Ah, the memories...good times, good times (short, short times too). Anyway, this thread is for Spark and I. It concerns the plot of our side-story/Underground RP with our characters Cindy and Kyle. We'll be posting updates here as well as any other information we feel like spewing out on a whim.

Oh btw...OK so I know we were talking about this RP just before we posted it in the Underground. Was it somewhere in the OOC forum? We need to find it or re-type it here cause I forget now everything we decided we were going to do. I mean, right now we're in Sunyshore and gonna battle the gym/elite 4 in Sinnoh. I'll make those quick, btw. I'm not following this guild system for battles. In fact, for the sake of moving on with the RP, I was just thinking of saying I went into the gym then ... (dot dot dot) ... finished! A spectacular victory by Cindy! And the crowd goes wild! Just to speed things up though, you know? Battles could be a bit boring at times. I may actually do something more for the Elite 4 though since its a bigger deal.
Also, is Kyle participating in the Pokemon League in Sinnoh? Or is already done? I assume he obtained badges too while he was there...

Umm, I'm pretty sure those were split between the crew forum and PMs.
And yeah, he is. It makes sense to shorten it and everything, too. Let's roll with it.

Alright that suits me just fine. Well, when we get finished with Sinnoh, we'll talk again and see where to go from there. There's still the matter of the Viridian gym too. But even though that's where they'll end up, it seems too, well, final if we went there right after Sinnoh. Because that's where they are in the mainstream RP and there won't be much for us to RP if we send them back there right away.
Weren't we talking about Orre, or another region or something?

Yeah. You wanted either a journey in Orre or an entirely new region. I was prepared with storylines for either of those.
1. - Orre They hear about the Colosseum Circuit and fight their way to the top, and they could both win since Orre is strictly for double battles.
2. - New Region They get a help message from Landon saying he's captured by the evil team of the new region and they go on a journey to rescue him, with each gym leader being a commander of the evil team in their designated area.

Hey, that new region would be a totally cool idea. I mean, we'd even get to come up with new cities and everything. And if it works out, our RP could be like a "test run" - i.e. if we like it well enough, we could possibly add it to the guild as part of the mainstream RP.

Yeah. We could.
Anyways. What it was was the Iria region, and it's to the northeast of Orre, but unlike that region, it's pretty much just sprawling grassland for as far as the eye can see, and there are also a lot of forests and rivers. So not too many rock, ice or fire types, but plenty of grass, Flying, ground, and water.
And like how the first two games had all the towns named after colors and flowers, here all the towns are named after birds.
Pipit Town is the starting point, and players choose from Bulbasaur, Cyndaquil, or Mudkip as their starter. The host Professor is Prof. Beech, and he's more of the nerdy studious type of professor, like Elm.
From there, a small path leads to the west, which runs through the Pipit Hills, a forested region where ground and grass types are prevalent. To the east is a river that can only be crossed with Surf.
After the Pipit Hills is Junco Town, a community barely bigger than Pipit. However, from here you can travel south and reach Orre. The first Gym is located here. It the GRASS type. The leader is Adam.
To the north is a long, flat road that runs through rich farmland and a deciduous valley. At the end of the path is a hill that overlooks Oriole City.
Oriole City is the capital city of Iria, although it is only the second largest. The second Gym is here. It is the FIGHTING type. The leader is Glass. Players also return here at the end of the journey to compete in the Pokémon League.
West of Oriole is a small path through a hilly region known as The Knolls. Afterwards, players reach Kagu Village. This small community is threatened to be eaten up by Oriole as it expands. The Battle Tower is here. Players return to Oriole.
North of Oriole, players run through a long flat expanse until they reach a fork in the road. The east is currently inaccessible. Players must follow the left fork towards the west.
Goldcrest City is the largest metropolis in Iria. The third Gym is here. It is the POISON type. The leader is Zella.
To the West is a long, curving path that slowly turns south, then west again.
Linnet Town is where the headquarters of the Iria region's police are located. The fourth Gym is here. It is the PSYCHIC type. The leader is Deb.
To the north is a shady path bordered by many trees.
Lyre Village is home to the Pokémon Super Contests.
North of Lyre is a continuation of the forest path.
Kinglet Port is on a wide river that separates Iria from the Pretia Region. It is possible to catch Water types here. Players now return to Goldcrest.
North of Goldcrest is a path that runs through an old quarry known as Low Point. It is easy to find Rock types here.
North of Low Point is Thrush Town. The fifth Gym is here. It is the NORMAL type. The leader is Sluder. Players return to Goldcrest and take the path back towards Oriole and take the previously unreachable fork (players get Rock Smash inside Low Point) and continue East.
That's it for now.

Sounds great so far! Ok, so maybe I could help a little? At least with town/city names and things like that. ((The oriole is the state bird where I live xp cool beans!))
Alright, uh...bird names!
Linnet - a brown/gray finch Kestrel = a small falcon Philomel - apparently means nightingale and is a name used to describe the bird (has something to do with mythology) Albatross - large, oceanic bird Osprey - a fish-eating bird Kagu - Bluish gray mountain-forest bird. (look it up on wiki...it neat looking) Lyrebird - another cool bird (look up in wiki...its a ground-dwelling Australian bird) Goldcrest Kinglet Starling Thrush
Also, the basic: Phoenix, Raven, Robin, Sparrow, Crane, Falcon, Hawk, Owl, Wren, Crow, Swallow, Blackbird, Pheasant, Heron, Quail, Dove (Mourning Dove?)
((I assume you want to kind of stay away from the really obvious ones though for the most part, right?))

Awesome updates...so have you got the region entirely figured out already? I was kind of wondering if we could throw in a Dragon-type gym...Haven't seen one of those in a while...It could be like one of the last ones though. And what else? Oh, well you don't see too many Dark type gyms either. That would be interesting...
