We are Proud to announce that we have worked out the leveling system for the A.C.T. system. After some deliberation, lots of calculations, and revamping a few things, we have come up with the Experience Chart for Darkness Rising!
For those of you familiar with dnd style rp's, the experience should be fairly simple.
We will be starting as lvl. 1 characters. To reach level 2 you will need 1000 Exp. Exp will be given out 10 points per paragraph sized post. One lined posts do not count so please try to keep using your imagination! Experience will be added up daily at Midnight Eastern Time and level changes/Exp totals will be posted in the subforum for the RP. Please check these daily!
You've made it to level 2 and now you want to work towards level 3! How much Exp do you need? Simple, all you need to do is look at the EXP chart we will be posting in the Darkness Rising subforum.
For those of you who want to know the basic percentage of increase on the exp required to level, it is exp + (1.5 times exp) rounded to the nearest 100th... or atleast that's what Ashodin said he did. it's 3:30 am and i'm too sleepy to check over it but the numbers seem to be ok. Keep in mind that these totals may seem high, but we will be throwing in other things that gain you experience as things progress. However, if for some reason things seem to be progressing too slowly, we may tweak the leveling system a bit. no exp will be lost if we tweak them though because the base exp for posts will remain the same.
We currently plan to have the chapters last a month before the next chapter will be released so that we all have time to level and what not. Also, this will give Ash some time to gather what's went on based on our RP for the month and put together the next chapter.
We will keep you posted on the developments. Hopefully we will have this thing going soon. Thank you all for your input on the new system and for waiting it out for us to actually release Chapter 1. To pass the time, feel free to make discussion topics or just post on the ones we already have here.
