This part of the Mahora Woods is a sectioned off place, authorized by the dean of Mahora himself. Only authorized people are to come here. If students or non-authorized personnel come here, then the consequences will be severe.

(Masato enters from Academy Grounds)

Whoever was after him was right on his tail....just one judging by the subtle sounds his ears picked up as he ran, though they were downwind so he couldn't smell them, nor could he see them as he looked back while running. They were deep in the woods now and Masato quickly stopped near a clearing before he suddenly heard numerous small objects cutting through the air towards him. Masato skillfully dodged a flurry of kunai, several hitting the ground just millimeters from his paws and tail while others embedded themselves deep into the bases of trees near him as he took off again like greased lightning. Masato breathed rapidly as his paws pounded lightly and rapidly against the forest floor, the wind blowing in his face and through his fur. Few people if any could even come close to hitting him in his current form (knows from experience), especially from that distance, but this person was not only coming dangerously close, but doing from far away on the fly as well. Masato dodged three more as they came in from the side and he jumped, twisting his legs in the air before deftly landing again and running even faster. They were good. The three kunai embedded themselves diagonally in the ground directly behind him and a fourth just barely clipped his tail the moment he landed. They were damn good.

That was close....too close. Masato took pride in his tail and took great care to make sure it was neat and fuzzy, but he had no time to worry about it now. Masato continued running before he came to a large tree directly in his path and he heard another dreaded kunai flying at him from the back. It was flying low from what his ears told him and Masato quickly jumped against the trunk of the tree before the kunai nailed itself into the trunk, barely missing his lower body as he deftly and immediately stepped on it with one hind paw, twisted his body hard in mid-air, and threw a flurry of kunai of his own from his mouth and his front paws (three from his mouth, four from his paws).

His kunai flew straight and true, slicing through the air like bladed missiles, but they didn't strike flesh, bone, and sinew like he expected. Instead, his target immediately broke off and dodged into the trees to her side at the last second, barely dodging Masato's counterattack before she quickly spawned a shadow clone, which Masato immediately sensed by the slight flux and the distinctive scent of shadow magic in the air. Wait...he could smell them now? The wind had shifted and Masato's paws hit the grass a split second later before the smell and a familiar sight caught his eyes and nostrils simultaneously. His eyes widened for a brief moment, though it felt like a short eternity as it swiftly registered in his brain. Ayame. He knew her scent even as a human (you can easily guess how) and that kunai stuck near the base of the tree next to him was quite clearly hers...black with silver edges and shaped like a three-point leaf...perfectly identical to the ones he carried. They were custom-made and they had them made together. No one else in the village carried them.

Masato growled as he crouched down on all fours and took off again, this time as a shuriken as thick and as large as someone's hand suddenly cleaved into the tree trunk directly next to him, forcing him to duck his head while running as splinters flew in his face and caused him to sneeze. That one nearly took the top of his head off and cleaved off his ears. Good thing it missed. He kept running and gritted his teeth as he made a swift turn to his right and ran into a thicket. This fight had to stop. It really had to stop. Masato, despite being callous enough to kill and only go to sleep feeling better, could not bear to fight and kill his former lover or let her kill him for that matter. However, that thought was immediately interrupted as Ayame's clone quickly came in skidding and crouched from the side and he saw the glint of a sword's blade as it stood up and drew.

Clone or not, that sword would cut him in half like a guillotine the moment it came down, but Masato was quicker on the draw. He jumped up as if to headbutt the shadow clone, but instead shanked one of his kunai directly into its gut before quickly stepping with all fours on its knee and ripping it out with a strong twist of his body. Masato twisted upwards into the air (slow-mo) with his paws giving him momentum before the kunai in his teeth spun around again and sliced Ayame's clone clean across its throat (back to normal speed) before his feet touched the ground a split second later and he ran past it between its legs, causing it to fall over heavily, gurgling and coughing out blood through its kitsune mask before disappearing. 'Ayame, it's me!!" Masato yelled frantically through the trees as he stopped for a split second. However, right then and there, before he could start running again, a shower of kunai came streaking down from the forest canopy, like a shower of bladed whispers as they nailed themselves into the ground and Masato ran as hard as he could, narrowly weaving through the shower of deadly metal like a stream of (furry) mercury.

Masato dodged three more grouped together the moment the steely rain of kunai stopped, skidding to the side and running up like a cat up a tree. Ayame didn't seem to give sh*t that it was him, or maybe she didn't recognize his voice in that form. Ayame, in the trees as well, spawned more clones and more of them took off after him through the treetops while others landed and covered the ground, taking off like the wind after their furry target. Ayame was among the clones in the trees, but quickly saw one clone on the ground get its shadow pinned to the forest floor before a silver streak of light slashed through the back of its neck and the others on the ground quickly turned to it, only to be cut down swiftly and ruthlessly before all the clones next to her in the trees are suddenly hit by kunai and fall through the leaves onto the ground. One of the clones would heave and reach desperately for its sword on the ground while holding its neck and dragging itself, bleeding profusely before it disappears like the others. Masato, the blindingly fast silver streak that just managed to liquidate Ayame's shadow clones, huffed and puffed as his feet hit the ground once more and he continued racing through the thicket with a kunai in his mouth before he suddenly saw something move and the real Ayame exploded out the bushes in front of him, sliding and crouched with her hand on her blade's handle, causing his eyes to widen with fear and surprise while his paws nearly stumbled as she swiftly drew her sword.

The blade flew out of its sheath, almost singing as it was drawn and it swept in low from the front and his side to cleave him in half lengthwise. A very swift yet messy way to die. Instinct took over and Masato ducked as low as he could and rolled forward as to not lose momentum, causing the blade to barely miss his face, his ears, his tail, along with his back as he barely rolled beneath its edge, whining piteously as his feet twisted painfully, he turned around on all fours, and he ran back. There was no going forward with her right in front of him. "AYAME, NO!!" Masato yelled as he got his bearings back and saw Ayame's blade swinging down like a guillotine right on top of his skull as she swiftly cut him off and prepared to finish him. She had him good, but Masato still had an ace up his (fur?) sleeve. He swiftly twisted his body around a split second before the blade could land and threw a smoke grenade at her, causing her blade to cleave it instead and a thick cloud of purplish black smoke to envelop her and spew all at once over a wide radius around her, causing her to choke and gasp while Masato rolled back onto his feet an fled deeper into the woods.

"IT'S ME!! MASATO!! KAWAZOE MASATO!!" Masato yelled as he took off again. He was no match for her in his current for and he knew a straight-up confrontation with her would only get him killed. It was only a matter of time before she caught up with, he ran out of tricks, and she and killed him too. He had to stop the fight and fast. "We met when we were five! On the training ground outside the village!" Masato huffed as he ran. "You kicked the crap out of me until I cried!" He continued running, but could still hear Ayame pursuing like a swift and angry wind. She wasn't letting up. He dodged several more kunai, but this time two of them cut him on the side from behind while one got his front left leg. Masato yelped piteously in pain, but didn't slow down, trailing blood and a few bits of fur as he ran.

"MASATO IS DEAD YOU LYING F*CK!!" he heard Ayame's voice yell in the woods behind him. "YOU KILLED HIM!!" Those words made Masato's blood run cold as he ran harder. He didn't know what kind of lies they told about him or his supposed death after the Koga hunter-nins and torturers him back to the village as a fox, but Ayame was apparently in the dark and he knew she wouldn't listen. She had him figured for the enemy and that meant she'd never listen. Masato jumped, flipped, and somersaulted through the air as Ayame suddenly cut him off to his horror and swiped at him with her sword again, this time, cleaving straight through an oak tree (that sword of hers ain't normal) as she barely missed him and he flew over both her blade and her shoulders, rolled in the grass, and took off running again behind her. This had to stop. Now. He was losing blood and she was gaining on him faster than expected.

He had one last trick up his sleeve....a dirty, powerful, and intricate trick he concocted himself since he was turned into a fox and actually got the idea for after he made the mistake of letting a small girl pet him, only to get violently glomped afterward and nearly have his ribs and back broken (squee-induced man/foxslaughter). He reached deep into his fur with his teeth and pulled out a long pre-scribed spell on a scroll, which was actually a roll of toilet paper he swiped from a public bathroom (dude, he's a fox...how you expect him to find something better?). Toilet paper of all things...but it had to do. Masato grabbed the end of it with his teeth and chanted subvocally (possible for a fox since they have a very wide vocal range ranging from just below the audible human spectrum to high above), causing the toilet paper heavily scribed with symbols to flow in the wind and trail behind him, the black symbols lighting up with every step takes as he rapidly chants them out while running before he suddenly skidded to a halt, turned around, and yelled out the spell's name.

"THE EXPLODING FOXY GLOMP BRIGADE!!" A powerful gale swirled around Masato at that point, strong enough to nearly uproot all the bushes near the trees while a searing purplish light burned in a spell circle beneath him. Searing purple flames shot out in all directions before Masato suddenly spawned over a dozen copies, Ayame flew through the flames like an angel of death with her sword ready to strike, and all of the foxes rushed like the wind directly at her, swiftly intercepting her like a massive wall of heavy, plushie fur; giving foxy hugs and glomping her as hard as they could around her face, chest, body, limbs, and even her sword. The foxes caught Ayame with the force of an entire closet full of bedwarmers and blankets and Ayame stumbled in mid-air (and who wouldn't with that many foxes clinging to and glomping them?) before they all dragged her down and every one one of the foxes exploded in unison like fuel-air bomb just above the ground.

A massive shockwave reverberated through the woods and hundreds of leaves, twigs, and other pieces of debris fell as the thick smoke slowly cleared and Masato found Ayame unconscious and nearly naked in a smoking crater with charred pieces of her kunoichi outfit barely clinging to the crucial areas. Masato calmly walked through the smoke after that, stumbling every once in a while as he felt the wounds in this right side and leg smart before he stopped at the edge of the crater put his front paws on the crater's edge looked down at Ayame. "Well...this certainly brings back memories..." he said as the smoke cleared and he looked at Ayame's body down below. However, as much as he looked at her, he still couldn't believe it was her. How long had it been since he'd seen her? Four years? He definitely couldn't leave her like that. Masato climbed over the edge of the crater and trotted down next to her, nuzzling her face and whining and pawing gently at her cheek to try to wake her.

"Ayame....wake up...." Masato said worriedly. "I'm sorry....I really am...please wake up...." he said as he trotted around her, terribly worried as she failed to respond. He whined and looked around, hearing strange footsteps in the far distance. This was bad...he had to get her out of there, but how? She was too big for him to carry. That was when he remembered leaving one of his kunai in his and Gilly's dorm room. This would deplete whatever magical energy he had left and leave him half-way to being helpless, but it had to be done...for Ayame's sake. Masato hurriedly scrawled a spell circle around her on the ground with his paws and nipped at the air with his jaws, pulling what looked like big squarish black sheet of cloth out of the air as it folded out and fell over him and Ayame. The heavy black sheet descended on their forms before they seemingly melted beneath it and the sheet went flat on the ground before several pairs of tabi boots walked up and the sheet dissipated like a shadow fleeing the light before they could pick it up (shadow teleportation...hard to do, but Masato knows how). Masato wondered what Gilly and Axel would think after they found Ayame unconscious in their dorm unit, but right now, he had little choice to bring her there.

"Regardless of the divine judgement of heaven itself"
Darien Ad Mortem
A Warrior of fate

Darien was walking from the diner until he saw the fence that blocked off a section of forest. He read the sign lightly, and immediately jumped it in a half a** style. As he walked though the forest he kept his left hand over his hat as a gentle breeze passed by along with some light rain moving in. he was taking deep breaths taking in the slightly cool damp air around him, and slightly exhaling it from his mouth as his breath was letting out a intense heat like he was breathing fire. He paused to look at the sky, and the beautiful moon out tonight. As he looked up he removed his shades, and stared at the moon as his amber like eyes began to gloss as if the moon itself was in them. As he stared back down his eyes had a sinister lighten in them like animals late at night. A very dangerous animal on the prowl that would not stop until it got what it desired one way or the other.

As he walked though the forest a sound of various wild animals could be heard, and began to be seen circling him. As they moved closer, and saw that same gaze in his eyes they began to walk back with some silent, but with a mass majority of them growling at him. Even with their growls they immediately allowed him to pass as they became silent as they looked even closer into his eyes. As he could see Evangeline's cabin in the distance he paused, and jumped up several trees to overlook her cabin, and what he could see of Mahora. The little area itself was beautiful, and all lit up like the stars themselves were one with the earth. He sat, and leaned against the very large tree he was on staring at the night sky that held the bright moon as well as the rain that seemed to be coming from no where in the night sky. As he remained silent he began to think what Takahata had said before he left, and what he asked of Eva.

Darien reached into his pocket, and pulled out a small black sack. As he held the palm sized bag a small clinking of metal could be heard coming from it. As he placed the bad in both of his hands he sighed lightly thinking for moment as he watched the rain fall. He began to think of his former life, and a woman he left behind. He was so determined to make a name for himself with his brother, and show both worlds his abilities. As he slowly opened the sack three rings were shining in the moonlight. Two of them were pure silver with incantation written across them. The difference between the two was one was adorn with a shield on top of it, and the other was adorn with a sword on top. The last ring was pure gold with the incantation written along the inside of the ring. On top of it was a platting, and a symbol of royalty across it.

As he stared at the first two made of silver he had a faint smile thinking about them. The ring adorn with the sword was a gift from his father, and the one adorn with the shield was his previous brother's also a gift from their late father. The gold ring though was a gift of hope from his beloved he was waiting for. He took his Sword ring, and placed it on his left middle finger staring at it hard as he clinched his fist. As he held the last two rings he held them like he was ready to place the shield across his left index, and the gold ring across his left ring finger he froze as he stared at the gold ring. "...Theo..." he whispered lightly to himself as he lowered the gold ring very slowly, and held it for a moment to his chest. He stared at the other ring, and placed it back along with the other into the sack once more realizing he was not ready for either just yet.

He took off his sword ring, and placed it in his pocket as he switched it once more with his original ring. He stared at it for a moment or two thinking how this was all he had to remember his previous life as a child. A city of legend, and home to the Elite Maiden Maidens. What he left as a legacy, and what a special lady to his heart left him as a gift. He held his fist to his lips, and gently kissed his ring with the symbol of the War Maidens crested on it. After he gently kissed it he whispered softly a name. He jumped from the tree, and made his way though the forest only to be stopped by the sounds of something unusual. A strange flame appeared in front of him as it began to spawn in numbers. As they spawned they began to burn brightly as their flames made the area they were around become discolored as if the area itself was becoming sickly.

As Darien stared at the flames he began to grin "Good. I was getting rather bored as of now. This also saves me the trouble of hunting you down doesn't it? Akurojin-no-h!i". After he finished his sentence a flame began to cover his entire body as he held out his hands releasing a wave of fire that lit up the entire area. As the flames faded Darien had his hand plunged directly into the original Akurojin-no-hi as the spawn were burned away from Darien's flame wave. As Dairen's hand waswithin the center a flame began to come from his hand as it made the Akurojin-no-hi's color began to distort, and then it suddenly began to burn out around Darien's hand.

As the Akurojin-no-hi vanished Darien opened his hand as a small portion of the Akurojin-no-hi's original flame was still in his hand, but the moment he clinched his fist the flame burned out as a glow came from his hand. He reached into his pocket, and took out his cell immediately hitting a fast number as well as a instant message. After swiftly hitting in a short message he shut his cell, and made his way once more thought the forest humming lightly thinking to himself where should he go.

Akurojin-no-hi: "fire of the god of the bad road" is a ghostly flame from the folklore of Mie prefecture.
It often appears on rainy nights. People who encounter it and do not run away become gravely ill.

"I won't waste my time on you"

Mikoto entered the sectioned off woods, not much caring about the things that were there to tell her it was restricted. It was a private place to be, and she wasn't one to care about boundaries. She oculdn't go to that cursed Cathedral or any shrines. Not with where she came from. She'd run into trouble the moment she stepped foot into places like that, hallowed, holy ground.

I don’t know who to trust no surprise
Everyone feels so far away from me
Heavy thoughts sift through dust and the lies
Trying not to break but I’m so tired of this deceit
All I ever think about is this all the tiring time between
And how trying to put my trust in you just takes so much out of me

Mikoto covered her left eye with her gloved hand, before spreading her fingers and revealing an open blue eye. The ends of her scarf glowed a bit with an icy air around them, causing spots of ice on the trees they touched on accident. Because she was a hellion, she wasn't limited to fire. Ice was an element common as well. After all, punishment came in all forms, didn't it? She frowned as she walked through the woods, looking for...anything, really. She just felt she preferred to walk and stroll as at least a half demon if not full.

She looked around. Nearby were the more open to the public woods. Maybe she would find something to entertain her there. Maybe a dying animal or a nice hunt to occupy her time?

Ezra drove her bike through the woods and jumped the signs forbidding entry like they didn't exist. It wasn't a big deal. Although, there was a little more to her bike than just speed or power; there was something powering it within the engine that wasn't normal by any stretch of the word. Fence, sign, she'd leap it. From there, she hopped off after skidding across the forest floor, sticking the landing and making it look easy. She shook her head from side to side, and helped Mamoru off the bike. She'd made sure to go deep enough into the woods so that they wouldn't be disturbed.

"Alright. There's definitely something I need to let you in on. But first, do you think you could strip for me? Just your top, not your pants. I want to confirm something. If you don't want to that's fine, but I have this feeling, and I'd really like to make sure I'm right before I go saying things too freely, you know what I mean?"

She was being straight and to the point as usual, but she seemed a little more serious. Not like she was in the storage room, but just your every day serious kind of attitude. She seemed interested in something about him, but seemed to want information. But information on what?

Mamoru glanced around as they entered and drove through the woods. This was a private place alright, not many people to bother them, but this was a different area of the woods. He noticed some signs as they entered deeper, keep out and no entry signs. He'd never seen those before, they were probably just safety ones. Of course he didn't know this was a very private area, for reasons unknown to him. Once they had arrived at suitable spot, following a jump and land that had him tighten his hold on her temporarily, the two got off the bike and Ezra became a bit serious again. Just not as serious as before.

His stared at her, face a little red as his mouth opened a bit. Strip? She wanted him to strip? Well it was really only his shirt, not as bad but still. She needs to ... check something? What could it .... He thought for a moment before he had a guess. Could she be something else as well? He had felt something ... different from her before when they were close together, but he wasn't sure. He looked at Ezra, debating what to do. He wasn't keen on taking off his jacket and shirt, but if it was for what he was thinking the he wouldn't need to, right? "It's about this ... right?" Mamoru pointed to his head, more specifically his hat and hood. He felt he didn't have to worry about Ezra, even if he was wrong and she wasn't something else. Chances were she wouldn't care what he was.

"I kinda had a feelin' you were different when I met you. I dunno if that's the norm or not, but you know, you're..different. Not in a bad way. You're an innocent sort, and you seem like you're easily embarrassed by some of the things I do. That means you have a pure heart. Sounds weird I know, but you know..a lot of people who are different have been through hell. They become cynical and bitter and I get it, I mean..this world sucks for some of us. But you have this whole sweet and gentle thing going. So I figured I could trust you. Now, remember what I was trying to teach you, because I have to take some clothes off to show this to you."

She took her shirt off again, and this time, everything else with it. She was totally topless this time, but it it didn't seem like she'd dragged him out for anything dirty. She took a long breath, and grit her teeth together, with her eyes closed tight. From up out of her skin, situated perfectly between her breasts, pushed what looked like..a black gemstone of some kind. It looked like a black diamond, and was about as big as her fist. It rested against her, obviously part of her body, but it didn't seem to bring her any major discomfort, and she wasn't bleeding. The odd thing was, there was a thin crack in the center than ran up about half of it.

"That's my big secret. I'm not exactly a hundred percent normal. I won't go into what this is, but let's just say it lets me do a few things out of the ordinary. I felt something from you too, but I'm not a hundred percent sure what. I figured maybe you'd have horns or wings or something hidden, like my gemstone. There's an energy coming off of you, but I can't really identify what it is, you know. It's why I wanted to see you..you know, the real you, if that form or part of that form isn't real or anything. Should I put my top back on?"

Mamoru stared at Ezra, a little surprised. Innocent? Sweet and gentle? Him? He was starting to blush at what she was saying. It was a bit weird to hear it comin from Ezra, even if she was being a bit serious now. It felt ... kind of nice to hear her say that though. She had picked up on his true underlying self. He'd been through some tough stuff because he was different from normal humans. He'd always acted rather spiteful and hateful of them, but it had been a front. He was lying to himself, he didn't know whatever to do. His 'real' self was hidden below, almost forgotten. He looked at her again, taking a breath. She was going to take off her shirt again.

He tried to brace himself, and when she took off her shirt he blushed and his breathing got a little heavier but he was somewhat under control. Once her other piece of upper clothing came off though, well it became harder. His face turned red and his nose started to bleed a little bit, causing him to raise his hand to his face. Calm down .... r-remember what she was teaching you It was shaky, obviously he was learning still but he was trying to control himself as he was looking at her. Oddly and luckily enough once she started to show him, what was different about her, he was able to get more control. It drew his attention away from her bare upper body. He was surprised to see a gemstone of some kind in her chest, a kinda big one at that. There was some kind of crack in it or something. But ... what was it?

Mamoru brought his gaze back up to her face as she spoke again. She had been able to feel he was different, maybe that's what he had felt earlier about her as well. She felt he was different and trusted him to show she was different as well. Mamoru felt ... some kind of bond with Ezra. Of course, anyone who wasn't human he felt a sort of bond with, especially if they were a fellow half demon. But even Mamoru had a feeling she wasn't a demon, she was something else instead. "If you could ... that'd make it easier." Mamoru nodded his head, removing his hand from his nose, he wasn't bleeding anymore at least.

Mamoru waited until she had her clothes back on again before he pulled his hood down, he still had his hat on but it was clear he was willing to show her. "I-I guess I can show you." He seemed a little shy about it, but he was going through with it. He removed his hoodie first, then his hat and shirt. His silver furred cat ears atop his head twitched a few times rapidly as they were finally getting some fresh air. Mamoru crossed his arms in front of him, both in a small attempt to cover himself and to cover his embarrassment. He turned to the side a little to show his tail stick up out of the back of his pants. There seemed to be a few scars on his back as well from ... who knows what. Well he knew, treatment towards him for being what he was. He looked at Ezra, to see what her response was.

She slid her shirt back on and watched him as he revealed himself. So that's what it was, hm? Well, he wasn't entirely human. No, he had the blood of the endless. That's the tiny energy she'd felt. Good, good. It meant that she hadn't been in error. Humans wouldn't be able to handle what it was she had to offer, and the fact he had the spirit of one of those..yes. That's what she'd sensed, but it was weak. Not because he was weak, no. But because he hadn't explored it. That was her theory. How much about his own power did he actually know? Most likely, she surmised, very little. Having to hide it all the time, it was likely he hadn't had much time to delve into his own power. But she'd help him do that. And more. It wasn't up to her to pinpoint, either. She wasn't sure what form his power would take, but she would enhance it. Yes, that was perfect.

As she watched him, she could only smile. The part of her that was Ezra didn't discourage him, and once he was finally without a shirt himself, she walked forward and strode once around him, looking him over. She smiled the whole time, indicating she wasn't disappointed at all. And then she did the oddest thing. She lightly ran her fingers along the marks on his back. She gently traced each one, and then wrapped her arms around him from behind. From there, she pulled him down into the grass and laid there beside him, with her arms tightly wound about his upper body; one of her hands teased through his hair and along his ears. She was being oddly comforting.

"Humans are pitiful things, aren't they? They're afraid and they hate what they don't understand. They sit so low on the evolutionary scale, but they think they're the top of the food chain, just because they crawl all over the earth like bugs, and tear everything out of the ground to make their cities and machines. And they look at us like we're the monsters. It's ironic, isn't it? They're so weak, but in numbers they overwhelm us. The number of 'good' humans compared to the monsters is low. And even then, they all have a selfish side, don't they? They don't understand what it means to be free. They're jealous of us. That's why they hate us. They wish they could be like us, and they take that jealousy out of our skin.

Oh, I entertain myself with them. They're my playthings. But I stand above them when I'm on that stage. They worship me, the thing they hate, because they don't know any better. I stand above them and I laugh. I use them, and throw them away..the same as they would you or me. It's only fair, right? That's why I don't believe in love. Humans don't 'love' unless it suits them. They're far more adept at hurting things. But they can't help it. They form bonds out of hate, and try to squash anything that doesn't live up to what their world view is. Kill difference. Kill individuality. You've seen it, right? How in a lot of the world they hate people who look different, act different..I'll use them, and use them until they're all used up. And I'll stand alone, on that stage, with the black wind around me, and my voice the only thing left. And then, I'll go home..wherever home is."

Mamoru watched as she looked at him, inspected him and circled around. She had a smile on her face, it wasn't one of her dirty grins, just a smile. He felt a little at ease seeing it thought, she was ok with what he was, a half demon. Goosebumps spread across his body when he felt her fingers touch his back, tracing marks on his back. He was blushing now, something about her fingers running along his back sent chills down his spine, not the bad kind though. Then the next thing he knew her arms were wrapped around his body and he was pulled down onto the grass with her beside him, embracing him. He stared right at her his face red, he felt one of her hands in his hair near his ear. Something about being like that felt comforting to him, soothing.

He listened as she began to speak, about humans and how they treated things. He knew very well the truth in her words, he believed it too. He'd seen and experienced it first hand. when he thought back on it and was reminded about those times his attitude towards humans starts to return. "They really are. They're scared so the turn to force. They make the first move, starting something that didn't have to start. They only care about themselves. They turn their back on you so quickly once they learn. It doesn't matter how you were, once you're different it's meaningless. They just want nothing to do with you. Want you gone."

As he started to talk his eyes closed and his head lowered to lean against her as his arm came to lightly wrap around her a little. It was clear he was sinking into her embrace. With the feeling it gave and what they were talking about, he just felt comfortable, cared for. He opened his eyes a little as he heard Ezra talk about what she does, how she treats THEM. Part of him said it was wrong. How she talked about it was a bit dark, mean. Shouldn't they be above that? But the side of him that was present right now saw some sense in it. He agreed with it a bit. If they were going to treat them like that, why not treat them back? Give them what they were given. "Home ...." Mamoru muttered the words to himself. That was the only place he hadn't been treated bad, but he left. He couldn't let them suffer because of him. His parents, just normal humans who took him in and raised him. They were the only 'good' humans to him.

"It's how apes are. They beat their chest and fight for who's the biggest among them. But no matter how big a monkey is, he's still a monkey. Just because they sling their fists around, they think it makes them strong. But it doesn't. All it does is prove their weakness. They hate because they're weak. Because they're afraid, and jealous. Their egotism hides a deep seated fear of the unknown. They don't want to evolve. They don't want to transcend. They're scared of what might become of them. They cling so hard to their little niche, they don't want to know what lies beyond. Blind faith, stupid beliefs. None of it means anything in the end. They still go crying and screaming, most of them. So I'm gonna live wild. I'm gonna throw caution to the wind, and do what I want, when I want. Because that's my right, just like it is yours.

Who the hell are these humans, anyway? Who told them this world, any world belongs to them? They conquer it with numbers, and all they do is consume. And what they can't eat, they want to own and twist. Haven't you ever wondered what's out there? Beyond this world? What the universe would be like, if it was nothing but a pure harmony? An eternal music. A music that never began or ended, it just..was? I want that. I don't wanna rule the world, I don't wanna destroy it. I want to bind the universe and play a music that touches all of time. A quadrillion voices, no, even more; all lives in tandem, weaving the music of the beginning of creation. Could you imagine..what being part of a song like that would be like? To give up all things, just to float bodiless, a pure form, in the song of beginning.."

She sighed then, and squeezed him tight against her before standing up. For a brief moment, she seemed so..tired. Like all the world sat on her shoulders, and she was so much older than she really looked. Then again, she was a musician. Maybe the stress got to her, alongside her being not quite human. Normal musicians had big stress issues the more they went on tour and performed. Considering how young she seemed to be, it was entirely possible she was under a lot of stress and she just didn't let on. She did seem a little lighter though when she reached her hand out to help him off the ground, and of course to help him put his clothes back on. She refastened her bra under ehr shirt, and urged the Shade Stone to retreat back into her body once more.

"Well, we've shared each other's big secrets..so. Wanna make out?"

She grinned at him, once again her normal self. Was that more comforting, or no? It was probably hard to say, but this was the girl that had first spoken to him; that little tease that seemed to enjoy is embarrassment.

Mamoru closed his eyes as he listened to Ezra's words. She was right, he agreed with her on how she described humans. "They're unavoidable though. they're everywhere. You have to deal with them somehow at one point." Technically that wasn't true entirely. There were places without them, or at least without as many. Of course Mamoru wasn't aware of that, he was still learning about the 'other side' of this world. What you don't normally see. "Do what you want when you want." He repeated her words. That what she had told him earlier when they first met. Let go of guilt, throw caution to the wind and just live.

He opened his eyes and looked off into the distance. "No ... I can't imagine that. But ... it doesn't sound that bad." It was a hard concept for Mamoru to grasp, he wasn't able to see a world like that. He didn't disagree with her, he just was unable to see such a thing. As she squeezed him tightly for a moment he returned her hug for once. He looked at her as she let go and rose from the ground. Something about her ... seemed different than before. Tired? Well she was kinda wild and she was a musician, right? Maybe that was part of it too? She had a lot of things to do probably. In someway, seeing that tiredness from her made part of him want to get closer to her. He didn't get it, but he didn't mind spending more time with her, getting to know her. Mamoru felt comfortable around her.

He took her hand as she helped him up and blushed a little when she was helping with his clothes too. He adjusted his hat on his head when he looked at her blushing. Well, he felt comfortable except for the teasing. Most of the time. "Maybe next time ..." He tried to give a sort of smirk, but his blushing and slight awkwardness messed it up a little. Well he was sort of adapting to her teasing.
