Jessica sat at the Ravenclaw table eating her favorite foods. She was so glad to be back at Hogwarts. Yes she loved being home, but she had lots of friends here and it was also a chance to get away from the all seeing eyes of her parents. Not that she ever really did anything bad, but here it just felt like she was her own person and she couldn't wait to get started in her second year of Prefect duties. She clapped loudly for all of the new Ravenclaw's and now sat explaining everything to a few of them that were close to her. Her brother Andy on her right was eating mashed potatoes and looking over at the Hufflepuff table. She followed his gaze to see that he was looking at Kathryn Yelsah and couldn't help but laugh. She had heard that John Yelsah had adopted the girl over the summer and that would explain why she was looking much more put together than she normally did. "Entangling yourself with her will only mean entangling yourself with Professor Yelsah Andy." She warned laughing. The 1st years she was talking too looked over at Kathryn also before looking back at Jessica confused. "My brother has liked that blond in Hufflepuff for a long time but is too chicken to even talk to her. Now he thinks he's going to be able to this year but one of his least favorite teachers is now her father."

"Shut up Jess, Yelsah doesn't scare me." Andy shot a glare at his sister as he stabbed a piece of steak. "Sure I'm not going to go pushing all of his buttons like Wixom's brother, but I can handle it. Besides, it could be just a rumor. Kat may have just scared the people at the orphanage into treating her better some how."

As soon as Kathryn looked over at the Ravenclaw table Andy snapped his head down. He didn't want Kathryn to know he always spied on her. He would have to figure out a way to tell her he liked her without being creepy. His sister was right though. He would never admit it out loud but Professor Johnathan Yelsah scared the crap out of him. If Kathryn Anderson was now Kathryn Yelsah it would be so much harder to even approach her because of his fear of her father. Yes he couldn't do much as a teacher, but if Andy suddenly went after his daughter there was no telling how the man would react. He might be slightly blind but he was the smartest person Andy had met. He had heard about Emily and him debating while he was in disguise Emily's last year and Emily holding her own very well, but rumors flew all over the school and many of them were only rumors. Emily was smart but she was a scatter brain. "Trust me Jess, I'm going to talk to Kathryn this year. I'll then get up the nerve to tell her I like her and we can go from there."

"Oh that will be the day Andy." Jessica couldn't help but stifle a laugh. "I dare you to speak to her tomorrow in class. Heck, talk to her in Transfiguration." Jessica laughed as she watched all the color drain out of her brothers' face. He was so smart in school work, but with how timid and withdrawn he was Jessica couldn't help but wish he really would get out and talk to a few more people. And for him to be afraid of tiny little Kathryn was funny. She knew Kathryn slightly, and knew that that girl was even more timid and shy than Andy was. Kathryn was scared of just about everything and Andy couldn't get up the nerve to even talk to her. That made Jessica laugh which got her a dirty look from Andy.

When Bella entered the Great Hall James smiled. She looked perfectly fine and unscathed from her adventures and was glad to see her happy. He knew that this might just be an act because Bella was very good at pretending things didn't bother her, but for now he would just ignore it and welcome her. "Hey Bella, what have you been up to? I hope you enjoyed staying at my place for at least a little this summer. I know it was crowded but we had fun right?"

Chasity walked into the great hall.She loved being back here and now she returned as the head of house for Slytherin.Conan thought that since he wasn't around so much he decided to pass the position on.She took it gleefully.As she walked down the middle to the staff table she looked at the Slytherin table.She still couldn't believe she was their Head of House.

Max walked into the Great Hall.He was back and he was ready.Not only for the class he will be teaching but because he was also ready for the girls.A guy like him never loses his flirtatious side so he smiled at all the girls and walked to his seat at the head of the Great Hall.Taking his seat he looked to the side, checking out the girls on the line.

Rein walked in rather annoyed.He's of a higher authority and Dez still figured out ways to get under his skin.But as he looked up at the front of the house he saw Kat and smiled.He walked a little faster now and took his seat next to her since they were teaching the same class."Missed you,"Rein told Kat as he kissed her on her cheek and sat down, hungry and tired.

Dez just skipped a little as she followed behind her brother.She loved making trouble to him and it obviously showed on his face that she did it again.But as they entered her skip sort of stopped.She remember why she'd been dreading this time here.She didn't really know anyone her age since she always spent time with the year above her.So she sat at the Slytherin Table and looked at the people around her.Who was she going to talk to this year?

John stepped into the Great Hall with his head held high, and a really horrible headache. His eye was being a pain, going on and off with his sight. So for safety precausions, he kept his eye patch on for the rest of the summer. Dressed in a black suit and a new black cloak--Angel and Kathryn's gift to him for the new school year--he headed to his seat at the staff table, right next to Hikari. He smiled down at her, placing a hand on a small part of her back and took a seat. "Missed you, love," he whispered into her ear, reaching under the table to take her hand. He gaze it a small squeeze. However, what he didn't notice was that besides his headache, his eagerness was still on a high scale. At that moment Angel came into the Great Hall surrounded by a bunch of her dorm mates. He looked over at her, for the support. She gaze him a thumbs up and mouthed a 'good luck' his way. That was exactly what he needed. Lots of luck. After what had happened in the summer, John wanted to get this right and more importantly perfect.



There was no doubt about it that Angel was ready for this year. She had friends, Kathryn as a family relative, her cousin as happy as can be, Hikari who was going to get a surprise, and lastly, her boyfriend Nathaniel. She was down for what would be tossed at her this year. Whether it be another horrible death vision or something less dangerous. With her head held high, Angel took a seat at the Hufflepuff table where Nathaniel had saved her spot and kissed his cheek lovingly. "Hey, gorgeous," she flirted, ruffling his hair. Her gaze them went over to the Ravenclaw table, where the Gunn siblings and some of the other Ravenclaws were looking at her niece. With a sigh, Angel stood up. "Excuse me," she muttered then got up and walked over to Kathryn. She placed a hand on her niece's shoulder, but brought her attention to any one and every one that was staring. "Hey, stalkers! If you got some staring problem against my niece here, you're going to have to go through me! So look away now!" she threatened then turned her attention to her neice. "Come sit with Nathaniel and me, yeah?" whispered she, leading Kathryn to where they were sitting.

When Angel took her seat beside Nathaniel, she looked over at Kathryn with a proud smile. Ever since she got home from spending the rest of the summer with her and John's family, Kathryn had been more and more confident in herself which then made her more and more social, especially around anyone older than she. Angel was so proud of her neice. She had gone so far since the adoption. Taking Nathaniel's hand from under the table, Angel took up her goblet with her free hand and sipped the pumpkin juice. "All right, you have to fill me in. We could have done this earlier but your father was so busy dragging us places to find you-know-what," She lifted up her left hand and wiggled her ring finger then put it down, "for the rest of the summer. Anyway. What did you think of the rest of the family when you went to live with Grandma Serria? I know, I know, we're a big family, but you'll learn to adjust and remember at least eighty-five percent of their names." Angel giggled, giving almost all of her attention to her niece. Almost all because a part of her that was equivalent to the attention span she gave to Kathryn was keeping its attention on her boyfriend.

"Nah it's alright, she's just being herself,"Rein told Kat as piled some food onto his plate and started to eat.It wasn's that bad it was just that Dez kept asking when they were gonna get married, when she was gonna be given a niece or nephew and how many she was gonna get.

Dez looked down towards the newbies that joined the table.As she spotted one girl her eyes narrowed?She looked like she wanted to start something and Dez looked amused.A first year wanted to start something with her?Oh dear that would be quite interesting if something actually happened.So Dez went back to her food and started to eat.
