What used to be a populated city, now rests a ghost town with trashed and damaged buildings. Cars lay upside-down or totally destroyed, cluttering the streets.

Inferno Crashed through the window of the building as he and the crature made contact. His grapple popped off of the creature from the impact and He stabbed the creature right through what seemed to be its heart. After a loud screech and twitching, the creature froze and becam limp. He looked out the window to find himself on the 4th floor.
"Hmph, guess I need to use the stairs this time." He turned around and saw what used to be a busy office, but is now what seemed to be the remains of a crime scene mixed with charred debris. He found the stairs and quickly ran down as far as they would go. He then found the nearest window and jumped out of it.
"Ken and Zeke must still be outside. I've got to find that damned gate." He looked all around and saw that the gate was on the opposite side he came in from. Without hesitation, he quickly made his way there. The faint sound of gunfire caught him off guard as he made it to the gate, and he turned to see what it was. The sound then faded away and was no longer audible.
He looked up to the gate which most resembled that of what you'de see on a castle. There was a large metal bar that latched the door in place. He quickly unlatched it and slowely forced the huge door open. You could hear its low-pitched groan as it opened, probably from a mile away, he thought.

"Great timing! Shut the door right behind us, if you wouldn't mind!" There was a sound of screeching for a second, followed by a strong yelp, then silence. It masked the sound of the creature's head being cut off, and then both head and body, in half. Zeke turned to see it briefly, and replied accordingly. "Badass." He snapped out of it, turned and ran the rest of the way in. Ken followed.

The gate slammed shut and Inferno latched it back up. He signaled for Ken and Zeke to follow and quickly walked over to where he believed he heard the gunfire.
"I heard something over here somewhere. There's someone else here other than us. We need to find them quickly, they may be in need of help."
With that, he walked over to the building and kicked the door in. The sight of the flipped cars and flames all around him didn't exactly give him much hope in finding anything, let alone the swarm of creatures that were flying above them. As he shut the door behind them, he looked around to see if he could find any clues.

"The first thing we need to do," Zeke started "is take care of this person right here." He turned to Ken. "I thought this was a different side of the same person, but I see now that this is a different person. Why don't you go ahead and introduce yourself?" He pulled out what seemed to be a handgun and pointed it straight at Ken's head. "I'm crap, but at this range, I can't miss."
"The name is Beni." One quick motion and the gun had been sliced into two pieces, revealing its plastic parts. It leaked water all over the ground. "Clever b*****d." He laughed. "As I was saying, the name is Beni. Beni Ouji."
Zeke felt a strong piercing feeling in his stomach as Beni introduced himself. Not just his actions, but his name, too. "Beni...is Crimson, or Blood...And Ouji...is Prince...So then, you're the Crimson Prince?" The feeling of having a sword in his stomach only grew stronger until he fell to his knees.
"Crimson Prince? No wonder...It is quite a suitable name, given my past actions..."
The feeling in Zeke's stomach halted, and he returned to normal, almost limp, and still on his knees. "Wow" he whispered.

Inferno's serious face became that of a smile. It was quite some time since he saw Beni again. He laughed at Zeke's reactions and the camoflaged water gun.
"Ah, long time no see. It seems I forgot to tell you about Beni here. Just watch yourself around him, Zeke, you'll never know when he'll wind up sticking that sword of his in your back."
Inferno's words were simply meant to scare Zeke a little. It wasn't every day he got to see someone act like Zeke did.

Zeke had a confused look on his face when Inferno reacted to the situation by laughing. When Beni introduced himself, Zeke had an immense shortness of breath, and all he did was stare him directly in the eyes. He sensed some sort of evil about Beni when he did so. Something about him, though, was very sorrowful beneath it. Maybe Inferno couldn't see it because he'd been trained to ignore his nature. Also, maybe it was because his skill was at a level where Beni was no threat. Silently, Zeke tried to figure the situation out. Beni was a Demon, and Ken, his sword, possessed some alternate being that acted as his conscience? A regulator? Viable, he thought, but far from perfect.
"While we are explaining things, Why not tell us what that flash of light was that I saw? It was round, like a ball, only it had been cut off. And how you just stopped that creature in its tracks? In mid-air? Then threw it to the ground without touching it?" He had a somewhat serious face, but it wasn't meant to be anything more than interrogative.
He was puzzled, but then remembered the encounter. "Yes, it's a little piece of technology designed by yours truly. In this glove holds much power. The round 'gem' in the middle here directs some form of energy outward in a shield-like shape. It's somewhere between light and magnetism, something about throwing electrons outward in that shape. They probably bump into each other and get excited, producing light--something like that." A product of his own design, and he couldn't even explain how it worked, just that it did. "It takes a lot of battery power, and it's very fragile. One small error in any of the tiny hundreds of parts, and it stops working and needs to be fixed. And that happens quite often."
"So that explains how it stopped...Then you moved your hand to redirect your 'shield' and used his own momentum to make him crash...interesting. It is also perhaps a little bit smart." He watched a shy smile run across Zeke's face. Obviously, he wasn't used to compliment.

In the midst of the conversation, Inferno again heard gunfire, only a bit louder and much more consistant. He quickly turned in its direction and ran towards it. It grew louder each moment, and he could hear that there was something else in the mix... something like rattling bones. He found himself going through doors, toppled chairs, and turned tables.
On the ground floor, or what litterally seemed like it, there was a room with a large hole in the floor. He could see flashes of light and the sounds were now louder than ever. As he went over to look, He saw a blonde-haired girl dressed in what looked like a pearl-colored dress. She carried two submachine guns, one in each hand, and wore a strange necklace around her neck.
She was in the middle of fighting a bunch of wraith-like creatures. Every now and then she'd turn and kick one into another and lay down a stream of bullets into them. Suddenly, she dropped them both and pulled out two swords from her belt. They shined brightly as she whirled and dashed, slicing at the wraiths with admirable speed.
Inferno could not help but watch her. For a moment he moved to the edge of the hole as if to jump down and join the fight, but something told him it was not yet time. When he looked back at her, she was slightly levetated as she crossed her arms on her chest. The necklace she was wearing started to glow and Inferno could not see. When it dimmed back down, the wraiths were burning a bright blue and fell to the ground. Their bodies desintigrated and their robes turned to ash.

Beni had crept up behind Inferno while he was intently watching the fight. He saw a lot of it, himself, and simply stared while slowly and quietly muttering "Awesome." He was speechless and generally stunned by the performance. He payed no further attention to the ignored Zeke.

It was then Inferno jumped down and caught her attention before she could do anything further. He put his handgun away turned his palms up to show he was no threat.
"Don't be alarmed, I'm no threat. I am special operative Inferno Caldwick, I came here looking for survivors and possible supplies."
The girl lowered her swords and stood upright. "Survivors? Hmph, guess I'm not the only one doing that."
Inferno lowered his hands. "I heard gunfire while I was outside. Was that you I was hearing?"
"Could be... but then again it could have been someone else. I'm Aroura, I've been all over this place looking for people, though it seems all I've found today were wraiths, demons, and now you."

"Yes, ma'am, and us, too." Zeke spoke. He turned to the left to see that Beni was still in a trance. The only thing he did aside from breathing was mumble "So...hot..." Zeke watched him as he did, thinking aloud "What a hopeless case." He showed his hands, that there was nothing in them, then jumped down, showing again, closer. Of course, for Zeke, the gloves he was wearing was a bit of a threat, but on the other hand it was defensive only. He glanced up at Beni, asking, "You coming, or just gawking?"

Aroura was surprised to see there was more than just Inferno. She put her swords away and stepped closer to them. She did, however, ignore the one's gawking and spoke softly as she explained herself.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, but at the same time, I feel disheartened. Here you are standing before me, and I can only think of the many others that might still be alive that I cant get to."
"That was quite a performance you made. I take it you've been here a long while fighting those things."
"I have, just this time, I fought wraiths. I've never encountered such things before. Its hard to find out what kills these things." She paused and looked into Inferno's eyes closely. "You don't believe in magic?"
Inferno was caught off guard by the comment. How could she tell something like that just from looking at him?

Beni snapped out of his stupidity when hearing the word 'magic.' Someone so learned about it couldn't help but to join the conversation. He jumped down to talk, no longer to gawk. "I believe in it. I'm quite knowledgeable about the subject, such as how most would misspell 'magick,' omitting the 'K' at the end. Forgive me, my name is Beni." Zeke watched, rolling his eyes at Beni, then shaking his head and looking the other way.

"I see... yes, normally its spelled with a 'K'." She turned her attention back at Inferno. "How can you deny magick? you've seen it just now before your very eyes."
Inferno was a bit confused at what she was saying. "You mean to tell me you used magic to kill those things? I thought I was just being blinded momentarily by the glare your necklace was giving me. Didn't you just throw an incendiary grenade? I saw you using those sub-machine guns."
Aroura couldn't believe what she was hearing. She noticed the wound Inferno had on his chest from the creatures he first faced. "Maybe you just hadn't seen enough." She rose her hand up and placed it on his wound. her palm glowed and concealed sight of the torn flesh she was touching. When she removed her hand, his wound was gone and there was no trace that the attack ever hit him directly. His vest was still scratched, but he was not.
Inferno's mind boggled as he saw the end result. He poked at his vest to see if he would still feel pain where his wound was. There was none. "I do not understand."

"Of course not. Trained assassins and engineers--technology all around--you lose touch with nature that way. No offense to you, Zeke. Nature is nothing less than magick, and magick is nothing less than nature. Man acts as a dog saying what is or isn't possble, and the others act as sheep when listening mindlessly. No people means nobody to ridicule you for thinking what you will. I avoid people when I can, so my mind is free to think as well." There might or might not have been some information that was held back when he spoke. He wouldn't let on.
