Yes I realize that I'm the author of all 3 threads in the Rave forum. lol.
But no seriously. This thread has a purpose I promise. And that is....
To let ya'll know I'll be gone for a few days. I'm going to an SCA event out in the desert. No internet access... Pooey. But alcohol and partying at night in awesome costumes plus fighting and fun during the day. Woot!
Oh, and since ya'll probably don't know what the SCA is...
I'm just going to say the even is going to be like a massive renaissance faire.
And it's also why I haven't replied to everyone in the past couple days, I've been uber busy packing and making arrangements.

Yeah but I get most of the networking done at my current job, bartending. Mm yeah I bet you do get a lot through that... I'd LOVE to be a bartender but I have to be 21 to be able to serve open alcohol. gonk

*gasp!!!* My fiance, Allen does SCA!!! So does his father!!! I wanted to go with him, but we didnt make it this year... sad

Apok-a-lyptikon the strangeness Right on! I'm trying to get into the SCA and all that good stuffs. I have a lot of friends that are part of it but I can't seem to get anyone to let me know when the meetings are, or who to talk to about it, or even just the requirements to be included in any of the encampments. lol, the only reason Allen didnt want me to go is because somehow there always ends up being an orgy somewhere, so he was worried someone would trick me into going because sometimes, I'm just that gullible! But, as I said, we didnt have the money or the time to go. Allen's going to train me how to sword fight. Yeah, there usually is lol. I stayed in my tent at night mostly. I went with an old friend and mostly we made jokes, played cards, and worked on sewing projects. Boring, but hey we really didn't know anyone there outside of eachother. I mean I had a few friends, but they were all getting drunk/high with other friends that I didn't know, so I didn't much feel like trying to get acquainted with new people when they wouldn't remember me the next day anyway.
......plus I didn't want to leave my friend alone, she's anti-drugs, against excessive alcohol, and she's not good in crowds or around strangers, so yeah.
