...so move it, if it needs to be, but we need answers.
My Other-Half (as I would like to call him, because boyfriend is too casual. >_<) went to his grandparent's house to visit this weekend that just passed, and some things happened.
The main thing is that he was going through a box of really old pictures, and he describes the feeling as he was seeing a bunch of things that happened to that person, to the time that person died. And that it felt like he was being taken over, and couldn't come back to reality.
Another thing that happened was, while looking through it, he found his grandma's birth certificate, and he was holding onto his grandpa's arm, and he said that he could feel how his grandpa felt when he grandma died, "like he was inside of his grandpa's mind."
Does anyone know what this could be? He said that he doesn't want to feel any of that again, so are there any ways for him to avoid it, or lessen the impact?

Has this ever happened before now? He could be sensitive to emotion and have some ability to read people after a death occurs(or other extream event). Many people have random psychic abiliities either they appear after something like a death or other traumatizing event or there's just a random insight that goes away after whatever is over
You can learn to block any psychic ability like i typically block my sensitivity to emotions because its so exhausting and can be painful. I did it through meditation and basically learning and exploring my brain. If it doesn't go away like an insight kind of thing then he wont be able to block it completely many psychics dont want to see spirits so they have actually stopped themselves from seeing but often they can still sense and speak to spirits. but you can have him try meditation or even try going to a spiritual advisor or psychic who might be able to help him.

The name for this ability is "psychometry" - being able to get a glimpse into a person's past by touching and "reading" an object they owned. That should at least make searching for information about it a little easier.
