Lorelei was silent as the dead as she walked through the brush. The enchantment she'd placed on herself to mask her movements was working so well she was only marginally aware she was moving.
The real trouble of it was that the forest was absolutely rejecting her choice of attire. Really, frilly-frilly petticoats were never meant for walks in the untamend wilderness this time of year in the first place. She was not looking forward to having to mend this dress when she got home.
"I'll do extra harm just for this irritation." She muttered. Pausing for a moment, she sniffed the air, an action she still found a little odd, even after all these years.
"Ah... She's doing an incantation. Her presence will be easy to follow now, for sure. Yes... I'm close."
And so she continued, walking as casually as a Lady on a picnic stroll.

*he's thinking "all of my years of training in the forest has made this an easy task" he is sprinting through the woods without a sound. zack has perfected the art as well. Jay motions for Zack to stop and stay behind a large tree as the woman turns several times then continues on her way* weird *he thinks under his breath*

leaning back against a tree, Lorelei brushed the sweat off her pale forehead and took a deep breath.
"I need to end this quickly, or my skin might get pigment..."
She brushed the leaves off her lace-trimmed, white skirt and pulled snapped twigs and thorns out of her braids as she rested. She loosened the corset ever so slightly, just to get a little more air. Even this leisurely walk, on a day like this, was a little much for her.
She pulled the dark lace veil back over her silver hair and white face, and peered through the woods.
"Alright my dear... Do you know I'm here yet? You haven't shown any signs... I hope you're not waiting to spring a trap at the last moment."
Smiling, her eyes flickered with a soft purple light as she prepared herself to invoke her inscribed soul.
"Well, if you make it easy, I wont complain too much, on a beautiful day like today. Sunshine puts me in an ill mood~"

She couldn't tell if she'd noticed them or if they had noticed her first. What she did know for certain is that that dog had apparently heard or smelled through her concealment spell, and the only thing keeping her from throwing her scription knife at it was that she was a fan of dogs.
Such things as they were, though, the stranger and his companion looked like they were hunting, and a quick glance to the side told her their quarry was the same. She couldn't sense anything magical out of this fellow, however, so she had no idea what business he could have with this witch. She wondered if she'd scared him, appearing out of nowhere looking to all the world like a Victorian-era English ghost, but she didn't see any immediate signs of such a reaction.
She narrowed her eyes, as the wheels in her head began to tick along like the gears in a clock, and her small mouth spread into a smile.
Maybe this would be fun, afterall.
"Hello, there," she said softly, still plenty audible for any magician who cared to be aware of the surroundings to hear, but quiet enough for a fool to miss, "are we witch hunting, today?"

*he nods as a signal for hello (not knowing he was also confirming the hunt), thinking to himself "I've seen a lot of weird folks, but this one is taking the cake. she seemed to have good intent towards him so he motioned for her to come over, then turned back towards the other woman, Zack was a little uneasy, but had learned that when Jay seemed unalarmed, he should act that way also*

Lorelei came over quietly and squatted by this fellow. She glanced at the dog, who didn't seem to think much of her at all, and smiled. Turning her attention back to the target, she got right to business.
"You seem like you've been stalking her for a bit now. Have you... seen anything?"

Giggling uncontrollably Mai slid around around the corner, stumbling for a moment before scooping up her loot and dashing down the alleyway.
The cops weren't far behind her and she could hear them closing fast. She grinned to herself as they pulled a car across the entrance to block her in. Unknown to them she had already set up her escape.
She hopped lightly onto the dumpster at the end of the alley, paused for a moment to wave at the mob of police, jumped into an open window and ducked out the back door.
"Too easy!" She said aloud still giggling as she looked over her catch, a bag of smooth black pearls. "So pretty....I wonder why they make such a fuss over them"
A siren wailed from the next street over and Mai took off toward the nearby woods. "Guess I better lay low for a while."

*squats as well, still staring at the other woman* She's been mumbling and turning in circles. She's not real bright when it comes to walking through the woods. *looks at the lady's dress beside him and notices all the twigs and leaves, then smiles his don't be offended-aren't i cute smile*

Picking up immediately on what he'd thought of her when he saw her mangled clothes, she couldn't bring herself to feel any real irritation. Maybe it was the disarming smile, maybe she knew it was true. Maybe she just didn't care?
"Whatever" she said, watching the witch's strange dance. She couldn't tell what was going on, even from such a close proximity, and that concerned her. One does not charge a witch - even from behind - blindly. At least, not if you're the first person. Looking at her new hunting partner out of the corner of her eye, however, she suspected she wouldn't need to.
"You ever wanted to throw down with a witch?"

Lorelei nodded. Plan, ah... What an amusing thought. She looked at the witch. She was positive their presence was felt at this point.
"Well, we don't know what she's doing, or what she's planning to do next. She probably knows we're here, so just sitting around waiting for her to zap us wont do anyone any good..."
She looked at Jay.
"So it would perhaps be wise for us to make the first move. I assure you, she likely deserves everything that will happen to her today."

Jay nods. Then looks around at the trees above him and jumps into one. Zack begins to make a wide circle through the trees and is opposite the new friend.
