~Adam Wilson and Richard Sanders~
Adam and Richard walked into the shop quietly talking and immediately made their way to the sugar quills. Classes seemed so much longer to both of them, Adam because he was being drilled for his OWL's and it was his first year as Prefect, and Richard because he was being drilled for his NEWTs and he was Head Boy. Pulling out their money pouches both boys loaded up on sugar in all varieties to keep them going.

 Scarlett Eaves Scarlett walked into Honeydukes and inhaled the fragrance of the oodles of candy in the shop. She made a beeline towards the part of the shop that held all the chocolate, her favorite type of sweet. She breathed in the aroma of cocoa and instantly felt in a state of pure bliss. Love can't top this, Scarlett thought, remembering the old addage about how eating chocolate mimics the feeling of falling in love. She grabbed many bars, both of milk chocolate and dark chocolate, and then made her way to where the other sweets were and grabbed a dozen sugar quills, a handful of Drooble's Best Blowing Gum, along with various random sweets she came across. She opened up her money pouch and saw she had enough to pay for the sweets and grab a butterbeer at the Three Broomsticks, so she paid for her lot and left the shop, munching on a chocolate bar as she went.

{ johnathan ● α α я σ и ● yelsah }  Outside Honeydukes, John stood and observed the area. Dressed in dark robes that he usually wore during his time as an Auror, he suddenly felt the nostaligic feeling of his old job. It was technically still his job since he was told to watch after the school while he taught, but it just didn't feel the same from when he had been a full time Auror. Letting out a sigh, John adjusted the eye patch over his left eye. He could not afford to be distracted at this moment. Angel had told him that the attack would happen soon and he had to keep his guard up so that he could easily see any suspicious behaviors. With his senses fully open to his surroundings, he held tight to his wand. It could happen any second. Unfortunately, with Angel no where around, he could only take in what she had told him. And sometimes that wasn't even enough.

Mary walked into the shop with a lighter step than she had all week. As soon as she heard that the students would be permitted to leave the grounds today to go to the small village just outside the school most of her bitterness had faded and today it was just a small ray. She saw the Transfiguration teacher and nodded to him politely. She knew they hadn't gotten off on the right foot the first day but she had tried to make it up since Transfiguration was her favorite and best subject. She had managed to get the summer homework and the essay done in time before seeing Professor Hikari for detention and she had spent the past few days in detention with Professor Yelsah but she really didn't feel too much hatred to him. Sure she didn't like him, but she figured that as long as she didn't piss him off anymore she was good.

Kathryn walked into the shop right behind Mary. She had kept her distance from the girl the best she could all week but the girl hadn't tried anything with her so that had been made relatively easy. She saw her father and gave him a smile and wave. He looked stressed so it dropped quickly and she just started looking at the candy. No sooner had she picked up a few Delux Sugar Quills than screams were heard outside the shop and the door was blasted open by people in long black robes with their faces covered so it was impossible to tell if they were men or women. Kathryn sat frozen in horror and her scream refused to come.

As the sound of groans filled his ears, John turned to watch his cousin run towards him. Instantly his body tensed as fear flooded through him at the sight of his cousin. She could get hurt. After cursing the two other Death Eaters he was dueling with, he sped over to his cousin, taking her arm. "Angel, get out of here. Find your niece and get out of here!" he nearly ordered.
Angel stood her ground, pulling her arm away. "It's my vision, Kuya! And I'm going to stay and make sure that girl stays alive!" She watched as her cousin took a look around, probably for Kathryn. "I've saved one life before, and I'm going to do it again."
"No! What you're going to do is find Kathryn and get out of here. You want to save a life, save your family member. Leave your vision to me. Now do as I say!" John ordered then ran off, looking for any students. Instead, he found Adam and Richard. "Wilson! Sanders!" he called out, taking those two by the arms. "I want the both of you to help Angel. Take all students out of here and bring them to the Three Broomsticks. If I see either you dueling a Death Eater and disobeying my orders, I will make sure your titles of Prefect and Head Boy are taken away. Understood? Now move!" he ordered then ran off to find Mary Lou.
Rushing through row after row, Angel looked around hastily for Kathryn. Soon enough, she found her frightened figure and rushed over towards her. Only to be blocked off by a large hooded figure who was coming towards Kathryn. "Stay away from her!" she cried out and flicked her wand again, watching as the red sparks flew right at the head. Without a seconds hesitation, Angel sprinted towards Kathryn and picked the tiny girl up into her arms. "Kathryn, it's not the time for you to be frightened!" she cried out over the mayhem. Suddenly, as she was about to exit, Angel saw a flash of light then an image. Turning around quickly, Angel placed Kathryn down. "Pull out your wand and make sure to defend yourself as much as possible. Stay here. I'll be right back," she said then ran off to find John.
Defending himself while attacking his opponent, John kept his senses open for any sign that was of his Slytherin student. As he was putting a shield charm around himself, he heard Angel's voice and was about to blow a casket. But when he turned to face her, she had her wand out with a purple shield around her and her other hand was pointing at the corner of the shop. There was a heavily built figure, towering over a black haired girl. It was Mary Lou. With a nod, John bolted towards the figure, ignoring the pain that was being inflicted on him. With an expert flick of his wand, red sparks flew out of his wand and aimed over at the large figure. Only it didn't do much damage. "Mary Lou, get out of here! Find my cousin and go with them!" he ordered then went on dueling.

Emily got there just as Angel did. She had been about to order the girl to get the Hogwarts students inside to safety and not to fight when 2 death eaters came after her. Her eyes still resembling flaming ice Emily held her own but lost track of Angel. Out of the corner of her eye Emily saw Mary Lou and her heart skipped a beat. She had been right about which student it was and now it was too late. She couldn't let her mind dwell on it though because she was dancing to avoid spells as she alternated between shield charms and offensive spells.
Adam and Richard had just gotten their stuff into their bags when the attack took place. Both boys had immediately pulled out their wands ready to fight when professor Yelsah told them to get the students out and not to fight. Looking at each other both boys put shield charms around themselves and started looking for other Hogwarts students. Both boys wanted desperately to fire hexes at the death eaters but knew it was more important to follow orders.
Kathryn had stood frozen until she heard Angel. When the death eater started coming towards her her scream sounded and when Angel stopped him she allowed her aunt to take her. When she was put back down and told to defend herself Kathryn nodded weakly pulling out her wand as she tried to remember spells she had been taught. Defense had always been her worst class and as she faced these death eaters she made a promise to herself to never skip that class again. She made her way out of the shop but at the door wound up facing a large death eater and had to stop to duel.
Mary Lou had watched this all unfold in shock. Being from America she hadn't learned about the Death eaters and what they did. As one came toward her she found that her wand arm wasn't working. She felt like she had been petrified and she couldn't move.

Lenore made her way into Hogsmeade a bit later than most of the student body with every intention of meeting Otto and Erika at Honeydukes like they had planned. She kept her head down, as usual, and was so lost in her own little world that she didn't even hear the shouting that wasn't in her head until it was far too late. She finally looked up and spotted a Slytherin girl she didn't know, frozen as a Death Eater charged her. Before a conscious thought had crossed her mind she had pulled out her wand and shot a quick nonverbal Stupefy at the Death Eater. Hopefully she would hit her mark, even after such a terrible first week.

Emily had knocked down one death eater and was battling the other. She had been hit by several hexes and was in severe pain right now but only half of her felt it as she continued fighting. She saw Lenore run in and start fighting and her focus lost. "Lenore, do you not have any common sense? Get out of...." Her sentence was cut off as the death eaters Cruciatus curse broke through her shield charm and she shrieked in pain as the Death Eater laughed and taunted about how he had the Deputy Headmistress. Emily fought the pain but found herself completely helpless as white hot knives seared through her body. As soon as the curse was lifted she fell limp to the floor and used all of her energy to look up to see Kathryn Yelsah.
Kathryn had gotten free of the death eater attacking her and had been at the door about to run for the Three Broomsticks when she heard Emily's clear voice shrieking in pain. Spinning on the spot she saw the teenage red head screaming and twitching in terrible pain as the death eater she had been fighting tortured her with an unforgivable curse. For a moment the girl stood terrified torn between getting to safety and helping the woman that had helped and cared for her so much. Biting her lip she sent a stunning spell and watch to her disbelief as the death eater fell to the floor and then Emily herself collapse. Just as she saw the woman look up she ran for the shelter of the Three Broomsticks ecstatic that she had gotten free and been able to help.
Mary Lou had watched the spells bounce off the death eater and when she could see a loop hole she made a run for it only to be sent flying into a shelf and knocking it and all of it's contents to the floor. The girls wand had flown out of her hand and she groaned in pain temporarily and then passed out.
Adam and Ricky had been herding students out and now had everyone they could see except for Lenore, Kathryn, and Mary. Kathryn ran herself after helping the Headmistress, Mary was too involved to get out safely. "Lenore, everyone's been given orders to get out." Adam said as Ricky's eyes fell to the redhead who had crumpled to the floor like a Raggedy Anne doll. "Professor, are you alright?" He helped the woman to her feet and watched her cast a shield charm around herself before firmly ordering him out of the shop. Without protest he left glancing back as he watched the woman weekly struggle to keep fighting.
Daniel had heard the screams and followed the chaos from the post office. He saw Emily get weakly to her feet and came to her side. She refused help as a death eater moved her way and he couldn't argue the point as another moved for him.

"Oh, alright then, I'll just leave you in the middle of a battle then!" Lenore shouted over her shoulder at Adam as she blasted another Death Eater and turned to fight the first one she had knocked over, who had regained consciousness. She was forced to dive to the ground to avoid what clearly might have been an Avada Kedavra, and shot a Befuddlement Hex for him but missed. She tucked and rolled to avoid a Crucio, and then finally got him with Impedimenta, granting herself a moment to catch her breath. She just wasn't in the same shape she had been in before Julian. "Why don't you get out of here if it's such an emergency?!" she added when she had a free moment before magically binding the Death Eater she had just taken down.

Adam glared at Lenore for a moment and shook his head. If he just stood here arguing with her it would just get him in trouble. His shield charm broke and he was sent flying into a shelf of sweets but not with near as much force as Mary Lou had been. Putting his shield charm back up he glanced once more at Lenore and then the weakening Headmistress. He licked his lips as he reminded himself of his orders and forced himself to leave though it killed him to walk away when so many people were getting hurt.

Relief flooded through him when he saw that his daughter was no where in sight. But that relief was limited by the fact that she could also be in danger for not being in his sight. Angel, he noticed, was now helping Mary Lou up. How the girl had been put unconscious would be solved later but right now he was not to be distracted. The sound of multiple pops brougth an even bigger relief to his system when he realized that the Ministry had finally come. Took them long enough really. His mind was brought back to reality when a curse flew right passed his ear, causing him to jump into forcus enough to realize that there had been a dispute between stubborn students. "Lenore! Get out of here and leave this to the staff and the Ministry. If you are still here by the time I look about I will make sure you are never permitted to come to Hogwarts again! This is no time to be stubborn!" he ordered the persistant teenager just as red sparks flew at his right shoulder. He groaned in pain, collapsing forward as his mind began to grow fuzzy.
"Kuya!" Angel cried out from the exit. She had backed away in time to watch as Aurors from the Ministry--one she noticed--barged into the shop and did all they could to gang up the Death Eaters. She then noticed Blackburn and Wixon over to the side and moved to help them when suddenly she felt that helping Mary Lou was the best thing right now. Adjusting the girl's weight on her back, Angel watched as Travis ran inside and went right to her cousin, bringing him back to his senses.
Atticus turned to look at Angel, who was staring right at her. Giving her a nod, he watched as she nodded back and then went to run off towards the Three Broomsticks with the other students. Taking one look over towards Emily, he made quick movements as John stood up and started to help the other Aurors even with blood soaking his robes. "I got her, Daniel. You just help John," he said to Blackburn as soon as he had helped the man push off the Death Eater coming towards him. With one sweep, Atticus had brought Emily up into his arms and quickly made his way out of the shop and hopefully out of harm.

Lenore noted with dulled senses that Adam had left, and felt a small twinge of spite for him. How could he just leave a battle?! She wasn't actually serious when she suggested he leave! Damn! Lenore turned on her heel and cast a shield around the injured Professor Yelsah before turning back into the fray. She felt a hot burn of anger sizzle within her chest at Professor Yelsah's insistence that she go to safety while he and several others were in mortal peril. She wasn't a Gryffindor for nothing, dammit! Tears of anger and spite burning her eyes, she turned to glare at everyone and move toward the Three Broomsticks as another Death Eater charged her. She had no other choice, right? She had to fight the b*****d. However, no matter how good her intentions were, she was still only a sixth year with reduced reaction-time, and soon found herself victim to a well-placed Crucio and crumpled with the pain.

Mary Lou started to regain conciousness and noticed that Angel Yelsah was carrying her. She didn't know who the girl was and she was slightly scared but she knew she was a Hogwarts student and hopefully that meant she was on the good side. Her entire body screamed in pain and she blinked furiously as she tried to bring her thoughts and everything else into focus.

Daniel had watched the redhead beside him weakening and was glad when Atticus showed up and said that he had her. He knew the woman was stubborn and would keep fighting unless forcefully moved. He heard Lenore scream and spun sending a curse at the death eater that dropped the cruciatus curse he had on the Gryffindor girl. "Get to safety Lenore, now. Everyone is in the Three Broomsticks, get there now." He shouted before helping the ministry round up more death eaters.

Since the cruciatus curse had hit her Emily had been weakening and she was having a hard time fighting it. When Atticus showed up she spared him a glance before continuing her fight and knocking the death eater out. Just as she did she felt Atticus' strong arms around her and allowed herself to collapse in them. She felt the urge to fight them but her students were safe and she was weak. Let Atticus think what he wanted of her, let the ministry fire her if they wanted, but she had managed to get her students relatively safe and right now that was all that mattered. If she had to be taken by someone she was glad it was Atticus but she also hated herself for thinking that but refused to fight it all the same.

Lenore, her whole body positively shaking, got up from where she had fallen to the ground and started for the Three Broomsticks, not needing to be told to go again. She hadn't been hit as severely as Wixom, and could still walk on her own at least, but the after-effects of the curse would be setting in soon. She dodged a few more flyaway curses and made it to the pub's safety.
