Brief History Of Vampires

Over 3,000 years ago, when the world of Malaise was a vast continent floating in the sky. There dwelled nothing but humans living there daily lives. However when the great explosion happened that separated the great continent a mystical aura filled the air changing those near the blast site....though they technically dies these people still breathed, drank, and made love like normal humans. These beings are known as Vampires! Many humans fear these beings for being 'abominations' however, over the course of 3,000 humans started to accept them over their genetic cousin, the Werewolf! Sadly humans still fear and do not respect these immortals believing that humans are superior over them! There are many famous Vampires that have hindered and aided humans during those 3,000 years and are more likely still alive! Most Vampires are direct descendants of those first Vampires to which hold aristocratic positions in society while others where 'made' by another vampire's sensual kiss of death. There are distinct differences between the two which I will go over later....

As I mentioned before about the differences between naturally born vampire and those who have been turned. I will mention those here as well as their levels of power and estimated 'age'!

Blue Bloods

Blue Bloods are those that know where their 'dark gift' originated just by using a family tree. Generally they are rather pious and overzealous about being Blue Bloods and have no problem in letting you know who they are. If you mistake a Blue Blood for a Black Blood...prepare to be executed for calling a Blue Blood a Black Blood is a very serious offense in their society.
Child- To be called a Child in the Blue Blood social order is to be called 'inexperienced' or 'new'. Generally they have not yet learned to control the thirst so they are more likely to frenzy. Vampire's usually lock their Child in a cage until they have mastered the thirst. Once a Child has mastered the thirst they are no longer consider a child for the suffering that the child endures is more painful than anything....

Adolescent- An Adolescent is mainly still a new vampire however they are no longer dangerous to society. They have mastered the thirst they learn about their abilities and weaknesses. Usually it takes more than ten years for an Adolescent to 'grow up'. They're personalities are like a human teenager but much worse for it takes more to kill or harm a vampire.

Adult- Adults are what most people know vampires as. Sophisticated and elegant about their powers and abilities. Yet at this time of a vampire's life is the only time they can actually reproduce with another vampire. Most vampire choose to procreate while a small amount of vampires learn and hone on their dark gift. A vampire remains an Adult for fifty years until becoming an Elder or a Master Elder.
Elders & Master Elders- The difference between an Elder and a Master Elder is this. If a vampire chooses to reproduce instead of honing on their gift then they can never achieve the graces of Master. Elder are more like human grandparents than anything else. They age to appear older and are very wise. Master Elders DO NOT age at all and appear as if they are still an adult for they have mastered the dark gift to the point of not needing to ever feed on a living being and to sustain themselves on small amount of blood.

Black Bloods

Black Bloods CAN NOT trace back their noble line for they are not related by true blood to the vampire that made them. Blue Bloods see Black Bloods as mistakes....
Brat or Recently Gifted- This is actually a derogatory term for newly turned vampire among Blue Bloods. Black Bloods prefer to be called Recently Gifted. Basically this is the same as a 'Child' however most cases Black Blood Vampires are usually killed off at this stage due to their blood lust! However if a Recently Gifted masters the thirst they are lucky!
Child or Vampire Generally it is not that rare to find a Black Blood at this level though they usually do not talk about levels as much as the Blue Bloods do. Blue Bloods mainly call these vampire's children for they do not see them as equals and will belittle them as much as possible. There are no records of a Black Blood living older than an Adult Blue Blood.

Vampire Weaknesses
According to an old legend many human's believe that vampires turn to dust when out in sunlight. This is not true! Vampires, although are primarily nocturnal beings, do not burn when out in broad daylight. Think about it, have you ever scene any nocturnal animals burst into flames when walking out in sunlight? Didn't think so...Here is a list of ALL of there weaknesses!

Water- Many do not understand why vampires literally melt when water touches their skin as if your are pouring acid on them. However it happens.

Decapitation- Seriously if anyone gets their head cut off they are not gonna make it!

Blood Loss- If a vampire is completely drained of their blood then they will die. Blood is life and with out it they are nothing!

Removal Major Organ- Seriously if anyone has a major organ removed they wont live for long!

Vampire Sstrengths
There are many legends of vampires having the strength of ten men, to which they would lift a human up in the air by the neck with only one hand, as if the human weighted the same as a piece of paper. Here I will separate fact from fiction!

Strength- Vampire, depending on how they hone their dark gift, can lift more than three times their body weight. Yet there are some vampires that can lift more than five times their body weight for they have been working out. ie: lifting weights...

Telepathy- Again, depending on how a vampire hones their dark gift, vampires can read human minds easily. Yet it is rather difficult to read the thoughts of another vampire or even a Lycan! The only way a vampire could read the thoughts of another vampire or Lycan is by drinking their blood to create a physical connection! There is nothing documented as to how this is possible, however it has been proven.

Mind Control- This is pretty much the same as telepathy yet there is one difference...Vampires, depending on how strong their will is, can control a Lycan rather easily, for only a short period of time. It has been noted that a vampire once owned a human for fifteen years due to mind control...

Vampire Misconceptions
Here are the various Misconceptions about vampires and I will tell you the truth behind the lie....

Are vampires truly immortal? I mean vampires can not die right?
- NO! vampires have a long lifespan than humans! They can die yet they are not as fragile as a human. Vampires typically live up to two hundred human years or more some vampires have been known to live up to five thousand human years!

Okay so how can I stop a vampire? Garlic, religious artifacts, and silver?
-Think of it this way....how would you fight a person? Garlic? Religious Artifacts? A vampire will laugh at you and then kill you just out of spite for your ignorance! Silver can not harm a vampire yet it can easily harm a Lycan!

Are Vampires like zombies?
- NO! vampires have a brain and all of their fully functioning human like systems. the only difference is that vampires can not digest foods with actual nutrition {ie: dairy, meat, fish}! Yet do not freak out if you see a vampire nibbling on some candy...for they can eat it! Another odd thing is vampires can actually eat some fatty foods....though they tend to feel rather ill afterwards..

When getting fed off of by a vampire....does it feel good like sex?
- Oddly enough this is true, most researchers do not understand how a vampire can physically displace the sharp pain of those hollow fangs piercing flesh...yet most believe that they release an undetectable chemical in their saliva that some how alters the nerves to change what they are feeling.
