Personality: Anastasiya often seems very detached, occassionally prone to small bouts of anger. She isn't very smart, and tends to get very easliy frustrated with intellectual and even everyday problems. Her personality is very unstable, and she often experiences wild moodswings.
She tends to find most everyday tasks difficult and frustrating, and her mind wanders, as she was diagnosed with ADD as a young child and was told to expect other signs of mental illness.
Background: Born in Germany to a Russian mother and German father, Anastasiya grew up in a rather unstable environment. They moved to Brisbane, Australia when she was only two, and quickly moved into a one bedroom apartment in a bad part of the neighbourhood. While her father wanted to move somewhere nicer and safer for Anastasiya, her mother, Svet, enjoyed the danger of the area. Her mother's mental health quickly went downhill when she started to quickly become frustrated detached, often confused, and would often wander off in the middle of the night. Anastasiya's father soon had to check his wife into a mental institution, and soon became depressed. When Anastasiya was nine her father remarried and pulled her out of public school, instead enrolling her in a permanent illegal and highly prestigous boarding school. He never visited his daughter for the eight years she was there. The only contact Anastasiya got was a letter when she was thirteen from his new wife, informing her of the fact that they'd had a son. She was also diagnosed with ADD by a school psychiatrist and was warned about developing further mental illness.
She generally had an uneventful school life and at age fifteen she decided to go to University as an Art major, as she'd developed an interest in photography. However, when she was seventeen she began to feel detached and develop wild moodswings. She was never very smart, but she never really noticed, and it soon started to frustrate her to no end and she began finding the simplest of everyday tasks difficult.
That was when she dropped her application for university and instead started staying at home, taking up a job at a local library. She still continued to collect photographic equipment, but never used any of it, because she was never happy with her photographs, feeling they felt 'empty' and 'soulless'.
She severed all ties with friends and relationships when she was nineteen, and has still never met her brother.
