempted to look for her, others did so-- but for their own benefit...
"Mmgh... What a pain." The red musketeer-like woman pushed through swarms of crowd and preformers. She found an unused latter leaning against a building and quickly made her way toward it. Once she reached ir, she began to climb up the wooden latter and survey the area through the rooftops, "Now...what would a princess look like? Fancy outfit no doubt..." But little did the woman know that the Princess was in her very vicinity...

For whatever reason the Princess chose to leave, all of you have plenty of options...
Some of you may wish to help the princess and ask why she wishes to escape the city. Maybe you're interested in a ransom that could pay a pretty gil. Or maybe you want to try your luck at wining her heart? Perhaps you don't really care for her and simply wish to deliver her back to the King and Queen, returning to normal life...

Alida, named for how she was born to her mother, with little wings sprouted from her back, was currently running along the rooftops, trying to spot the princess among the crowd. As the princess's personal guard, Alida knew of Aurora's plan to leave; she even helped organize it all. What she didn't prepare for, however, was for Aurora not to be at the rendezvous point outside of the city proper. Now, thinking she was already caught by some thief interested in the king's money, Alida was worried for her safety. Spotting a troop of guards, she jumped down from the roofs, turned into an Eagle, and swooped down to land on the floor next to the general. Of course, her shifting went wrong, and instead of a nice landing, she stumbled and rolled beak over talons. She shifted back into her Elven self and dusted off. "Any word of her, General?," she said breathlessly.

Aurora disguised herself using a white mage uniform, which was nothing more than a simple coat with a pointed hood and its signature red triangular shaped icons on the edges. No one would recognize her...so she hoped.
It was the second to the last day of the festival- tomorrow, they would be wed but this was not her priority right now. Within her pockets, she held an opal-hued fragment that looked no different than an ordinary gem piece, yet to the Princess, it meant more than her life.
The Princess slipped within the Silver Platine Shop, where she would begin to buy everything she needed for a long trip...

The musketeer-like woman pushed through the crowds, still searching for the lost princess. Some guards passed by and whispered to each other, "I heard she's around the business district. We'd have to search through all the shops..." The other guard, who was mildly tired of running around, heaved and sighed. "Of all days... Why is she playing run-away princess tonight?!"
Snow grinned as her keen ears picked up their conversation. "A lead? Wonderful. To the Business District it is~"
[Business District is where all the shops, stalls and markets are. Vendors will usually be scattered all over, but they are normally closed during special occasions-- shops, however, are not!]
The same guards pass on the message to the general and Alida as soon as they reach their spot. "Business District, sir! The Princess is said to be hiding somewhere within!"
