UN Warships
The UN has militarized space to patrol the space lanes between their colonies to destroy pirates and other terrorist groups. Also they use these ships for exploration of the Solar system to a limited degree. This is before a time of laser and plasma weapons, rail guns, and energy shields. The only weapons they have are relatively simple and the only armor are the thick titanium hulls.
Name: Battlestar Class Carrier

Weapons: 100 Machine guns, 40 Small MAC Cannons, Missiles
Description: The Battlestars are the most advanced piece of Human technology ever created. They were precursors of the later Battlestars of the UNSC and share many of the same design elements. The biggest difference is armament. These Battlestars have 40 double barreled Mac Cannons separated into 2 large batteries on each hangar. They fire 12 inch rounds that can either be solid, explosive, or flak. They have a fairly rapid rate of fire for such a large weapon, but their range is limited and are only used in close range or to destroy enemy missiles or fighters. For long range combat they use missiles and nuclear warheads. Being as the Battlestars are new there are currently only 3 in service.
Name: Arrow Class Cruiser

Weapons: 20 Machine Guns, Missiles, 1 Large MAC Cannon
Description: Arrow Class Cruisers are powerful warships, especially with their large MAC on their bow that can easily smash large holes into ships. Not many Arrow's have been built yet because although they are very strong ships they are a bit overkill for dealing with pirates and terrorists, still the UN keeps a decent sized fleet of them in service.
Name: Voyager Class Destroyer

Description: Voyager's are the oldest capital ships in the UN Space Fleet. They are mainly used to patrol space lanes for pirates and terrorists and protect mining operations in the asteroid belt. Also they are sometimes used for science operations, to study planets and other celestial objects in the Solar System.
UN Fighters
Name: F-302 Tempest
Appearance: 
Weapons: 2 Machine Guns, 6 Homing Missiles
Description: Tempest's are the older fighters of the UN. They were originally designed for atmospheric combat, although many of them have been upgraded to fight in space but they are not very good at it. In atmosphere they are very maneuverable and have a large effective range of flight.
Name: Mark II Viper
Appearance: 
Weapons: 2 Machine Guns, 4 Homing Missiles
Description: The Viper is the precursor of the later UNSC Vipers. It was designed for space combat, but is still quite capable in an atmosphere. They are small and fast and very good fighters.
