A room for the staff to get away from the students in. Mismatched, secondhand furniture adorns the place, and moth eaten couch of a rather unlikable shade of green being one of the few furnishings. The copier is the only thing near new in this space, with the coffee machine being a quick runner-up. Rumors have been floating about getting it refurnished next year, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Shirai slumped into the teacher's lounge, not looking too happy. Sighing, he made his to the coffee machine, coffee always made him feel better. He could't believe that those two students had the nerve to just waltz out of his class like that! It was starting to piss the red head off.

Sighing and rubbing his face wearily, Shohei Kikkawa pushed through the door and into the teacher's lounge, letting it shut itself behind him. Maybe a coffee would help.
As he removed his hand from his face, he was a little surprised to see another person already in front of the machine. Shohei mentally shrugged it off; Really, why should he be surprised to see another teacher in the teacher's lounge? "Excuse me," He said, squeezing in next to the red haired guy to reach for a mug.

Having a bad temper, and already getting himself angrier, Shirai only moved an inch. He growled grumpily at the other teacher as he continued to fill his mug. He didn't care if this guy was bigger than him, he held his temper back.
Finishing, he stmped over to the couch and sat in it, still fuming.

Miffed and a little shocked at the slighty smaller man's hostile attitude, Shohei muttered, "What's his problem?" to himself as he filled up his coffee mug. Of course, thinking back to his fight with the brash student Yasutaka, he felt a little more sympathetic to the other guy.
Walking over to a tan tweed armchair that looked like it was yanked out of a hospital waiting room, Shohei sat and offered the man a weary grin. "Rough day too?"

Shirai looked over at the other teacher, lips still pressed together in irritation. His blue eyes scanned the other man, as if sizing him up, before nodding. "Yeah..." he said gruffly, taking a sip of the bitter goodness that was coffee.

{[( You would, Michi, you would. xd )]} Taking a long sip of his own beverage, Shohei ran a hand through his dark blonde hair and made a noise of agreement. "You wouldn't believe some of the stuff this kid was telling me in class." Frowning into the brown liquid, he rehashed the episode with Chiba in his mind.

Shirai raised his eyebrows, "You're having student trouble too?" he asked, his voice loosing its previous gruffness. With out really noticing, he was beginning to feel more comfortable with this guy. He reached out with his right hand. "I'm Shirai Hikairi, I teach math."

Leaning across the dark, scuffed coffee table, the blonde took Shirai's hand. "Shohei Kikkawa, science teacher." He introduced himself. "Just call me Shohei." Leaning back, he sighed wearily.
"Oh yeah, this one guy. One of those kids," he waved a hand, "always looking for trouble of some kind. First day and he already thought he knew how to do my job better than I did." He said gruffly into his coffee mug before taking another sip.

Shirai actually smiled, even if it was a small one. He was a new teacher, right out of school himself. It was nice to have someone to talk to. Retracting his hand, he took another sip of his coffee. "You think that's bad, I had a few stundents just up and leave! I know some people hate math, but come on!" he was getting riled up again.

Shohei arched his brows in surprise. "Really? Well, damn," he threw an arm up in the air in exasperation. "And I thought the insubordiation was bad! Why, that's outright mutiny." The science teacher said, half amused and half outraged. He and Shirai seemed to be getting along. It would be nice to have a pal to chat with, for sure. "Next time, try doing what I do with uncooperative kids."

Shirai knitted his eyebrows together, "Exactly! And you know how the kid spoke to me? Like I was another student!" he said indignantly. He may be young, but he was still an adult.
Raising his eyebrows, he nearly smiled again. "What do you do?" he asked, almost eager.

"Well, when they start getting out of line," Shohei began, flourishing with a finger, "take something, like an eraser or a marker or something you don't need. And chuck it at them." He finished with a smug smile, serious but looking like he wasn't. "Simple and effective."
