As a special treat for you, we have created some basic items we will be incorporating into Darkness Rising. We slaved over these all day today in an 85 degree house with no fans on to get this ready by the time we got done babysitting. And now for the unveiling of the items that we have created...


Weapons

LS-Slash: 50% hit (minor)
LS-H Slash: 35% hit (major)

S-Bonk: 50% hit (minor)
S-Concentrate: 25% - Next ability has +10% chance to succeed

D-Cut: 40% hit (minor)
D-Stab: 30% hit (minor) – if D-Cut succeeded in previous attack, damage becomes (major). D-Cut gains extra 10% chance to hit.

B-Arrow: 45&#xhi;t (minor)
B-Double Shot: 35% hit 25% hit (minor) if both hits succeed, damage becomes (major)

A-Bash: 30% hit (minor) if hit opponents next attack has 10% less chance of success.


Shields

Cannot be used with 2 handed weapons: extra 5% chance of opponent's attack missing

15% chance of dagger damage class being reduced by one class.

Clarifications on the armor: classes can only wear certain armor types.

Example: Lightforger can wear up to medium armor.

Rules for Items:

Each character can have either Two Weapons, One Weapon and a Shield, or One Weapon. Each weapon grouping has stipulations.

Two Weapons - When using two weapons, you may swing both in an attack, however, the second hit has a 10% less chance.

Weapon and Shield - Alternatively known as "Sword n Board", you can effectively attack and be able to block incoming hits.

One Weapon - If your class actively uses a hand in its abilities, you might want to consider using only one weapon. For example: Most Lightbringers will carry a longsword and use Light-based attacks with their other hand.

Armor Types:

Light - Robes, wraps, the like. Armor anyone can use.

Medium - Leather, mithril chain, etc. Armor semi-skilled melee users wear.

Heavy - Plate, Chain Shirts, Full plate, etc. Armor skilled melee users wear.

Rings:

Only one Ring can be equipped per hand. Choose wisely.
