I'm surprised this hasn't been brought up yet. but the other week it was revealed that Pokemon Silver and Gold were getting make overs for the DS. they will be known as Soul Silver and Heart Gold. there's gonna be a new female character for it and I think it's likely that there's gonna be some changes to it as well. one screenshot on Serebii.net shows your starter following you, not sure what that means exactly but it looks like the new versions could be borrowing from Pokemon Yellow a bit.
