I'm thinking of doing a small avi art shop over the summer, since I actually have some free time since school's done. It would be free-hand on my drawing tablet for the most part, unless stated otherwise. I'm thinking of instead of gold, trading for items on my wishlist, or art. The item/art trade would be along the lines of:
1g-2k= head shot Head Shot Example 2-5k= chibi (will be CG'ed for trades, but drawing style will be similar) Chibi Example 1 Chibi Example 2 5k-15k= full body Full Body Style 1 Full Body Style 2 15k on up= Better Full Body (more detail, shading, etc. Will be CG'd for the trade) Better Full Body example
So for example, someone traded me a Red and Maroon Hair Pin they would get a head shot, Complex Shirt would get full-body art, and Steel-Plated Ninja Headband would get the best art I can ever hope to turn out that is satisfactory enough to be of equal value.
I guess what I'm trying to see is, would anyone be interested if I did this? If so, should I keep it TLOEM-only, or open actual shop in the forums?

I would post it in TLOEM first and then in the regular forums. The only thing might be to lower your prices for trade, art now-a-days on Gaia doesn't go for much so some might not want to give you something like that. I would say though that it looks pretty good. I would pay real gold money for some of your art if you would let me instead of an item.

What Kentia said.
Also:
Selling art on Gaia isn't a constant thing. You would think that slightly better art = slightly better pay, but it's not like that.
It's more of a curve if you know what I mean. Once you get past a certain point on the quality scale, the prices get exponentially higher, but before that point the prices are really low.

Yeah, I knew I'd be tweaking prices like crazy. Prolly keep everything under 2k, unless someone is just that generous (doubtful, but you never know...) sweatdrop
Thinking of starting once I return to the south and retrieve my drawing tablet back.
