Is there global warming... yes. Would it occur naturally even if we weren't here... yes. Do we really make that much difference to the true scope of life... no. The Earth is unconcerned about our stuff, and if we push to much she'll just respond via Mother Nature and kill us off. Then life will spring anew as a different species gets the chance to flourish and evolve and take over.

We are too short-lived to see what natural cycles occur and how strong/weak they are. Most of what we are seeing now could be from normal weather pattern oscillations that we just haven't been around long enough observing to realize. That's not to say that we aren't necessarily speeding the process up some, but I don't think all the effects we are seeing are because of us.

It is very presumptuous of us to think that we are so powerful and almighty that we are more powerful than Mother Nature is.
