What Is Verenkor?
Hopefully you've figured it out by now, but if not, let me explain. Verenkor is a new kind of roleplaying setting--one that fans of everything from science fiction to tradition fantasy to steampunk can enjoy. It's built around it's ability to remain familiar and easy to get into, even when changing Verenkor campaigns, yet offer new and interesting roleplay situations you won't find in more traditional roleplay. If you want more of the same, this isn't the place for you.
Rules
1. Respect each other or at least pretend to!
2. Respect the game. No OOC chatter within game threads, no jumping in and out on a whim. Put some thought into your character. No revealing your character's thoughts in your roleplay--characters aren't mindreaders! Use common sense for the rest of this.
3. I forget the rest. Just use some common sense dammit!
How This Works
A lot of this is explained more in the Setting Creation and Roleplay and Database forums, but here's a quick rundown.

Verenkor is available both for people who want to roleplay, and people who want to be creative and contribute to the setting itself, which can be expanded indefinitely. We're looking for roleplayers, writers, artists, etc. Anyone can contribute though we expect literacy (which is the ability to roleplay in one to a few paragraphs, not saying absolutely nothing in ten) for roleplay. Verenkor is not yet ready to roleplay.

There is Official lore, Approved lore, and Unapproved lore. Official lore is the stuff that's come down from the top--ie, me or another admin--and is, of course, official. It's what everything else is built upon. Approved lore is submitted stuff that the admins approve of and are okay with and is no different from official lore. Unapproved lore, of course, is lore that is pending approval. Otherwise roleplay works just the same, with gamemasters running their own approved campaigns in either canon or their own approved settings.
