Marine rank is a badge of leadership.
Responsibility for personnel, equipment, and mission grows with each increase in rank.
To make the rank of commissioned Officer you must first acheive the rank of Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps (SgtMajMC)
Other then the Role Playing forums non officer rank has no real meaning other than you can tell anyone under you what to do.
Once you make SgtMajMC you will be sent a pm with the crew application and be considered for guild crew.

Officer ranks in the United States military consist of commissioned officers and warrant officers.
Warrant officers hold warrants from their service secretary and are specialists and experts in certain military technologies or capabilities. The lowest ranking warrant officers serve under a warrant, but they receive commissions from the president upon promotion to chief warrant officer 2. These commissioned warrant officers are direct representatives of the president of the United States. They derive their authority from the same source as commissioned officers but remain specialists, in contrast to commissioned officers, who are generalists.
To make Warrant Officer you have to fill out the application in the applications sub forum. If you make the rank of Warrant Officer you will have the jobs of intel and weapons tech. Warrant Officers are rank for the role playing threads. If you are not interested in the rank of Warrant Officer you can skip this and go straight to commissioned officers if you have the right rank (Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps)

The commissioned ranks are the highest in the military. These officers hold presidential commissions and are confirmed at their ranks by the Senate.
Comissioned Officer ranks will be made at a later time. All pre-existing crew members will start at the rank of Second Lieutenant.
The requirements for a Comissioned Officer are a lot higher than a regular rank.
Second lieutenant requirements are very high, being a Second lieutenant means you will have more responsibility than the normal member, once you make the rank you become eligable for the guild crew. You can think of being Second Lieutenant as a probationary crew member. To make active crew member you must at least make Captian and fill out the application in the applications sub forum.

To make Second Lieutenant you have to be a helpful member to the guild. You must be active for at least 2 months, You have to recruit 3 active members and you must have at least 100 posts and have donated 650 gold.
19.) First Lieutenant
(1st Lt)
To make First Lieutenant you must meet all the requirements of Second Lieutenant. You must also Recruit 3 more active members, you must serve at least 3 months in the guild, Help at least 5 members with problems in the guild, post 150 times and donate 1500 gold.
20.) Captain

Once you meet the specific requirements of First Lieutenant you become eligable for Captain, the promotions From Captain on will be made by me alone, To become a Captain you must do somthing special for the guild. When I deam that you are ready to be part of the Elite Ranks I will PM you that you have been promoted to Captain.
