Hitory: Lorelei grew up a normal girl in a normal family, and like many children was very sensitive to the supernatural in her earlier years. Deeply taken by the occult and the supernatural, she spent most of her youth researching the subject, convinced despite all conventional wisdom that magic and spirits were real.
Either through luck or sheer determination, she managed to find and confirm a warlock, whom she tried to force to teach her magic. He refused, being a mage of noble blood, to teach a laywoman the arts, and in fact nearly killed her to ensure the secrecy of magedom was kept. She escaped, running away from her home in the process.
Years later, after having long been considered dead, she reappeared. Her childhood name long abandoned, she called herself Lorelei Remington, which she says is the name given to her by the demon with whom she'd made a pact. Her singular purpose is to hunt down and "humble" noble blooded magi, to prove that even dumb commoners like her can become powerful.
The demon whom she now serves has yet to be identified, as she loyally protects its identity. While incredibly violent, she has only actively sought the life of an opponent if they are a percieved threat to her "master," not unlike a vampire. Her explanation is usually along the lines of "This is what a soul is worth," a cryptic phrase that seemingly makes no sense in the context.
