I propose the first guild contest too, but to start sometime after we get more members.

Something to do with Kyou related goodies or art. We'll have to pick a specific medium, say winamp skins, wallpaper, fanart, lj icons, or what have you, but some kind of artsy contest or something. 3nodding

thats great! i was only using tha as a temp till i could make a new one. but this ones so great its gotta stay. as for the contest if ya look at the events page there will be one on valentines day. i love the art comp idea too though. but at the mo im still pretty broke from buy the guild. and seeing as we cant access the guild funds i'll have to use all my gold to do my surprise for all of ya.

so if ya wana donate then please do it to me so i can get you each the item i want. ps mods if ya wana know what it is pm me or something. 3nodding

I think that there should also be an activity policy. Pretty much how it would work would be that if those who don't post at all in the guild get banned after a warning through a pm and a weeks time. I think this works well because you wouldn't have a whole lot of members that don't contribute to the guild. 3nodding

As for the rest of the rules...they're fine by me.

Actually, I find this to be problematic. I mean, what if someone's on a really long vacation or has something else actually more important than Gaia to address for the time being, but they come back later only to find they've been banned? It's kind of retarded for them to have to come begging to come back in. Something like that works fine for an RP where things have to keep going, but if you're in a guild or a club, they should welcome you back whenever.

In the case of it being someone participating in the guild RP though, they should be removed from the RP after a time just because it'll be holding up everyone else. But the guild as a whole is a club of Kyou lovers. They don't have to participate in anything to love Kyou or flaunt that they love Kyou. They just won't reap the rewards of when we have a contest.

Bannination is probably *PERMANENT* and thus shouldn't be used so easily on a whim just because someone hasn't signed on in awhile. It's childish to abuse such powers so easily. Often times when I go home for the holidays or vacations I find that I tend to stray away from Gaia for longer periods of time because I am home doing other things. This doesn't mean I won't be back later or that my devotion to Kyou has faltered.

Um, even *THAT* is messed up. People can be gone for longer periods of time and banning is *PERMANENT* and using it so lightly is seriously an abuse in power. How would you like it if the mods banned you from the entirety of Gaia just because you went on vacation and they wanted to clean out their databases?

i know but thats not what im trying to say. i typed it as i was leaving so i didnt put it all. what i mean is that i see if they've been online for a long time (eg for a month) and posting but have just been ignoring the guild. if so then i send them a pm saying that they are at risk of losing their membership if they dont become more active, even if its just to post once every week. if they havnt been online in a long time then it could be from getting grounded or exams so i take no action. im not trying to get them to be active all the time its just they'll miss out if they ignore it.

i know but the thing is it is going to be a rp guild. once i get most of the places filled its going to be mainly rp. thats why i've incorporated this rule so people can get used to it from the start. its only be open a few days and ive been busy with gcse revision but i'm getting as many of my fruruba friends to join so we can started as soon as possible. ive haven't put it in the rp guild section because theres still going to be other things too but mainly the rp. anyway thats why ive added this rule from the start so when we get more rps going it doesn't come as a shock to members.
