First off, I'm looking for a job, but guess what; no body is hiring. I applied at McDs twice and the game place like 5 times, the grocery store twice, etc. Then people ask me if I have a job and when I tell them that I don't have one, all they can say is that I need to get a job. I KNOW THAT!! Why do you think I'm looking for one? People act like I'm not even looking. Oh, and the stuff they tell you about employers wanting to see your grades and attendance at school; it's a lie. All the dang employers want to know is if you have any work experience. scream
Then everyone acts like it's terrible that I'm not going to college. Well, I hate to tell them but I can afford to go to college! I can't even get a dang mimimum wage job let alone get into a college! Well, then they say student aid and you don't have to pay untill after college. Yes, but even if I did go to college and got a degree in something, doesn't mean I'll get a job for that field.
I'm sick of always having to make friends in real life. I'm anti-social so it's hard for me to talk to people at first. By the time we are hanging out and making jokes it's not awkward anymore. Then, just as I'm comfortable with my little group of friends, they seemly disappear. After all the time I invested, after all those years we hung out together, I'm back at square one. I feel like it was all just wasted time.

I can totally understand what you are going though. However have you thought about doing community college... you know... just for basics. If you go to a community college it is alot cheaper and alot of the time they will get you a job on campus so you wont have to balance work ad school schedules, they do it for you.
as for just getting a job, I don't know if you do these things every time or not, but sometimes simple things are what gets you the job... things like
dressing up. even if it is for mcdonalds or the game place... at minimum wear something that you would go to sunday morning church in. guys, khaki pants that are ironed and free of wrinkles, and a button down shirt, girls, nice dress slacks or skirt and a conservative button down or sweater shirt. Hair should be neat, pulled back; clean fingernails; minimal makeup; no piercings on the face.
always say yes mam/sir ; no mam/sir. be polite.
be on time
have a copy of your resume (if you dont have a resume at least have an extra copy of a way to contact you and a list of references)
Know what you have to do for the job and commit to doing it before you walk into the door.
have an "I can do that" attitude.
just a few simple things, it may sound like a lot, but the biggest part is looking the part and being nice to who is interviewing you.
